MIUI v5 JB 4.2.2 PatchRom help? - HTC Vivid, Raider, Velocity

I have googled all over the place but I cant find out how to get cp ../honor/makefile to work when I run this command it says cp stat ` ../honor/makefile no such file or directory. and I need a makefile so I can "make workspace" and the commands that com after that. when I get this fixed we should have a working MIUI v5 JB 4.2.2. Any help? I have also looked around for the makefile but I cant find it.

in your source go to device/htc/holiday look at take cm.mk and there is your makefile.
youll probably have to edit it and place it in the right folder

Did you wipe before the flash?
If so.
Have to tried pushing wlan.ko manually?

either. Extract wlan.ko from whatever ROM you're trying to use (just extract the whole update.zip into a folder and use windows to search for that specific file. Should be located under /system/modules/ or /system/lib or something like that. Once you find it, push it to the respective location on your /system/ folder or copy it to your sdcard and use the terminal commands to copy it over. Once you've done that, try the WiFi again.
In before "how do I do that?": We have a guide specifically for adb/terminal commands.
EDIT: ok, its not under /system/lib or modules its under /system/bin/a2sd
cool thanks ill give it a try once i get home.

Sorry for double doubting again ) But i just want confirmation.
Also, Some of us are still having force close and other issues with the init sript. Just FYI.

I think it has something to do with davik cache. I have to figure out a way to clear all cache without wiping. I dont want to go through all that non-sense.

Honestly you could just add the script from userinit.sh inside of the script, or the other way around & should still work fine.
Question, I would like to do as you said. Just add to the userinit
Is the problem just having the system/data mounted? It seems thats all your script does. If so, I can just use a widget to unmount/mount as i go. and not bother to have my system/data mounted all the time Please let me know.
Thanks!
Nicely done! I appreciate the work, I was hoping someone figured out a way to do adb push.. xda to the rescue again

adb remount is not needed with my script.. system / rootfs is already mount via the script.

I sent smokestack a PM to see if he can help me out on how to do it. I just flashed the phone with Froyo following the directions here. I wasnt to sure about what I was doing but I did everything and it all eventually worked out well, with a couple scares lol. Im new to the rooting scene. I mean Im pretty savy when it comes to certain stuff and I was easy to install beta leaks and builds with BlackBerrys for 3 years. Im new to Android since the Captivate came out, so Im slowly trying to learn the tricks of the trade

The instructions seemed clear as day to me. Put the phone in debug mode, use adb to push the files, execute a shell script, use sqlite3 to allow side loading, change permissions on the files you pushed, and reboot.

I think what they are looking for is where to put the files that they download. I know in the rooting tread, it was missing. I also think some people do it differently, so it may help just to let them know how you find it easiest to navigate to them, etc.
Personally, I take the files that were downloaded and extract them all. Then make sure you have downloaded the android SDK program and put it on the root of your computers hard drive such as drive C:. Then add those files you downloaded to the "Tools" file within sdk.
To navigate to them with command prompt, it would look like: cd C:\android-sdk-windows\tools
Then run the commands as listed in the tread.
Hope this helps.
Perhaps this is not the answer you are looking for, but if you are comfortable flashing roms, flash Cognition 2.2 (its already rooted).
Good luck

[GPS][DEV]Heathens GPS Fix[EDT] - Updated 3/19/11

Gingerbread.GPS.zip
This is a flash for the GPS files pulled from the new XWJV1 Gingerbread I9000 Leak.
Rather a mix of GB GPS and Vibrant GPS.
Wipes Dalvik so it will take a minute longer to reboot after flashing it.
This took a little longer for me to lock indoors but I was still able to get 6 meters accuracy with 6 of 12 birds locked.
************************************************************
S.gps.zip
AKA Super GPS
This is the one you want to try!
Flash on 2.2.1 and under.
Great success has been had when combining this software fix with the hardware fix found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=878970
************************************************************
im assuming this is for cm 7? i hope so and if it is i love you !!!

Well, first off, you will be the first person to try these files on cm7 - that I know of.
Secondly, unzip the file and place the files on your sdcard and use root explorer to copy and paste them in to their respective folders using the folder structure I have them in as your guide.

Waiting on CM7 feedback from this as well.
I am trying on CM7. As a note, the /data/gps/ folder has some completely different looking files in there than the secgps.conf. /system/bin/ also did not contain agpsd, but /system/etc/ did contain gps.conf. I do not know what any of that means specifically.
3+ minutes so far in GPSTest (indoors), and it does not even pretend to be sniffing a satellite.
Works beautifully on Darkys 9.3.

I am not sure how to use it. looks like a lot of crazy extraneous info, the only thing I can find about installing is this :
InstallAppProgress D Installation error code: -24
InstallAppProgress I Finished installing de.robv.android.xposed.installer
Edit : found a little more
cannot chmad dir '...xposed...' Operation not permitted
OK from that log into I did more digging, it seems somehow there was a orphaned folder that was blocking the install. I deleted the folder and now it has installed fine. Thank you so much for the help!!!
