You could just unlock it for pennies. What's the big deal?

500£ at carphonewarehouse, with tax-free it would be 440£, I think this price is nice for Xperia Z
What do we know about unlocking the bootloader? Will it be possible? If it is possible how easy it would it be.. if this has been addressed I missed it

I'd say "not high." The HTC One wasn't supposed to be unlockable with their Dev site on att but it was. Maybe this will slip through the cracks.

As with previous HTC devices, they are unlockable on HTC Dev until a day or two before street date. The AT&T and Verizon models will be locked, and will have a Developer Edition. This was already confirmed by Mr. Punit on Google+.

Unlocked mine with a code. Cost $5 bucks. D959 running on AT&T with no issues. Anyone else running their flex unlocked?

You mean carrier unlocked right..you probably could have ran some commands in terminal emulator or through adb to save money.

I unlocked too but, how did u get to the menu to unlock? I had to dial something on the dialer to get to the menu . When you put a different sim did it show the option to input the unlock code?

There is an app in google play that allows you to unlock the G Flex or ANY LG OR HTC device and it is now only 3.50 to 3.99 for their unlock for te LG Devices and most HTC Devices, Its the cheapest I have found by far
Heres a link to the vid. and google play
Ugggg these rules about posting, Ive been working on a rom for the G2 and some recovery stuff for the flex and still cant post a HOW TO!
Or the link below you will have to delete the (STUPID) from the front of the link

Didn't buy the phone outright, so there's some time limit limitations on that. I may be looking to sell this phone, so I'm looking to get it unlocked.
I think you can request unlock after a few weeks.

C6906 will work. Then follow the guide to root and upgrade. Best not to unlock bootloader unless you are very comfortable with it. Some carrier branded models cannot be unlocked but you can still root.
