I tried to install an apk file from a file hosting site.During the installation my phone got switched off and then rebooted again.. While it was rebooting the screen flickered for some time... Why did this happen and is this a cause for concern?

hello,
a few month ago i bought a galaxy s3 and sold my samsung galaxy ace to a friend with cyanogenmod installed on it. now my friend gave me the ace asking me to remove cyanogenmod because the camera is not working and the battery is empty after just a few hours. so i tried to flash the original 2.3.6 gingerbread using odin. everything ok until i press start, odin stops doing anything at "setup connection". (kies is installed for drivers, but killed in task manager, phone is in download mode etc). i tried this on all of my USB ports and even on my old laptop, with the same outcome.
so what can i do to get cm down and original firmware on the phone? is there a way without odin or a way i can make odin working with this phone? the interesting question is, why it doesnt work now, because i flashed CM ON this phone using my pc and odin and it worked.. now its not working...
plese help me!

Might be some burnt pixels. I haved that before when i used twrp on gboot menu. I uninstalled it and downloaded the latest cwm touch recovery. No problem now, screen is fixed.

Hi guys
my Galaxy Pop Plus rebooting itself random times , i flashed 2 roms also stuck rom but stil rebooting itself
I'm running custom rom Neox Blackstar X1 [port from SGY] + kernel Cyanus v1.7#3
Model : GT-S5570I
Sorry if it wrong forum ,but i didn't find help forum for GT-S5570I
mine used to boot randomly too... I found out I installed a dodgy app... so try deleting the last couple of apps you installed.
For me it helped to turn off overclock but also underclock, so now at going at 604 mhz it doesnt reboot itself
If this persists in every rom including stock I am 99% sure its a problem with your power key that once pressed it remains pressed ...

It's basically hot reboot. You can try underclocking, but I don't think it could help.
Change ROM...

the zip contains ext manager to increase internal memory. my galaxy y works just fine. but my friend isnt very lucky
i search on the internet, they said it is hardbrick
Try to flash stock via odin. See if the phone is detected despite of the black screen.

I have Samsung galaxy tab 8.9
Tried to root and then install CyanogenMod
turned tab off and gets stuck at Samsung galaxy tab 8.9 logo
when plugged in crashes on battery charging logo , computer does not recognise the tablet either.
tried on two different computers so....
tried to factory reset and rebooted still gets stuck
Any help would be appreciated
so confused as to what has happened
Which gt 8.9?
Which CM?
What recovery?
Did you try a hard reboot right after install?
Tried hardreboot and yes gt 8.9
The cm that I used was the one recomend for the 8.9
What can I do next?

There are 3 different 8.9's. 7300, 7310, and 7320.
There are several CM roms. 9, 10, 10.1, 10.2.
What recovery are you using?
7300
10
And clockwork

Try flashing a different rom. Either C-o-m's cm10.1 or any of addem123's stable roms.
Do a full wipe, including a factory reset, wipe dalvik cache, format system partition.
If that doesn't work, I'd suggest flashing a stock rom with odin.
Will try that in the morning
Thanks for the help so far

Also, you should be using either the latest cwm from c-o-m's cm10.1 thread , or twrp from the a1 kernel thread.
