Here you go
If its unlocked, just download the software, connect via active sync or bootloader mode. It will walk you through.
Hello Everyone,
Is there to unlock a tmobile g1 for free without having to call tmobile. Also if I do the spl thingy does it unlock it? Can someone tell me how to do it through the free way? Please let me know.
Thank You
Either pay for it or have a friend on Tmobile call in for ya. Please use the serach button as there have been many many many many many threads on this already.
no, you have to call tmo or pay for the service online, which can be expensive. rooting your phone does not unlock it. there is no free way other than calling tmobile.
What about this?
Hello Everyone,
But it says in this one that it can be. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=464668.
Can someone tell me then what that is and how to do it? Please let me know.
Thank You

That post is incorrect. All it does is ROOT. It does not unlock the phone. You have to call TMO or pay for an unlock service.

I don't get it..?
Btw, you wont have to re-enter your unlock code when you flash a new ROM, as the rom doesn't affect it at all...
Original question(s) seem to be solved.

Ok, i've just recently flashed a couple of ROMs and found out that of those none works with GSM networks, so which ROMs do work with GSM networks?

The people in these forums are going need a little more information. Are you SIM Unlocked? What GSM SIM card do you have? What ROM's did you flash that you say don't work? What is your current setup. ROM, Firmware, S-OFF? You know all the fun stuff that helps people answer your question.

Check your IMEI is accurate and has not been blacklisted , use this guide
Check this out! Links to useful Guides and " Banned " Documentaries
maybe you have wrong modem for your area? try flashing other modem, you'll have to research for the one you need... list here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1158783
just download and flash from recovery
Is your IMEI correct, like xsenman said???

If you can unlock Bootloader. You can flash anything you want and check for it work or not. If it works. Fine. If doesn't. Do it again with another firmware.
