My HTC One 's on Stock Odex 2.24.401.1 and rooted. Can i install custom kernel and other mods? What issues could happen?
You can flash kernels but no mods. You'll get crashes or bootloops.

Yes. Any and every mod that is compatible with your device and/or firmware, or aby universal mod.
I'd never recommend being odex at all. The marginal performance difference is highly negligible.

you can install the Xposed framework, which lets you mod some stuff

So this is fugutweaks pulled from Samsung ROMs.
It really gives you a smoother scrolling experience on AOSP ROMs.
It replaces your app_process and system_server binaries
Samsung has optimized those two files thus giving a better experience than stock android ones.
Sorry guys. I know some of you feel that this is just placebo. I realized that the files are same with S2's and Note's files.
I don't know about it initially as I used AOSP ROM that time and I didn't tried it on samsung ROM.
So, now the thread is renamed.

Will get bootloop if your ROM is GB.

Stock CWM Packages for Nexus 4
I have created some stock ROMs and recoveries that are flashable through Clockworkmod or TWRP. These are taken straight from the Google factory image releases and packaged to be flashed. It can be useful if you want to go back to stock, but you don't have access to a computer at the moment for fastboot. Also, devs feel free to use this as your ROM base. Enjoy
Please note that I don't have my Nexus 4 yet, so please report any issues you may have and I will fix them immediately. Thanks.

Just Google it. I'm sorry, but you are probably not going to get a full answer for all this on XDA, and the more short answers you get the more questions you'll have. Do the research before you root your phone, it will prevent headaches, for you and everyone else.
Thank you so much for the stock recovery and stock ROM, this is exactly what I was looking for.
I am just curious, each time there is an update to the OS via Google, do you also plan on making a flashable zip version of the update as well. For example when 4.2.1 is released? Peace.

I really don't know, because I don't have a nexus 4. But I've read that you can just download the ota and sideload it through cwm.

Can I just replace the recovery image from 4.2.1 in the zip file to have the latest stock recovery?

Well, the question says it. The reason why is because my ace is incompatible with flashing kernels. Meaning, I'll get major battery drain issues no matter what kernel I flash after installing a rom. The only kernel I can use is the one that comes with the rom. I tried opening up the KTS zip and couldn't find the kernel. I want to add the battery extender one. I've seen some different tutorials but I wanted to hear everything from someone who's done it on the Ace specifically.
Can someone tell me how to do it? Thanks in advance.
boot.img is the kernel.
In some roms its, zimage.

Thanks, found it. What do I have to do to zip it back up? Make it a .zip with the same name as the KTS file?
Since I get my nexus 4 I thought someone will create a mod to wake up screen with volume controls.
I am really surprised no one have made it till now. I have no idea about android development, but im beggining to think this is not easy to do
Lot if us are in stock rom because it is really nice and really miss this mod... anyone can help us?

Whats the point in staying stock if you're going to have to flash a custom stock dedodexed rom. It's like you're contradicting yourself, you want stock but you're not really stock if you use a dedodexed rom.

The only I miss in stock is volume wake, cause I flashed already a mod to make smaller the navigation bar
I dont need anything more
tbh my idea is not needing to move from stock rom. I was in xylon rom till last night and i had problems with GPS, that is why I came back to stock
Use Touch Control, then you won't have to use any buttons to wake or turn off you're phone!

When we flash kernels, is there a particular order we need to do it in. For example do I flash the rom, then flash the kernel? Or can we simply flash different kernels without reflashing roms? Also, do kernels have to be flashed by fastboot or can it be done through recovery?
Sorry if these have been answered elsewhere.
You can flash a kernel on top of a Rom without reflashing. If you install a new Rom you'll have to reflash the kernel you want as roms flash their own kernels. Most kernels you can flash through recovery
