The only thing that's keeping me right now from this phone is the sunlight legibility. Some claim that it has worse sunlight legibility than the one(GG3 being more reflective),is it true? Also, does this phone have LPDDR3 memory?
Is that all your worried about?
Do your self a favor and go and get one.

Does anyone else have light bleeding on the edge of the bezel? Its only when the softkeys light up and its on the lower left hand side. Was just curious to see if im the only one. Its really noticeable at night.

I noticed that early on a lot of folks confused the poorly-conceived background on the rosie for light leakage but I haven't heard a lot about it since then and I don't have what you're describing either.

Its definitely light shinning through the edge of the bezel. Cause if the lights for the softkeys turn off its not there anymore.

Well i am now because my screen when it slides up is tearing up the black/silver finish next to the keyboard

They all have light leakage from the bottom where the glass meets the bezel. The light is coming from the soft-keys. I have seen several D3's and they all have this issue to varying degrees.
have it here too. nothing too noticeable, but i did see it. really though, other than that (and the questionable battery cover), this thing is built just as solid as the D2, if not better.
Here too
I have a very minute amount of light leakage too, on my D3, at the bottom edge of the screen. I had the same issue, actually a lot more noticeable, on my Thunderbolt. This is a common issue with all phones that use capacitive menu buttons at the bottom. It varies in degrees, but is there on almost every piece I have seen at the local Verizon store.
Mine definitely does it; but to be completely honest, I think it looks kinda neat, so I've got no complaints.

Getting the nexus 7 on my next paycheck and was wondering if there are any issues that I should know about ? Will it do a lot of the tasks done by a laptop ? Smooth os? How is the availability of ROMs ?

pretty much all your questions can be answered by just browsing the forums
You should know that it is a great device! Use it much more than my phone and computer now.

Check the speakers, screen lifting, and colors.
Some reports have been suggested that their speakers have blown after watching a movie at full blast. Some have issues with the screen being spongy or coming up from the case. Others say the screens aren't calibrated equally so some are warmer and duller then others.
Mine was fine but the colors were warm compared to other devices. Whites looked a little pinkish. We'll see when I get a replacement from where I killed mine.

Looks like I might be canceling my orderdue to the purple glaze effect which the Iphone5 had. As camera is a important aspecr for me.

Update: yup. You guys are right. Its just a phone. And no. I dont take pictures of my food. Lol. I was expecting too much for a 300 dollar device. And no phone is perfect in every way. I do have a dslr, but I wont be carrying that with me 24/7. So sometimes you have to use your phone to freeze that perfect moment.
I was not trying to convince anybody to not get the phone. I was simply trying to get the fact out in case it does bother anyone.
My nexus will be arriving in a few days.
So one image of bright lights means it's a problem huh? Jesus...
Your purchase or lack thereof will be sorely missed.

This thing isn't an issue. I currently have the iPhone 5 on my sprint account and the pictures come out great with rarely any purple haze. To each his own but to not buy a phone because of this slight issue is crazy.

What, not a Jimi Hendrix fan?!
You should at least try it. If you just rely on review every time, you won't but anything. I was afraid that this phone wouldn't be a real upgrade (i had a galaxy nexus). But the hardware is really good and the reactivity of the device is just amazing.
I would consider give it a try, you can always send it back if you want to and get a refund.

I just tries taking a similar picture. I don't get that :/ there's just a little purple bit next to the light on the top. Look at the attachment.

u guys using it wrong
Finding a reason to hate the phone because you couldn't get one? Kinda bitter...
All phone cameras get this AFAIK. It's bright lights that do it. Some do it more than others, but they all do it to some degree.
I don't have that issue...but if it means that much to you, then just go buy a dedicated camera and use it.

Even reflex objective suffer some purple fringing at max aperture in direct sunlight, and some of them cost more than the n4.
I don't even know why people should bother about this, just learn to move when make a photo and don't make direct light photos...
Test
Ok...
Stare at a bright light for 1 min without blinking... do you see a purple haze? Bright lights stress optics this is nothing new use a filter.
I got my one from best buy, last night I noticed that when the screen is on, on the lower left side part of the screen is a little brighter, it's about half inch in diameter, it seems like the screen is being pressed, bc if I press the screen myself a little lower, it goes away and the same thing happens where im currently pressing. The is also a small bright dot right in the middle of the screen, which also is only noticesable with s black background.
And last thing, I don't know if this is normal, but the touch screen is not accurate at all

All of that is normal. They actually made it like this as a selling point.
Jk. Not normal. Take it back. I have none of those issues.

Lol, I'm just wondering if they will exchange it since it's barely noticible if it's bright outside, and only with a black background, like when a YouTube video is loading or the app drawer

Yo
So I just bought my HTC One yesterday, and I've noticed that Gmail and Facebook push notifications does not work despite it being turned on - what could be the cause?
I am still having a hard time deciding if I should turn it in, because the 4 MP camera just might not cut it for me, lack of detail and a bit blurry pictures in my opinion, though the colors are pretty okay in low light. What do you guys think about the camera?
Sent from my HTC One using xda app-developers app
Also, how are ya'lls 4G signal? Mine is not very impressive, and even on 3g or h+ i only get three bars as oppose to full with my nexus 4
Sent from my HTC One using xda app-developers app

I am REALLY on the edge about using my 14 days return policy.
HTC One is a masterpiece, but that camera is hyped too much.
I did a few on the spot tests in a phone store today, and my HTC One had bad color reproduction, was kind of out of focus and in general just grainy and blurry. S4 first then One
It sucks, I really love this phone, but weak 4G signal, a weak camera, push notification problems and not too good battery performance really sucks :/
