My touch screen is zooming in and out in the browser when i try to scroll across the page. It just keeps reacting weird. I am using loccys advanced browser. This is also happening on non browser functions. I can tap and hold on some files in linda manager. All sorts of strange things. Anyone else experience this?

Hii,i have rooted my Nexus One with the latest HTC Desire Rom yesterday.
The phone is working pretty okay since then. But the problem is web browser and Android market is not loading up,everytime i am opening it,it starts to load up but then stops and displays web page not available. But i am able to use gmail, twitter, facebook via widgets only not through browser.
If anyone please help it out.
You could try using a task killer to end the apps/processes and see if that fixes your problem.
Hi all,
I'm running Dolphin HD on both an Advent vega and my beautiful new rooted nookcolor 1.2.
About 30% of the time when loading pages, either from bookmarks or directly through web link, the progress bar stop fr 5-10 seconds before loading a page. This is not a network issue since the same behaviour occurs when loading a page from the sd card.
Btw this doesn't only happen with Dolphin the same thing happens with opera and the stock browser.
I've seen some comments that similar behaviour might be caused by a buggy launcher. I've tried 4 different ones on bith machines but it doesnt help.
Would be grateful for any help and/or to know that the issue is
Is known one.
Thank in advance
Brad
When i disable 'Merge tabs and apps' feature in Google Chrome, I find the animation between changing tabs very janky, and at least twice a day the entire device freezes for a few minutes. Even the power button stops working.
It does this on Android 5.1/LMY47D and LMY47I. Using a clean flash of the factory images, completely stock, unrooted.
Anyone else experiencing the same freezing issues in Google Chrome (even the Chrome Beta version does it) when changing tabs?
No out problems when switching here. I prefer the new style tho

Same here with stock and rooted N6. Highly annoying and I think it's because of Chrome. I tried Chrome beta two months ago and the same thing happened then and now few weeks ago when the actual Chrome updated, problems started with it too. It worked just fine with previous version without that "pulldown to refresh" update.
Only thing that helps is by pressing power button 10 sec and force reboot.
I've found if I press the power button, a minute or two later the screen will turn off. I can then launch the camera, immediately go to Recent Apps and swipe away the frozen Chrome app.
Hopefully there will be a fix soon.
Thanks everyone for your info. At least I know its not an issue with me
Also seeing this with brand new Nexus 6, LMY47M. Very frustrating. But I can't stand "Merged tabs and apps" --- makes it way to hard to find all my tabs!

I found an alternative tab switching method in chrome://flags
Enable Accessibility Tab Switcher.
This removes the animation when switching tabs and presents a basic list of tabs. Not perfect as it can be hard to know which tab is which if you have multiple tabs on the same website.
This is the first time I've seen weird behaviour on Chrome and it started after installing Android 11. When I open Chrome it just closes right away. I need to open it about 10-20 times for it to finally stay open. I tried installing Chrome beta and it works better although sometimes it gives the same issue.
I tried clearing all the data in Chrome but didn't help. Wondering if anyone had this issue or has suggestions to fix.

Since chrome beta is a stand alone app and can be run beside chrome, it seems you have some kind of hard configuration error or corruption. I'm guessing you have already uninstalled/reinstalled the app. If you are unlocked I would try a dirty flash using the full image (not OTA). Next I would backup everything and wipe the phone, installing 11 fresh. Sometimes stuff happens and you just have to reinstall. Not a bad idea going from 10-11. In addition to chrome beta, I use Firefox beta because it supports extensions (eg. uBlock). If the thought of wiping your phone is too much work for this single issue, it may be time to try another browser. Best of luck and let us know how you get it resolved.
Turns out it was app list mode on edxposed that was causing the issue. After disabling it, it works normally again!
