config.dat ran to change radio, since not s=off failed.
need to flash recovery to stock recovery/ current recovery could brick phone whjen flashing stock RUU .IMG ROM
Not positive that i have the recovery that makes brick sandwich, becasue there is a old recovery that does not allow certain system files to fetch the files needed to install RUU.
Need to verify recovery/flash stock RUU rom
if recovery is not verified / flash stock recovery i Have TeamWin 2.4.4.0 TWRP
proceed to write radio

3. Reboot phone.
4. Settings->Applications->Development->Check USB Debugging

9. AlphaRevX should start doing its thing and I got S-OFF at my first attempt in under 90 seconds
10. If it takes longer, just wait for the 15 minutes mark, if nothing, then reboot phone and retry. Some members got S-OFF after multiple tries

If AlphaRevX isn't working for you (kept "hanging" at Step 2 i.e. attempting to get root). This was because AlphaRevX doesn't work with certain carrier variants are GingerBreak patched
It didn't work for me on the India/Asia version.
To check your software version, go to settings > about > software version > build version. If it says 2.12.720.5, I'm sorry but you'll have to do the Optus/Virgin AU ROM installation.
Here are the steps to do that:
1) Download the Optus ROM (261 MB)
2) create a gold card
3) run the ROM installer and wait for it to extract, go to your tmp folder (start > run > %tmp% > sort by date > see newest folder > dig in deep and find rom.zip)
4) take rom.zip and put it on your SD with the name PG32IMG.zip
5) Reboot your phone into boot loader (this can be done by switching your phone off, waiting 5 seconds, turning your phone on with the volume down pressed). It will see that you have PG35IMG.zip so it will verify and install it. It will come to the boot loader again and once it's done installing it will load the OS (the regular HTC white page followed by Optus' logo. Once you're in the OS, remove PG32IMG.zip
Special thanks to Cardii :
Permanent Root using Gingerbreak v1.2. Just follow these steps.
1. Download Astro File Manager (Free or Paid)
2. Download Gingerbreak v1.2 from the Gingerbreak thread on XDA (Google it)
3. Place Gingerbreak.apk on your SD Card (no format required)
4. Run Astro File Manager and install Gingerbreak
5. Reboot phone
6. Open Gingerbreak and click Root Device
7. Takes a few mins to root, phone should automatically boot and if you find Superuser installed then you have permanent root. In some cases you might have not have an automatic reboot, in that case you'll get a message along these lines 'Reboot has failed, please reboot manually and check if Superuser has been installed'. If the process is hanging at the 'Rooting Device' for longer than 10 mins, just reboot the phone and try again.
8. You should have root.
if its not rooting by this method try another sd card manually format it and den give it a try .. it should work
for gingerbreak v1.2 refer to this thread : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1044765

what?
all the info is right there. what exactly are you trying to do? i mean, that thread has literally tons of information in it....and without you specifying what EXACTLY you are trying to do, nobody can help you.
Have you tried relocking your bootloader and then running the RUU.
Are you able to get into fastboot?
Like PG said.....we need more to go on?
Sent from my HTC PH39100 using xda premium
I read the instructions and apparently i messed up somewhere. I can get in fast boot.
When i turn my phone on i see the white HTC logo shuts off and see the HTC logo again.
Also when i go in to hboot and go to recover i get a HTC logo and a quick blink of the next screen and then it goes into a boot loop again.
Try putting in hboot....then select fastboot.
Relock the bootloader "fastboot oem lock"
Download and run RUU.

i read to not do a OEM lock unless im sure i have the correct software on my device? how can i make sure?

and WHERE does it say that?
6) (Optional) Return to stock (locked bootloader, unrooted, etc) (Many thanks to Pirateghost)
- First, you are going to need to re-lock your bootloader.
- Boot into H-Boot by powering off. Once off, power back on and hold VOL DOWN + POWER BUTTON, once in HBOOT go to "fastboot" and click the power button to select
- Download the adbfastbootrecovery zip from the bottom of the post and EXTRACT it to your desktop
- Go to your computer file explorer and find your desktop "folder", hold SHIFT and RIGHT CLICK, select open a command window here
- Run this code in the command prompt
Code:
fastboot oem lock
- Now reboot
- Now, we will flash you back to the original stock ROM you were on. There are two options for this, the second does NOT need a windows device.
FIRST OPTION (RUU)
- Pick the RUU for your specific device. For example, the one for AT&T has the word "Cingular" in it, the one for Rogers says "Rogers" in it.
- You will find the RUU's here http://www.filefactory.com/f/002b74e0f4775869/ (THANKS to user football)
- Once you download the correct RUU, make sure your phone is plugged in via USB to your computer and you have the correct drivers (or just HTC Sync) installed on your computer
- Run the executable and follow the steps to flash the stock ROM
- Once the ROM loads, you should be good to go
- If you returned to stock because of a bug or issue, and want to root again, make sure to go back and follow the steps PRECISELY to perm root, flash CWM, flash a ROM, flash a kernel, etc. Remember, flash ROM IMMEDIATELY after flashing the kernel
OR
SECOND OPTION (PH39IMG.zip flash)
- Put this file for AT&T or this file for Rogers on a microSD card as is (it should be named PH39IMG.zip)
- Power down the phone, insert microSD and boot back into bootloader (power button + vol down)
- It should automatically find the zip file and flash the stock image (this includes recovery, system, everything stock.)
- If you returned to stock because of a bug or issue, and want to root again, make sure to go back and follow the steps PRECISELY to perm root, flash CWM, flash a ROM, flash a kernel, etc. Remember, flash ROM IMMEDIATELY after flashing the kernel

If you need to flash zips via recovery, you will need a custom recovery (for example, clockworkmod a.k.a CWM recovery.) If your bootloader is unlocked, you can use Hasoon2000's Vivid Toolkit to flash one. ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1498003 ). It can flash CWM custom recovery quickly via fastboot. (I believe your bootloader will need to be unlocked before doing this.)
Then when you go into recovery, you will be able to flash the VIVID_CWM_ROOT_VER2_zip. Hopefully that will get you rooted so you can continue the S-OFF process.

I just unlocked the phone using the HTCdev instructions. So the phone said unlocked S-ON
But I was still stuck trying to get it to be S-OFF. I tried using the windows control bear release and got the error above . . .device has not root.
I decided to try the "root-sensation-zip" file at this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1661631
It worked perfectly. I unzipped it in windows, plugged in the phone into usb with phone being on home screen. Clicked the "root" file on my laptop and it started working. It restarted my phone and asked to hit enter, it did it 3 times. After 3rd time, the phone is not booted. I was able to install titanium backup and superuser apps and they worked and said super user is on. However, when I restarted the phone it still said S-ON. I guess I could have left the things the way they were but I didn't . . .I wanted S-OFF.
So I decided to run the control bear program again, this time it worked as the phone now had root access. All I had to do is continue the instructions and do the wire trick. After doing the wire trick (i used a paper clip and put electrical tape where I was holding the two sides, so my fingers wouldn;t touch the paper clip) everything worked (after like 15-20 tries, lol - I almost gave up). Also I accidentally unplugged the usb cord because when the program said to do the wires I noticed I didn;t take the back cover off. So I had to turn off the program and unplug. Oh well, everything worked.
See pictures of the wire trick below

I miss my Vivid (Raider)
I remember when going through the superguide and all the helpful threads, I wrote down each thing step-by-step for my own reference. This was some time ago, but hopefully it will help some of you that are having trouble. This lump of information is mainly for the Canadian HTC Vivid (known as Raider) and starts from right out-of-the-box.
SECTION 1: STARTING FRESH WITH STOCK ICS RUU
To start, install the stock Bell ICS RUU (Or Rogers). If you've already been messing with your phone, you should know that in order to flash any stock RUU, your bootloader must be locked/relocked! Else it will refuse to flash.
(I used RUU_HOLIDAY_ICS_35_S_BM_3.38.666.2_Radio_3.04.4740.11_34.29.701040.22_release_255916_signed.exe) Note that you can't flash a Bell RUU to a Rogers phone (and vice-versa) - if you want to, you will need to change your CID to the SuperCID for that (and I'm not sure if that requires simply the bootloader unlock or bootloader + s-off).
**You should use this opportunity to make sure you have the appropriate drivers installed on your computer so it can communicate with your phone via Fastboot, ADB, etc.!
Filename: HTCDriver3.0.0.007.exe
SECTION 2: UNLOCK THE BOOTLOADER
Next, unlock your bootloader.
-Sign up at htcdev.com
-Log in (make sure youre logged in!)
-Click Unlock bootloader
-Follow Instructions
SECTION 3: S-OFF!
Note that S-OFF stays (i.e. if you install a stock RUU rom to your phone, it won't turn S-ON), so you only have to do this procedure once!
1) Since your bootloader is unlocked, you are almost ready to S-OFF
2) Download the WCXJB ROOT PACK.zip to your hard drive and UNZIP it (to, say, C:\temp\SOFF)
3) On your phone, make sure in your settings, USB Debugging is ENABLED in development
4) Turn off your phone, pull battery, put battery back.
5) Turn it back on by holding VOLUMEDOWN + POWER
6) Use the volume rocker and power button to select fastboot
7) Connect your phone to your PC
8) Open a command prompt window.
Commands:
C:
cd \temp\SOFF
fastboot flash recovery wcxrecovery.img
9) Now you can reboot your phone
10) Download and put Vivid_CWM_Root_VER2.zip file on root of internal sdcard (aka NOT in any folders)
11) Boot into H-Boot like you did before (turn off phone, turn back on holding power + vol down), and use the volume rockers to go to "recovery" and press the power button to select it
12) Select "install zip from sdcard"
13) Select the VIVID_CWM_ROOT_VER2.zip to flash it. Then select "reboot"
14) You are now perma-rooted in preparation of the S-OFF procedure.
15) Turn off phone. Remove the SIM Card, the MicroSD card and the battery.
*-You will need a spare, formatted MicroSD card inserted. Do not use your regular MicroSD card because it may become corrupted/wiped during the S-OFF process!
*-Make sure your battery is fully charged!
*-You will also need a short length of insulated wire, so you can connect the 2 points during the S-OFF procedure.
*-Beside the MicroSD slot, is a small screw holding in a square panel.
The screw is covered by a VOID sticker. Removing this will void your warranty!
Put the screw and square panel somewhere safe.
Look at the JPG (vivid---wire-trick-location.jpg) - this is available in this thread above, I believe (thank you vova953).
The point indicated is what you need to ground (to the GND) point
You will of course do this with your short length of insulated wire!
Be sure the exposed part of the wire isnt so thick that it will touch other points!
The point is kind of small! The ground point is pretty big and easy to hit.
16) Put battery back in, and the SPARE MICROSD - not your usual MicroSD. Keep that safe.
17) Boot phone normally. Make sure (again) USB debugging is enabled in Developer options of the Settings!
18) Download CONTROLBEAR from Juopunutbear at http://unlimited.io
Since you are on official ICS, you want the ICS version for the HTC Vivid.
I belive the filename is ControlBearRelease_holiday_ICS_WIN.zip
***crap - I just noticed upon visiting the site that they dropped all Windows support! Too bad for us... I have the file still if anyone needs it.
19) Unzip the CONTROLBEAR zip to an easy to access path (like C:\temp\SOFF2)
20) Run controlbear as admin(windows) or root or using sudo on linux
Now get your insulated wire and get ready! Only connect the 2 points when instructed.
You will have to watch and wait for it to tell you.
Do not press any of the buttons on the phone during the process.
When you are instructed to do the wire trick, briefly connect
the point and the GND point using the wire, then wait approximately 1.75
seconds and then again connect the 2 contacts together.
Allow the program to continue.
Note: it may take several attempts of running the program in order to obtain the correct timing for the wire trick.
After doing the “wire-trick” your phone will reboot.
If you see the following message from ControlBear after doing the wire trick:
ErrorMsg: Still sober.
This means that you have been unsuccessful in implementing the wire-trick. Run ControlBear again.
The usual cause for this is that you failed to perform 2 clean contacts
or mis-timed the wire trick (or you didnt flash the perm root before
starting - but that was indicated above, so you probably have done that.)
Your phone will reboot several times during the process, this is normal. ControlBear will tell you when it has finished whether successfully or not.
Once your phone is rebooted and back to normal, you can shut it off, pull the battery, put the square panel and screw back, and put your regular MicroSD back (as well as your SIM card).
SECTION 4: FLASHING CLOCKWORKMOD RECOVERY
(Optional but recommended! It's a great Recovery
Note that if you want to install WCX's rom, you will need to have WCX's recovery to flash it!
So don't use Clockworkmod at all if you plan on flashing WCX's roms.)
1) Put your phone into bootloader mode by turning it on with VOLDOWN+POWER.
(You will have to pull the battery to make sure the phone is fully off before doing this)
2) In the bootloader use the volume buttons to choose Fastboot
and hit POWER to select it.
3) Download Clockworkmod recovery (filename: CWM-beta2.img) and put it in an easy path
(like C:\temp\cwmrecovery)
4) Copy the adb and fastboot package to this same folder (c:\temp\cwmrecovery)
5) Go to command prompt and:
C:
cd\temp\cwmrecovery
fastboot flash recovery CWM-beta2.img
6) Clockworkmod recovery will be flashed. You can get to it by booting your phone into
bootloader mode, then choosing Recovery
SECTION 5: INSTALLING CUSTOM ROMS
If you S-OFF'd successfully, custom roms will install fully (kernel and everything) so you will not have to flash the kernel separately.
If you don't want to S-OFF (or were unsuccessful with S-OFF and simply can't do it), it is important to understand that when you install a custom rom, the kernel for that rom (or whatever compatible kernel) needs to be flashed separately before or after the rom is flashed!! This will be addressed in the steps below.
1) Download the ROM you want (any ICS-based custom rom) and copy its .ZIP file to your MicroSD card
2) Get into Recovery mode (by booting phone into bootloader mode and choosing Recovery)
3) MAKE A NANDROID BACKUP OF YOUR CURRENT ROM - VERY IMPORTANT.
Just use the volume keys to go to Backup and choose it by hitting POWER.
This will help you get back to normal if the rom you install doesnt work
or if you just dont like the rom you have installed.
Make sure your MicroSD card has lots of space
The backup takes under 1 gig but you'll want more space for more backups/roms later.
4) Now that the backup is done: In Clockworkmod recovery, go back to the main menu.
5) WIPES - Now we should do the 4 wipes. Choose Wipe Data, Wipe Cache, then go into Advanced, and choose Wipe Dalvik cache, then go into Mounts and Storage and choose Format /system.
6) Now from the main menu of clockworkmod, you can choose "install .zip from sdcard"
7) Choose the zip of the rom you wish to install (remember you copied it to your MicroSD card
in step 1 so it should be listed.). When the install is finished, it may offer to reboot
your phone. S-OFF users can go ahead. If you didn't S-OFF, you should probably pull the battery after choosing reboot.
8) IF YOU ARE S-OFF, YOU ARE DONE - IF YOU DIDNT S-OFF YOUR PHONE, YOU MUST CONTINUE SO YOU CAN FLASH THE APPROPRIATE KERNEL FOR THE ROM!
9) Get phone into bootloader mode by holding VOLDOWN+POWER. Choose FASTBOOT.
10) On your PC, open the ZIP that has the ROM you just installed. In the zip
will be a file called "boot.img".
***NOTE that some roms have multiple kernels to offer during the install process.
***Try to identify which boot.img is the kernel you want. I believe that any of them should work, as they were all built for that ROM specifically. But I'm not certain...
11) Copy the boot.img to an easy path (like C:\temp\whateverromkernel)
Copy your ADB/Fastboot package to that folder as well so you can run everything from there.
12) In command prompt:
C:
CD\temp\whateverromkernel
fastboot flash boot boot.img
13) The kernel will be flashed. Once it's done, you can restart the phone, and boot into the ROM!
**NOTE** if you're ever having trouble (whether s-on or s-off) flashing kernels (i.e. its saying its not allowed or something), your phone may have to experience the flashing of an 'insecure' kernel. kozmikkick's "stockish" kernel is an insecure boot.img that, once flashed, will allow you to flash whatever kernel's you want (you only have to flash the insecure boot.img once and then you'll be good)

[Q] HTC One M7 - Developers Edition - Boot Loop HELP!!!!

Hello,
I am a newbie to the forum. I posses only limited knowledge.
I use a HTC one M7 developers editions. I dropped my phone and since then it had gone in a boot loop and I am not able to get through out of the home screen. It just keeps rebooting.

HBOOT - 1.57.0000

I tried to flash the RUU with the help of one of the threads here using an .exe file. As my phone was s-on, I was not able to use the zip. But it kept giving me a error 155. I then tried to have the s-off with FIREWATER to have an earlier RUU like 4.3 installed but I couldn't turn on the USB debugging from the inside of the phone.
I am not sure of what to do now. Any sort of help would be great.
Thanks a lot

that ruu can not be flashed on your phone, because it require s-off.
I think you probably have hardware damage since your phone started bootlooping after you have dropped it. however you could try to restore the 6.07.1540.1 nandroid backup posted in the dev edition update thread in the general section and see if your phone can boot normaly

There is no RUU for your version, the RUU you tried to run was a lower version and you can not run a lower version with being S-ON. If you have TWRP installed you can try to flash a nandroid 6.07.1540.1.

If you can not get USB Debugging enabled, there is not much you can do except send the phone in for repair.

Let try these steps:
1. If you don't have fastboot and adb installed then use Minimal ADB & Fastboot TooL to install them. We will not be able to use the ADB commands but we will be able to use the fastboot commands.
2. Download and place in your adb and fastboot folder TWRP 2.7.1.2 and firmware 6.07.1540.1 (the unmodified one) rename to firmware.zip
3, We need to boot the phone into bootloader. Completely power off your phone. Once the phone is off, press and hold the Power Button + Vol Down the phone will boot into the bootloader. Using the Vol Buttons will move the selection up and down. Highlight or select FASTBOOT, then press the Pwr button to select. Once selected, you should see FASTBOOT where it previously said HBOOT.
4. Connect your phone to the computer, it should say FASTBOOT USB.
5. In the command window type the following commands:
Code:
[B][I][COLOR="Blue"]fastboot devices[/COLOR][/I][/B]
Note: Should see your "serial number device" Copy down your serial number
Code:
[B][I][COLOR="Blue"]fastboot oem rebootRUU[/COLOR][/I][/B]
Note: You should see a silver HTC logo come up on your phone after executing this command.
Note: if this command freezes, just disconnect the USB cable and hold the power and volume down buttons until the device reboots. Then, repeat the steps above again.
Code:
[I][B][COLOR="Blue"]fastboot flash zip firmware.zip[/COLOR][/B][/I]
Note: This will fail, message to say "please flush image again immediately" Just run the command again!
Code:
[B][I][COLOR="Blue"]fastboot flash zip firmware.zip[/COLOR][/I][/B]
Note: The green bar on the phone may not go to 100% of the bar ... but If you see completed on your computer command window, wait for a few seconds and move on.
Code:
[B][I][COLOR="Blue"]fastboot reboot[/COLOR][/I][/B]
Note: Your phone should boot up normally
If it doesn't or you just want to put the nandroid on your phone here is how it is done:
Unzip the nandroid and it will make its own folders on your PC. Since you don't have TWRP installed on your phone you will need to make some folders. Connect your phone to your PC, once it is connected open the Internal Storage folder. Here make a new folder called TWRP. Open that folder make a folder called BACKUPS. Open that folder and make a new folder the name will be your serial number that you copied earlier. Now copy the entire folder the nandroid made earlier to this folder.
Now boot into the bootloader like you did earlier.
Code:
[B][I][COLOR="Blue"]fastboot flash recovery twrp-2.7.1.2-m7.img[/COLOR][/I][/B]
Code:
[B][I][COLOR="Blue"]fastboot erase cache[/COLOR][/I][/B]
Code:
[B][I][COLOR="Blue"]fastboot reboot-bootloader[/COLOR][/I][/B]
Once back in the bootloader, select bootloader and on the next screen select Recovery. When TWRP boots up you will have a number of tiles Backup is one and Restore is another. For sanity sake, I would backup the present system before I restored the nandroid. When you select Restore you should see two if you made a backup the one with the name of the file folder you moved is the nandroid backup. Select it and once it is complete select reboot system and you are done.

[SOLVED]Any hope?

So i was trying to get my at&t htc one back to 100% stock so i could send it in for warranty. I got my replacement htc one, but while in the process of going back to stock something happened the phone wont load into recovery, when it boots into the os it stays at the htc screen but plays the at&t boot animation sound, and to top it off the old phone wont connect properly through usb (the new one will just fine). So i am stuck in bootloader anyone have any ideas?

I don't know what you mean by I pushed the FUU and flashed it. do you mean you flashed firmware?
If you flashed a custom hboot with no red text you will brick the phone when you lock the bootloader.
Don't lock bootloader !!
Use this tool to remove Tampered and set to Locked
Guru_Bootloader_Reset_1.0.zip
http://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23501681358538585
MD5: fdb8264a8f4741bae22939cd7734f7c2
at this point just flash the AT&T RUU
http://dl3.htc.com/application/RUU_...13_10.38j.1157.04_release_334235_signed_2.exe
and see where your at.
From the Guide you linked
Before you can proceed with the 2 following threads for removing Tampered and then Locking you need to have Superuser installed. There are links to how to do this in each thread. You can also use this toolkit. Just remember to delete the SuperUser and busybox apk if installed before you return the phone.
2. - First remove the Tampered Flag. Instructions are in this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2477792
3. - Second Lock the bootloader. Instructions are in this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2475914
The older REVONE commands/instructions for Tampered and Locking:
Now since you had to install SuperUser to perform the previous 2 steps make sure you unroot by deleting the Superuser.apk and busybox.apk (If installed) from the /system/app folder and also the su binary from /system/xbin on your phone.
If you ran a RUU your systems firmware and software is all reset back to stock. If you restored via Stock ROM reset or Nandroid you should be running the stock software but it could be on non stock (version mismatch) firmware.
In either case your bootloader should display Locked and no Tampered just like out of the box. Now all that’s left is to S-On. To do that issue this fastboot command:
Code:
fastboot oem writesecureflag 3
Done - device should be just like it was out of the box with no indication of any modding.
*******I am not responsible for any problems you encounter. I am simply informing you of what is needed to complete a restoration to Stock. Read all steps and commands carefully and perform them in the correct order.********

are they both windows 8 computers ?
Windows 8.1 and hboot 1.44 don't get along
you'll have to use a driver hack to get it working
Both windows 8.1 like i said the weird part is one phone works perfect through usb the old one (the one i need to work) doesn't

yeah .. here's the driver hack to make it work
Download
I repeat this is a REALLY DIRTY solution that may harm your system, personal data, hardware and/or cat.
Here are the steps:
0. Have a Linux or Windows LiveCD just in case something goes wrong
1. Download and extract files from attachment
2. Navigate to the folder corresponding to your system version (x86 = 32-bit, x64 = 64 bit)
3. Right-click franken-usb.bat and click "Run as Administrator"
5. Wait for it to finish and reboot the system. If everything went fine, you will boot your system successfully
6. Install ADB/Fastboot drivers just like on Windows 8
7. Connect your phone in Fastboot mode to your USB 2.0 port and check if it works
8. Enjoy and wait for official fix
How does it work:
It's not any kind of magic - it just replaces Windows 8.1's usbhub.sys and usbport.sys with Windows 8's ones.
Old files don't check for BOS descriptor so Fastboot can work.
Script updated - it should now actually copy the files but please double check if files were copied to C:\Windows\system32\Drivers!
Hope it helps you!
Regards!

It Works I been using it for over a year
Ok thank you very much i will try this when i get home from work tomorrow and hopefully its works for me then i can just follow the guide you posted to get back to stock then all will be good
im still getting the same issue with the drivers i made sure to manually install the files but still no luck.
Have you tried a Linux live boot disc? If you have troubles with Windows drivers, always fall back to Linux as it will always work if the device isn't faulty.

From HTC ..ignore the t-mobile
Manual system update instructions:
If you are outside of T-Mobile/Wi-Fi coverage, or the update is not found, you may perform a manual system update. This process requires that you download and install HTC Sync Manager first in order to get the proper drivers. If you do not have HTC Sync Manager installed already, you may download the software from http://www.htc.com/www/software/htc-sync-manager/.
WARNING: Performing the system update manually will delete all information from the device. Ensure all information is backed up before proceeding. See the Help & How To section of this website for more information on backing up your device contents.
Performing the ROM Update:
1. Download and save the HTC One™ for T-Mobile ROM update to your PC.
2. Connect your device to your PC via the supplied USB cable.
3. If the device is not recognized by the PC, ensure you have HTC Sync Manager installed and then disconnect and reconnect the device from the USB cable.
4. Once the device is properly recognized on the PC, locate the HTC One™ for T-Mobile ROM Update that you downloaded. Double-click on the file to launch the system update wizard.
5. Follow all of the system update wizard instructions shown on your PC.
6. Once the update is complete, click Finish in the Wizard and the device will reboot.
7. Once the device reboots, the initial setup wizard will appear.
8. Once the initial setup process is complete, the device is ready for use.
Note: If the ROM update wizard fails to recognize the device, close the wizard and then follow the steps below:
· From a powered off state, hold VOLUME DOWN while powering on the device.
· Use the volume buttons to scroll to FASTBOOT and then press the POWER button to select it.
· Connect the device to the PC while in this state and attempt the ROM update again.
To exit FASTBOOT manually, use the volume keys to navigate to REBOOT and press the POWER button to select it.
