Of course the phone gets hot with this ROM, it's always going to get hot, it's surrounded by metal and is less than 1cm thick ... How would it not get hot?
You can of course install a custom kernel that supports thermal cooling but I rarely use custom kernels.
... For you guys who have questions related to a ROM, search. You're always best searching the ROM thread for people who may have already asked/answered your question, plus you have the best people to answer and see your question in the ROM thread.

I'm also experiencing this. I doubt it's hardware as this is experienced by a large majority of GT-I9100G owners.
Could potentially be software, hopefully it'll be resolved with the ICS update.

In fact i listen to music only with headphones, so, i don't know if the problem is there without them...
In fact, i can live with this problem, but when i listen to music with the native player or with playerpro (with my headphones or in my car), sometimes the music is "jumping", just like when a cd player is lightly chocked ...
Do you know what i mean ?

i faced the same problem too in both stock n superRom. the problem went away after i flashed lucifr kernel. im currently using streetware kernel and so far i havent faced any such problems.
i faced this problem before and still facing it....but when i reset my phone to factory defaults and wipe all my data...i tried listening to music before installing any new apps for hours and the problem is gone...but now after installing apps and put alot of files and music in the phone, the problem came back again...this problem gave me a headache to keep tracking and monitoring what app or why i faced it again....
not on g, but happened too on ics with mine, i go back to miui gb and problem is gone.
i guess is ics, not hardware.
Hi everybody,
i have a i9100g too and i tried many roms (official or not) and i face the same issue.
But i've found that it's happen only with a headset PLUGGED on the jack port.
So i use a bluetooth headset and everything work fine
I also faced the same problem while using the stock rom
But now the problem has gone since i m using superrom 3.1
It happens only when your cpu freq gets low
I used set cpu to set my freq to 1200 MHz
And now dat prob has vanishd

A custom kernel is the solution. Trust me, the music skipping drove me mad when I first got the phone. I still had frequent skips with lucifr 1.6 but changing to codeworkx kernel fixed it. Now using Streetware kernel, no more skips, best kernel so far.

Hi all and special thanks to szezso for this great job!
I've installed this ROM, but there seems to some bugs with wifi & video recording.
note: I used the wifi fixer but it doesn't help me
Is it solvable? How?
One more question: what is the "clean install" & "dirty install" ? what is the difference between them?

Clean Install - Wipe all your data from Recovery, then Install the ROM.
Dirty Flash - Install your ROM without wiping.

Everyone has WiFi and battery drain issues. Just not everyone has deep sleep issue. For the deep sleep issue, you just have to be lucky. I have never run into the problem and I've done the same thing over and over again after flashing Szeszo's ROMs: full wipe, flash ROM, flash GApps, flash supersu.

Well, the one listed in the OP are the one's by BAnks.
The difference between core and standard are listed here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2012857
I would recommend Standard as you get everything. But I don't know if there would be any performance gains from using either one. I'd imagine you just get more system space.

Tnx to guidance..
I've downloaded stable2.1 , TESCO ION 3.5.4 , both standard & core gapps :
- Clean install + TESCO ION 3.5.4 without any gapps => WiFi not woking.
- Clean install without TESCO ION 3.5.4 & any gapps => WiFi is ON defaultly but not working.
- Didn't try to clean install + gapps yet..
So how I can resolve WiFi problem before I go crazy ?!!
I am just wanting to know which ROM doesn't have camera issues, so far I have had problems with CyanogenMod and Carbon. Omni didn't have issues, but I had massive power drain with it.
Am I going to be stuck with a Samsung\Stock based ROM?

Yes seems to be a fix for the i9300 but nothing for the i9305 which is unfortunate. I haven't found a real stable solution at the moment.
Omni was as close at it came, but had Data issues (now resolved) and bad battery drain.

Hello,
I'm new here and I'm looking for a good stable rom for my daily use (fully functional) and most importantly stable , I'm actually tired of how my phone performs on the stock rom, I would like to have fast and smooth performance. Is there anything possible? Help and suggesstions will be highly appreciated.
I'm using the Rogers HTC Raider 4G.
Regards.
No one?
I think the best way to do it is to try each one for a couple of days, while making notes about their pros & cons. One person could tell you that one rom is the best, while another could tell you a different rom is the best. It's all up to you.

This is a developers forum, there are a lot of roms here for one device, I'm not a developer, I'm just an individual looking for one or two. All I'm saying is that, a developer has knowledge and experience, if a developer would care to suggest one or two, I would be out of the scenario of trying each one, because for a daily user like me, it would be a pain. You know what I'm saying, right?

OK...
I hate to do this...
But
CM 11 is nice and stable... But old...
PAC 4.4.4 is stable-ish... Has some bugs... But its in nightlies... So bugs come and go...
Ressurection Remix is really nice and stable... But very old... So you'll have some compatibility issues with things...
Any of the CM 10.2 ROMs are bad battery drainers due to old kernel issues...
Ditto for the CM 10 ROMs...
I hate sense... But any of the sense based ROMs are really stable... If you go with those... Kozmik's kernel is very nice... The senseless sense ROMs are a little messy... But very usable...

I'm restricted to post in the other thread, is Kozmik's kernel compatible with the stock ICS sense 3.6 rom?
And if so, is it possible to flash it via fastboot through pc? Because I'm currently S-on and don't plan to go S-off.
Mentioning again that I have a Roger's HTC Raider.
