[Q] super su - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

lol well being the noob i am i have accidentally uninstalled super su off my phone. I've booted into recovery and tried to re install it but that doesn't seem work so can someone help me out get it back thanks. Also i was wondering if i'm still rooted without super su because I used the root checker app and when i go to verify root access all it says now is (your system appears to be running very slow please wait) and it doesnt do anything.

Superuser can be installed directly from Google Play. I don't see why you need to boot into recovery mode to reinstall it.

Install super su from play store. Root checker is waiting on you to confirm or deny root, and getting no response because you uninstalled super su.

Unlocked bootloader but ROOT doesn't work? Help please!

I really don't know where I went wrong. I recently lost my Nexus 4 and decided to try an HTC One. I've rooted before with my N4 but yet I'm having problems this time.
Unlocked bootloader fine, TWRP installed perfectly fine... Downloaded the SuperUser from AndroidSU.com and installed it through my phones main screen. Then downloaded root checker but it says I'm not rooted... So I wiped my phone, installed the SU via TWRP instead and still the same problem.
Does anyone have any idea what I'm missing? I don't want to fully set up my phone until it's rooted and I pick my new ROM.
Thanks

Boot into twrp, Click "reboot' then click "system" It will then say "swipe to fix root" do that, as soon as the phone boots up, pull down the status bar and click the supersu installer, it will ask you how you want to install it, click the "play" option. after it installs, open up "supersu" if it asks to update the binary, say yes and choose the "normal" install. then you can run root checker and it should say your ooted, remeber to "Grant" when the popup comes up asking you for super user permission....
If your plan is to install a custom Rom anyways, just skip rooting. Most custom roms are rooted already.

Swipe to fix root doesn't show up. Just reboots automatically. Superuser won't even unistall now. Every time I wipe and restart it's still there. I don't understand how it's even there but yet I don't have root access... .
Too the other guy, you're saying I can just skip this bull**** and download CM or any other ROM and it won't mess up my phone for not having proper root?
Recoveries have root access, that's how they can edit /system. If you just flash your Rom like normal it will be rooted, provided that it's a Rom that's already rooted. Which 90% of them are. What you're trying to do now is root the stock Rom, which really doesn't make sense if you're just gonna install a Rom that's already rooted anyway.

Htc One rooted, custom rom,superuser- NO ROOT acces.

Hi everyone!
Thanks to everyone who helped me on the forums!
So, I got my htc rooted correctly ( I did my research). Flashed the TWRP recovery and flashed a custom rom "Revolution HD google edition Android 4.3" installed carbon ( Helium) and titanium backup. Both are not getting root acces ( I have superuser installed). People recommended me installing SuperSU. The binaries could not be installed, then I tried flashing superuser and SuperSU with TWRP still not getting root acces.
Please help me.
Thanks, Matthew

Are you using the SuperSu specific for 4.3? 4.3 changed a lot of things with regard to root. here's the link http://download.chainfire.eu/345/SuperSU/UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.51.zip
I have downloaded this file and tried to flash it and it keeps failing. Does anyone know what to do to fix this issue?

You have to get and flash the specific file Mike has in his thread to get root access. If everything fails, reflash the ROM and immediately flash the specific SuperSu file without booting.

No root access

Hello guys ,
Yesterday i followed the tutorial in the xda channel for s-off and Root for the HTC One.
I installed twrp and after that superuser. To Check my Root i downloaded Root checker from the play Store.
The app says i have no root acccess.
I have the stock HTC One Rom with Sense 5.5 and Android 4.3 installed.
Why i have no root Access ?
Thank u very much and sorry for my Bad english skills.
Did you install SuperUser from TWRP?
Have you launched it to make sure it's running?
Make sure you have superuser Access in the Superuser settings set to apps and adb
Also have you got logging on?
I installed superuser over twrp an I can lunch it.
But i have no access. I dont know how to fix that.
Any one ideas ?
Make sure it's superuser 1.65.

Lost root after latest supersu update

Curious to see if anyone else has lost root after the latest supersu update? Rebooting did not change anything. I'm unable to use any root apps (xposed, root explorer, etc).
Any ideas?
Thx!

You should tell is if you are using a root exploit (and which one), what android version you are on, and whether or not you are BL-Unlocked.
I can tell you that my unlocked devices had no issues updating SuperSU, and root apps still work fine.
(I'm guessing you are locked since your signature says "Status 0")....but please confirm.

Oh, great! So problem solved, or are you seeking a solution to work with the most recent SuperSU?
I would rather use supersu, but so long as super user from click clockworkmod works, its all the sane for me.
Thx for the reply though.
I had to uninstall supersu, install super user, attempt to install it, reboot, make sure have root access via root explorer, install xposed, install adaway, soft reboot.

How to disable KNOX, use Fireflash, update to Lollipop

After a while, I finaly could get root acces to my S5 g900a with base band NG3. Im trying to launch SuperSU and it says me to update binary code or number, something like that. When Is updating it, the app ask me for disable Samsung KNOX. After hitting "OK" it says me that it was impossible to disable.
I think thats why i cant use FlashFire to upgrade to Lollipop with an OTA. Can someone tell me how to do all of this? Thanx

I used titanium backup and uninstalled everything related to Knox without any issues, then I used flash fire to update to the pre rooted 5.0
