hi
id just like to share my Widget/Appmodifications for some SonyApplications. i edited them for a light look, Honami ROM/Widgets light look a like
No idea if they work in every Sony Stock Rom or even with every Xperia? :silly: tell me if not work for you.
if you wanne try out, just rename the apks and put in system/app
and you all know the word backup, i guess ...its nothing to eat, but its helpful if something unexpected happen
(backup stock apks, or know where can get them from)
maybe a reboot after replace apks is a good idea.
worked on the following rom (.145 Sony Stock)
[ROM] Honami Experience v2 [Xperia T][/U](all apk's work for me)

RecentCallsWidget, TopContactsWidget, SemcNotes App
pictures:
pictures offline, no more updates
I personnaly prefer dark backgrounds but it''s beautiful :good:
Looks sleek mate
Do you mind if i request the calendar widget?
Sent from Tsubasa using Wild networks..
I put online some more themed apks. (see first post)
It contains:
RecentCallswidget
TopContactsWidget
and
SemcNotes.apk (light themed app)
i show you how it should look, if you try out:
there we have 3types of RecentCallsWidget (full transparent, light background, or light background with grey emtpy frame)
TopContactsWidget
SemcNotes
not working on xperia tx
can you port these to tx
hm i not think so. maybe just try what you need? maybe works? if not put back your stock .apk file. should not break much to try out, or?
i added some more edited apk's
here are some pictures:
SomcWifiDisplay_light themed app and widget.apk
UpdateCenter_light themed.apk
skin-picker_light themed.apk
DownloadProviderUi_light themed.apk
TaskSwitcher_light themed.apk
SmallAppManagerService_light themed_blue accent.apk
(smallapp focused, smallaps unfocused, smallapp minimized)
as you can see on pics, maybe here and there some little issue, but nothign annoying for me and myself.
apk's working without any problem in [ROM] Honami Experience v2 [Xperia T] [19/08/13]
whats up folks?
i just havve some new apks for adding to your xperia T!
i modded the framework-res.apk from the Honami Rom
i would say a great part of your Rom will be light themed.
- system popups
- some apps without an own defined theme
- clear all buttons light themed
But, there is a but:silly:
there will be some textcolor bugs, i think i themed some textcolor the wrong way. the problem is, i have no idea which direction i should look to fix. and im a bit lazy and busy with other stuff.
so i thought i share the framework-res.apk. if someone has an idea where have to look for textcolor bugfix: say hello to me ok
downloadlink in first post.
before replace your framework:
uninstall xposed and all modules!
just rename framework-res.apk
copy to /system
change permissions
move it to system/framework
maybe there will come up some fc
reboot
by the way
DaRk-L0rD has that framework-res.apk and if iam not wrong he will try to use it for his next update of his honami-rom.
so you also can wait for his update.
just a picky mix of screenshots
the textcolor issue seems to be mostly with Semc.apk's
for me the textcolorbugs arent that horrible, nearly everything ligth themed....just try out, you can change your framework back at every moment
Its clear to everybody that having backups is a good thing, ya?
I like the framework-res.apk But I'd like it get the correct color of the fonts.
I'm using it from the day you set the link of the framework.
PD. Forgive my english. I hope you understand me.
Can't view the pictures.
sorry, i not have actual screenshots, because im running a different rom, it should look like DaRk-L0rD's light themed honami experience rom, i think.
im only working at theming this rom (no honami framework):

Moved it to /system as instructed, promptly after giving it the right permission I received Google Play has stopped pop-up, System UI has stopped, and whatever stopped messages. Shut down, result is boot loop at Sony wording. My Batt % was 40, I tried to hang it to Sony Companion for repair, but it did not do anything. After I read elsewhere on XDA-D something about the charge cycles which I did not fully understand but now I understand their importance for the system, I gave it the wall charger treatment over night, the phone was still not detected by Sony Companion, but it did the repair installation anyway.
Stock Xperia V .145, rooted with locked bootloader, just bloat removed. If the same happens to someone else, don't quickly give up on the first failed try with Sony Companion. For me it worked after the 3. try.
Just a feed-back. I wonder if I did make a mistake during my framework-res operation. Did others get it to work?

BLACK HOLE
This is my latest theme for the Epic, and will most probably be the last before Froyo is out. I'm not sure the framework changes in Froyo, but I assume it will be no trouble to port all of my themes over to Froyo after the release. I hope you enjoy!
First you need to root
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=770388
Then you need clockwork
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=782300
Finally you need a deoxed theme template

lookin good! only thing i would say is package a different wall paper in the mix. the dark blue icons dont play well with dark wallpapers. i would also say whip up a dock to match and youve got it!
Doc bar is in the works. So are plenty more extras.

do you know how the battery life on a stock deodexed di18 is compared to a custom deodexed rom. I really want to flash your theme. Also, does crake001 for the battery percentage mod work with stock deodexed and your theme?
i'm new to the android world but was successful with changing themes on my iphone. please help me by giving me step by step on how to apply this theme. i already downloaded to my samsung epic but is stuck there.
g.salas
I haven't played around with too many roms to compare battery life. I carry two batteries and don't really worry about it. I didn't do the battery in percentages on this one. It is on the list for the future. Right this second I'm using a blue battery widget. Flashing my theme over crake's battery percentage will erase his mod, but it might be possible to copy my framework-res.apk and twframework.apk. I'm not sure though. Keep checking back and the percentage mod will end up on here.

Alright, first you need to download the one click root method and one click clockworkmod recovery if you haven't done that yet. The next step is you need to choose a rom that is deodexed, or download the stock di18 deodexed rom and flash the zip in clockworkmod recovery. You cannot theme the stock rom that comes on your phone, it must be deodexed so you don't run into force closed issues. Once your rom is booted and running, just boot back into recovery and apply blackhole.zip. That isn't the basic as the instructions get if you need more help, pm me and I'll go into further detail, as well as provide you with links to everything you need. Everything you need is available here at xda. Don't hesitate to ask more questions.

having some trouble with this theme i have tried it on the galaxy rom by noobnl and the epic experience and on both right after i flash it the browser, contacts, and messaging icons disappear.
Sorry to hear that! I haven't tested either of these roms with the theme. The only rom I ever themed besides stock di18 deodexed was andromeda. I'll contact a few people and find out if there is something I can change in the theme to fix this. I'll pm you with anything I find out and update the OP to let others know. Once again, sorry about that! I believe when apps dissappear like that it has something to do with noticing a change in the md5sum. So I'm guessing that I'll have to sign those apps individually to fix but I'll wait for some confirmation before having you flash a mistake again.

I found the root of the problem dealing with the theme erasing half the system apps out of the phone on flash. I re-worked the apps and just successfully flashed over Frontier GS 3.0 rom, but I know it will work finally because I had the aosp magic rom and my theme deleted all the apps on there as well. It was because I was still theming apps from the dg07 build instead of using the ones from di18. Since I was using stock di18 deodexed, for some reason the apps still took but when I flashed any rom at XDA, the results were bad. I will update the OP and post as soon as I post the fix. Sorry for any inconvenience anyone has suffered.
Theme is fixed, link is updated enjoy!
Theme update! I have been real busy but haven't stopped working on the theme. The dialer colors will be adjust next!
Included now is a fix for the power control widget where you can actually see the buttons. Also the camera is themed now, here are some pics:
**Notice in the pictures the button to switch from camera to camcorder is lighter than the rest, that was fixed before upload, they should all be the same.
Also I themed Tapatalk pro on my phone. Since so many people use it, I'll help anyone who wants their version to match. I'll supply the drawable-hdpi folder and show you how to copy it in.
wow awesome work! Where is that power control widget? does it live in another apk?
edit: I think I just found it in the settings.apk (?)
Yeah settings.apk, just pull out the pngs for the widget or you'll get the other colors as well

Note: If you use this theme as a base for yours, please just ask first as a courtesy since you will change the icons, yeah, but the time I spent in making full-size notification toggles or changing summary text color, you won't spend it or re-do it . Thanks
This theme is included in NOVA v5 I can't tell if it will work in Stock firmwares. That's why I'll keep the v8 links at the bottom, that work with 10C and 10E firmwares, at least
·v11:
··Changed drop down arrows to real Gingerbread ones, which are also perfectly seen in white background, as you can see
··Lockscreen clock moved slightly to the right.
··Restored carrier name and SIM icon in Lockscreen
··Progressbar is orange again
Scroll down to find v11 themes for 10E stock Firmware!
·v9b:
··Added Power Menu for Recovery and Reboot [ALL CREDIT for Power Menu goes to dxdiag32. BIG THANKS dude]
··Lockscreen has been redesigned No carrier name nor SIM icon, as well as no "Slide up to Unlock" text

··Many other small fixes that I can't remember
·All icons and visual resources have been changed from Gingerbread SistemUI.apk and framework-res.apk to LG O Black framework-res.apk.
·Some icons (like 5 or so) didn't exist in Gingerbread framework, so I took LG stock ones and made them in gray scale, so they look like Gingerbread ones, I hope.
NOTE 1: With LG framework, when data is disabled, no arrows are shown. With this theme, I used the grey icons (with arrows) for no data traffic, and green icons for data enabled. Just have that in mind.

Oh, I read you in Tapatalk and didn't understand what you were talking about because you said installed apps icons and that had nothing to do with framework, so I went to my computer and with the pics I saw what you were talking about. You are right, I missed those icons :S. I'm away from home for a week and only have a netbook. I will try to do it, altough the wifi is not good at all here so upload will be difficult, but I will get into it as soon as I can and add all the missing icons, I promise.
About AM/PM thing, I will take a look too, although I'm not sure I can do something about it in framework (can't touch other apk's yet because ROM is odexed).
I hope that doesn't bother you so much for you to stop using it never again!
PS: could you give me the link to that website with the icons? It would make the task much easier!
Thanks!

It's fine, doesn't bother me much. This theme will do until Gingerbread comes out for the OB, and someone makes a stock ROM.
This is the link to the website I got the picture from: http://pocketnow.com/android/gingerbread-status-bar-icons-revealed
although I doubt it will help you. I'm sure you can get them from the framework-res.apk from a stock gingerbread ROM, Cyanogen Mod for example.

I hope Gingerbread comes soon to our Blacks... Although it will come with modded LG icons too. (I actually use the other theme, the WP7 one now with tiles , so I will have to make another framework anyway)
I thought they were downloadable resources, not a pic. I will, although the last CM7 ROM I got, there were so much things that were not stock that I freaked out. I will look for another or directly gingerbread graphic resources. The Nexus ROM I got to do this had a clear lack of some icons (I realised because some there weren't), because I also took them from SystemUI.apk (in Gingerbread resources are some in framework-res.apk, some in SystemUI.apk, a pain in the ass).
Thanks

I found this link (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=954400) to do that so you can see how difficult it is (if even possible for the Black at the moment). It involves Java environment, services.jar and other stuff. I will give it a try, but when back at home, where Java and all that is installed.

Sure, but doesn't look like for the Black is going to be easy. I just had a look at xml's in framework as a MIUI forums talked about (SystemUI.apk that is not present in FroYo), so I looked into framework, res, values, strings.xml, but didn't find anything about date in statusbar. It must be somewhere else. Will look anyway, it's hard to me just say "no, impossible I won't even try" with these things.
I also noticed the headphone notification icon was not changed

I will revise/review (what is the word??) all the icons. However, if you want you can write the icons you notice that are missing (editing your previous post so they are together) and I will take a look when I do it so I don't miss any icon and I make sure.

Noejn told me that if I had NOVA ROM, flashable zip had to have an ext4 updater-script, but if I had stock ROM, updater-script had to be rewritten for ext3, so I was surprised about what you said.
Have you tried this theme/framework yet? I would be happy to hear that it works with stock ROM.

Hi pays,
Can you teach us how to replace icons & resign apk/zip properly so it can flashable like yours. I tried to rezip & push framework-res.apk using adb and it stuck at bootscreen after reboot so I must reflash hahaa.
Or you kindly wanna make another theme like miui, cyanogen or kitchen style. I'm suck at programming stuff. Thnx before.

I am not pays, pays is dev of Pays ROM. You cannot push framework-res.apk if phone is working or it will bootloop
In order to make a framework theme, you can get the deodexed framework-res.apk from NOVA v1 first post, download APK manager 4.9 (Google), follow the instructions to decompile it (put apk in proper folder, open apk manager and press number 9 and enter), then modify the png's you want from projects/framework/res/drawable-hdpi with GIMP or Photoshop, then recompile it with 11 button in apk manager, rename it to framework-res.apk and drop it into the flashable zip replacing the gingerbread one.
This is the theory, but you will probably get some error or bootloop, which is a pain in this phone. I will explain how to do it well if you are really interested in doing it, when I can write from a computer.
If you give or show me the icons/style you want, I can do it in a few days.

Things are still blue (even after a reboot)
Are you on CM9? ATM, I only have resources included in the CM9 framework-res, systemui, and keyboard themed. AOKP may not be fully themed, as well as other Roms not based on CM9. Patience, full AOKP is coming very soon.
If you are on CM9 and it's still blue, and you're inside the packages mentioned below (inside "Contains:", please let me know! (Screenshots are even better!!)
Redogen Bootanimation for XOOM (updated 20120612)
*download and copy to /data/local/, this is not included in the above theme, and is not a flashable .zip.
Do not copy to /system/media, that's just asking for trouble.
---------------
Contains:
framework-res
systemui
LatinIME (keyboard)
Optional: bootanimation [/data/local/]

Changelog
20120807 : Fixed incorrectly compiled issues for folks on hdpi screen res'. If you get an "incorrectly compiled" error, please see the above route to fix. If it still persists, please let me know.

20120612 : Updated the CM9 bootanimation to the current with Cid.
Archive : If you still want Redogen with skateboarding Andy, you can still download it here: http://goo.gl/2tnBe20120522 : Added even more resources, pulled all possibilities from the CM GitHub. This should now support all devices, xhdpi, hdpi, mdpi, etc. Please let me know if there is still issues with applying it.
20120516 : HDPI resources added from fw-res and SystemUI, should work with phones now. Please let me know if there's still issues.
20120514 : Now available via a Theme Chooser app. most elements are themed. Trying to keep up with the nightlies.
20120502 : EOS: Fixed some errors and added some images I missed. If you see anything else let me know.
20120501 : Added support for EOS 2.0.0. Settings issue is still persistent, so it is not a complete theme. Working on it.
20120410 : Reverted one file to fix settings FC. Included redogen bootanimation in /data/local/ (if you have a custom one, make a backup or remove from file before flash).
Awesome work! Can't wait for the EOS Version.
Is this going to get updated to the 2012/04/12 cm9 update? Thanks

EOS 2.0 0 out where's my themes????
Okay where's my red, green or gray???
EOS Stable 2 out Can we expect some bazar love????
The red theme was by far my favorite from the hammerhead and moray ROMs. Eager to have this on my EOS Xoom.
I'd be willing to buy beers (yes, plural) for yellow, should you ever find yourself with some spare cycles (yes, I am laughing!), but I know this stuff takes time and that is always at a premium.
Again, all the investment in the red and green themes is most certainly welcome from those of us who get to show off the results to all our jealous non-Xoom owners
Well I'm glad y'all have patiently waited, but you can now sorta celebrate... redICS has been ported for EOS 2.0.0, but is still a {WIP} (Work In Progress)... With more testing tonight I'll find more things I missed I'm sure, so bear with me. There is no settings bug because I decided (at the very last minute) to take it out since it was effecting apps not related to the Xoom... still more head scratching to do on that one. If you see any issues, please let me know.

Thanks for praise
Yellow... that'd be interesting to say the least lol. But, if time allows, I'll dip in and see what I can do. I believe I have a request for pink or purple from a little bit ago as well. And beers do sound nice Donations are always greatly appreciated.
I know, yellow is kinda odd, but purple would be sweet too! You earned the beers, so go and have some on me. Thanks again! Good to see your results running on my Xoom. Much appreciated!
I think orange would be beast here, lol if not just to be contrary. It'd fill that gap MIUI for tablets leaves...
Updated EOS tonight to fix some errors and missed images. Also fixed the bootanimation (not sure how that one sneaked past me). If you see anything else please let me know.
Also, CM shared they're getting the theme engine rocking, but is not in primetime yet, so themes for Rogue's CM9 will be much easier once it comes out and I get the hang of it.

I'll add orange to the list as well.
Any chance of adding a deep cobalt like blue to the list? Its a much nicer color than the ICS blue I think...
Working great....loving my red xoom, few blues still there but I can live with em lol......great job

Probably a dumb question but, if i have this theme with iammodos droidfont softkey mods the colors will different right? As in the rest will be red but his softkey theme will still be white because that was how they were made?
Thanks

If they SoftKey mod is flashed in recovery (and not with ZipThemer or MetaMorph, etc), then the SystemUI will probably be overwritten, and any changes that redICS makes will be overwritten by his mod, or vice versa (mine will overwrite his changes). I haven't tried the mod, so I can't say for sure ATM.
If it's a ZipThemer/MetaMorph mod, then flash redICS in recovery first, boot up and use the app to do the mod and his mod will overwrite only the files he has included in the mod (the softkeys).

will do, thanks
Flashed to EOS 2.0.0, applied redics, updated the edify, themed the softkeys with zipthemer then flashed in recovery, but didn't work. Same grayish white color. *shrugs* Oh well thanks anyways. Also I am on a LTE xoom and the theme seemed to be working fine, great work
/thanks for this going to try this out now
redICS updated to a Theme Chooser app for CM9 Nightlies! There will be issues or missing themed elements (They'll still be the stock blue), this is because of current limitations of the Theme Chooser; they're working on it tho. I will continue to develop this theme to add other apps and missing aspects of the theme. Any issues please let me know.
* I've added a test version for EOS Everest. I can't use that Rom properly, so if anyone wants to try it please let me know how it does. Please, please, PLEASE perform a nandroid backup prior to trying out the test theme, just in case.
*** Link fixed!!! (thanks uppon2)
Hey all,
as I like the Bubbles Live-Wallpaper but it has to much blue in it (because: the OLED material used to produce blue light degrades significantly more rapidly than the materials that produce other colors -> see en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oled#Disadvantages for more information), I decided to modify it a little bit.
The modifications are:
- Changed Bubbles into little green Androids
- Changed noise field BG into just black (also good for Battery drain )
You need to be root to change the Bubbles wallpaper, because it's a system app!
As I didn't change the sources, there can be only one "Bubbles" wallpaper on your phone. Therefore you have to delete or cut the stock NoiseField.apk which is located at /system/app.
After that you can use adb to push the modded NoiseField.apk at /system/app :
Code:
adb push NoiseField.apk /system/app
apk and screenshots are attached!

EDIT: I made a CWM flashable zip. As I don't know if there is different update-binary files for Nexus S 4G and I9023, please perform a CWM Backup, if you want to try the flashable zip!
For I9020 it should work as it is!
The flashable zip is also attached!
Awesome! Thanks a lot!

Nvm this post. This is great! Thanks a bunch!
Update
Added CWM flashable zip!

I've searched but I can't find an answer to this one, is there a mod to add say a close all button to the task manager on an Xperia t?
I know there is apps that will add a widget to a home screen, but I'm looking for something a little more integrated.
Thank you
Install Niaboc79's Honami Home & Widgets and you'll get it (I think, not sure, install it anyway this home is much better than the stock one)
Get the this and extract the task thingy http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2206308

Thanks that does appear to have the close all button I am after, just not sure how to extract and only install just that part?
I notice it comes alongside a notification toggle, but I really dont want to change the one I have as nreuge very kindly adapted a lidroid v2 notification toggle to have sony style found here http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=2304996&d=1381018726
Could you possibly point me in the right direction on how to attach that close all part to my current task manager? Without changing my lidroid v2 notification toggles.
Thank You
Not to worry think I sorted it, just opened the zip with winrar and deleted the systemui.apk leaving just the taskswitcher.apk and then installed the zip with cwm
Seems to have left me with my lidroid toggles but added a nice close all button to my taskbar.
Thank You
Systemui is the notification bar dude...im saying task only

Well your previous explanation might have been a little brief for him.
- get the file as mentioned in http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2206308
- extract the zip file
- copy taskswitcher.apk to your mobile
- go to system/app on your mobile
- find taskswitcher.apk and copy it to a separate safe place
- copy the modified taskswitscher.apk into your system/app
- set correct permissions
- reboot
- enjoy
It works like a charm. Closing all tasks should be a factory item. Thanks for the hint, Steven!
Yeah cheers guys, I wasn't meaning I deleted systemui from my phone, I just deleted it from the zip so when I used cwm to install the zip it only installed the task apk, either way it's working perfectly with no glitches and I still have my nice notification toggles
Xposed framework puts a close all button in recent apps as well. I cant remember which module it is but I think it is xblast
