I can't seem to find this feature on my Moto X. I have the MLB app, and in a previous life I used to use mock locations on other phones to surpass the blackout restrictions. Yes yes.... naughty naughty, but now I live in the LA area, and want to watch my team that will never hit me as a blackout result.
The problem is, I get the error message that I used to get when I had mock locations enabled on my previous devices. I wanted to check this to see if this was the problem so I can disable it, but I can't find it anywhere in the settings menus.
Now I'm more curious as to what happened to it...
Any help would be much appreciated!

If you mean you can't find the option to enable mock locations, it's in developer options on the settings screen. As of Android 4.2, you must go into "about phone" and tap the build number 5 times to enable developer options.

I am sure I am missing the obvious. Came from a Samsung phone. I'm trying to find the location of "Settings>about" to see my software version. I touch the little wheel "settings". But from there there is no "about" to touch.
TIA
The very last option at the bottom??
That's where I thought it would be... It's not there I simply cannot find the "about" in settings.

Looking forward to tomorrow's
enabled developer options and long pressed the gear thing in notifications shade. no go. is it somewhere else? can't find it...
Just activated UI tuner myself. Have debugging on and keep trying to touch and hold the gear. It took me about for tries. It let me know that System UI Tuner was enabled.
nope not working. this is driving me insane. zero issues enabling in the dev previews...

Did you upgrade from a previous build, in which you had already enabled dev options? Maybe try disabling developer options and re-enabling developer options, then try the gear again? Android Wear companion app, for instance, has been known to require disabling-and-reenabling developer options before the app will reveal its own internal developer options (e.g., take wearable screenshot).
so...i got it working. had to disable developer options, do the gear long press thing, then re-enable developer options. what a pita that was. thanks DA6030 for the suggestion, which worked!
btw this was with a clean install of the factory image, not an upgrade. i was under the impression that you had to enable dev options first, which apparently is not the case
Its still there, same way to activate it.

eh not quite. see post #5. process is the same but if you enable dev options first it doesnt work. at least it didnt for me
I have a H872 running on 11G. I am not able to enable developer options.
I've done the whole going into "About Phone" and tapping on build, no go.
I've rebooted and that didn't work.
A hard reset didn't work.
Trying in safe mode didn't work.
I've tried a fresh install via the 11G kdz and that didn't work.
I tried QuickShortcutMaker to try to get there and that didn't work.
I tried Nova Launcher's shortcuts option (suggested by someone a couple of years ago, in a post on the G5) and that didn't work.
I've run into a wall at this point and would welcome * any * suggestions.
Thanks in advance.

Hmm, you're sure you tapped the "Build Number" in "Software info" in "About phone" a total of 7 times? Usually I'll just spam it to be safe until it shows that Developer Settings has been enabled as a toast. Developer Options should also just be in the "General" tab in settings about "About Phone".
@FrumpyElk you can try this:
*#546368#*872# in the dialer app. a "hidden menu" comes up and you can turn on usb debugging (SVC/LDB)
hope that helps!
No luck guys. The USB Debugging option is grayed out (when I go through the dialer). I can't even get to the About Phone screen anymore. I only see two things in the phone's settings - Wifi and Tethering. Nothing else. I can't even shortcut to it.
for some reason i had this too.. i couldnt select the usb debugging option it was greyed out. so i was trying a whole slew of things then i found myself back at the svc menu enabling port diag so i could mess with some boxes (i was murdering frp) and i thought "why not" and click on LDB and holy cow it wasnt greyed out. can not re-create dont want to but i think it was the port diag thing maybe by turning that on i could also then turn on the ldb thing? i dunno but i broke the hardest frp yet so im smiling.
I am facing similar issue. Cannot enable USB debugging or OEM Unlock for life of me.
Tried so many tutorials on youtube.
Even dialing *#546368#*872# in the dialer app. "A "hidden menu" comes up and you can turn on usb debugging (SVC/LDB)" . That menu is also disabled for me !
I am doing this in order to bypass FRP, I'm officially stuck.
Any insights or thoughts ?
I have this problem that when I want to activate an accessibility service, I get a pop up message that says if there is an overlapping app blocking the options I should drag it away or close the app, as in the screenshot attached. I have no idea what is causing this but I have not been able to activate any accessibility services since upgrading to MIUI version 10.2. The device is rooted with magisk. Any help will be appreciated to get this sorted out. I get the Pop-Up each time I tap ok.

Turn off full screen gestures, this is blocking the Accessibility settings.
After you have enabled the Accessibility stuff, I believe you can turn on full screen gestures again.

You're welcome.
Actually I had the same problem in Februari on my Mi Note 2 (I have a Mix1 also, they are very closely related as to firmware).
After trying everything I could think of, and nothing helped, I sat back and thought "what else draws over other apps"?
Bingo! Gestures.
And it worked.
Can't get Notifybuddy to work on my Mi9T Pro. Also, when I check for 'running services' under my dev options, the option simply isn't there. I'm on global Miui 11 (android 10).
Could anyone guide me to where the option 'running services' is? They must have moved it, or made it disappear on this version of the OS.
This app would be fantastic for us mi9T users, since the built in LED is an invisible joke....
I've also tested 'Always on edge', which was impossible to get to work too.
Any other similar app worth recommending, in your opinion?
If I had realized the devs at Xiaomi don't understand the necessity of a working notification LED, I'd NEVER purchased a Xiaomi phone! Mobile phones have had working (visible) notification LED for decades. Xiaomi destroys it....
All of those apps should work (and are working on my phone). Did you gave them all needed permissions (autostart, no battery saver restrictions, permission to show on lockscreen, allow fullscreen etc?)
You can try changing rom. I use Xiaomi.eu rom and notification apps are working fine even with fingerprint unlock.
Firstly, thx for taking time trying to help!
Yes, I believe all crucial settings are correct now, and I even got the missed call notification to appear. But only once. Since then, the app is all dead. The only setting I haven't been able to check, is the "running services" option (that the dev talks about in the original thread). Because the option simply isn't there, on my phone! It's supposed to be present under "developer settings" but I just can't spot it. I'd be grateful if anyone could verify the "running services" is gone, or where it's been moved to. Any help is much appreciated...
I think that running services are shown in manage apps. Blue circle mean that the service is running (i may be wrong about this)

Thank you, there it is. They have moved it from "dev settings".
Anyway, nothing seems to do the trick. I've tested just about
everything, to no avail. Time to give up. This app is obviously
not compatible with my phone. And neither is "alw'on edge".
Thanx for your efforts...
