Wifi not working - Please Help! - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I explain you my situation:
I'm on ViperOne 2.00 (JB 4.2.2) without custom kernel and without fastboot. I used my One yesterday evening and all was working (also wifi). I charged it to 100% and then i unplugged and turned off it before to go to bed. This morning i turned it on and wifi was not working! In quick toggles (native) i see WiFI active, but when i go in settings i see "Activating Wifi...". I can't turn wifi off cause the button is grey and i can't press it... I tried to reboot 5 times, but it stuck on "Activating Wifi". i tried bluetooth and it works, but no wifi... I activated Airplane mode but it stucks on Activating Wifi... What shall i do? Please help me!

Possible work around for WiFi connection cycling from Boot and sleep....

For those having the constant cycling of the wifi after coming out of sleep or reboot, try this workaround.
Boot or wakeup Nook.
Enable wifi (any method)
Go to Google maps
(don't worry if the map isn't showing yet)
sweep to an area of the map you haven't been before
zoom in several times.....
wait up to 10 seconds....
Hey look the wifi connected and is stable.....
turn off maps...
I have been using this workaround for three weeks now and it works every time and I don't know why this works, but it seems that having an app drawing data seems to break the wifi out of its cycle loop.
PS. I am using this rom...

and this statusbar hack...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=999214
Happened to me once. I just turned off wifi, then turned it back on.
I also set wifi not to turn off with the screen. I turn it off manually.
And something I noticed in the last few days is that the wireless is really prone to this problem if you use the advanced settings to toggle wireless off when the screen blanks. I currently have tasker set up to turn off wireless when the screen is off and that doesn't give me any problems. I've been doing this for weeks on the recent cm7 nightlies without a problem

You should've just put that in the title, that you have Nookie Foryo 0.6.8 running Brian's status bar hack.
But thanks for the suggestion. Will give it a go.
There is an app in the market called waketimer that does this also.

I have the wifi cycling issues coming out of sleep with my Froyo Nookie 0.6.8 too.
The work around I found was just to hold the power button until the shutdown menu appears. Do nothing and in about 15-30 seconds I see the wifi connect on the status bar, then I cancel the shutdown menu.
After autonooter3, I'm having the same issue for the first time ever on this device, on rare occasion the wifi won't startup. I downloaded/installed a free app called "Auto WiFi Toggle" and I haven't see the issue surface since.
Could any of you folks let me know if this little app may have solved the problem, or is it just sporatic luck.

Time without signal 100%

I've seen the GS2 has this problem, but I got a Vivid yesterday and it seems to have the same problem. I have tried going into all the "about phone" settings because I know that on the GS2 you just had to go into "status" to fix it. That's not working here. Any suggestions or ideas? The phone has a signal and on the chart I see no point in where it lost a signal.
Edit: I am in an LTE area too. Is the time without signal just for HSPA+?
I think something similar happened to me. I tried airplane mode and turning the phone off and back on, but still no fix.
I was able to fix my problem by holding down the power button and selecting "Restart". Next time it booted up I was able to connect.

[Q] wifi off while screen is off

Hello xda community,
I have a small problem.
Everytime i turn the screen off my p880 is disconnecting With WiFi. When screen is off, i cant get WhatsApp or facebook notifications because there is no wifi. When i turn screen on again, it connects with wifi automatically, and after 3-5 seconds i get all notifications which i should have get when screen was off.
I have tested this on a lot of wifi 'servers'. Everywhere the same Problem.
My p880 [gsm] is only rooted, nothing flashed or something.
So how can i solve This Problem? Do i have to flash kdz files or what can i do?
Thx for your help

Under the Wi-Fi Settings, make sure that 'Keep Wi-Fi on during sleep' is ticked, just like on every Android device I've ever seen.
If you can't find the settings: On the wifi settings page, press menu button and select the menu.

[Q] HELP! Phone restart

Hey!
So i've been recently having a problem with my HTC One M7 where i would turn it on, then it would go straight to the home screen and gives me a notification about being connected to wifi which enables me to use wifi calling. But my Wifi calling is disabled. Then after about 10 seconds of my phone being on, it turns off and restart itself. I've just recently recovered my phone and updated my phone before this started happening me. I dont know what to do! Please Help!
Thanks!
