BOOTSOUNDS FOR S5830i
There are many Bootanimations for our device, but no Bootsounds. So, why not making Bootsounds? Maybe your Custom ROM has a nice Bootanimation but a bad Bootsound. So, you can use the Bootsounds in this thread.
Currently availible bootsounds:
Windows 98
Windows ME.
Windows Vista Beta1
Windows Vista
Windows XP
Cylon Tune
SNES Startup (Very short Bootsound)
Bootsound-Eraser
*I will upload more bootsounds soon (If you find a very nice sound for Bootsound, tell me and I will make it CWM flashable)*
How to apply these?:
1. Turn your phone off
2. Boot your phone into Recovery [Volume up + Home-button + Power-Button]
3. Go into CWM Recovery
4. !!!Mount /system!!!
5. Flash the Bootsound you want!
These sounds are not made by me. I just made them CWM flashable.
You can use this for your Custom ROM. You don't have to ask for permissions, but put me into the credits, or tell at least that I have made the CWM flashable Bootsounds.
Download at Mediafire

Hi,
I'm currently new to ANDROID:laugh:. Sony Xperia SP is my first Android phone and this phone spec is great. Especially the LED. So straight to the point :cyclops:
I UPDATE my firmware to the latest 12.0.A.2.254 > learn to ROOT from (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2405933) > did RECOVERY CWM learn from (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2352920) > Install DEODEX ROM take from (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2423625) > I UNLOCKED my Bootloader learn from (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2354721) > Install custom ROM take from (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2478019).
Addition item that I did

So far there is no problem. My QUESTION are what should I do NEXT? Update kernal? Flash latest CM? How to update ROM without losing my app? I already install Titanium Backup Pro but I don't know how to use it because there are many type of back up in this App.
So anyone can help me make my phone better and teach me how to back up my phone. In addition is there any camera apk or MOD for me to use so it will make my picture and video taken look good and not blur because XSP camera is 7MP.
Sorry if all this question and writing are stupid and CREDIT to developer (all website) who create the modify item for XSP
Titanium backup, menu and read. Mods are under android general. Crossbreeder or supercharger are nice mods. Cm10 is beta. Next time me I test pac rom. For some nice mods Google xposed. Xblaster is a nice module.

Having unlocked the bootloader makes you eligible to flash cm and other roms based on it.All of them, though in beta stage, are quite stable and can be used as daily driver. Also , they are far better than stock in terms of multitasking capabilities and general smoothness. So, if you are willing to give up bravia engine and other sony goodies, i suggest you go for any one of them.

If I install those and lose bravia engine can I recover it by format it back to factory default using flash tool?
Once you unlock bootloader you lose your drm keys and with it you lose BE too.
So before unlock , backup TA partition...

Hello everyone,
this is a another contribution by me. This time it's a SCRIPT. I took some code from another scripts, modified them a little bit and added some own code. I tried it myself and saw more speed. Well, don't have much to talk about, so let's start...
Features
• Disable/Enable logger with terminal commands (Disable for more performance)
• R/W tweaks
• Network tweaks
• Better Remount
• Replaces /dev/random with /dev/urandom for more performance (maybe placebo)
• Disables syncookies
• Disable Journey (only effective if you have EXT4 filesystem)
• Set Renice to make phone more effective
• FPS Stabilizer
• Some Important Build.prop tweaks
• And much more... Test it yourself
To do things, write following in terminal:
Code:
su
smartfluid
Installation
1. Enter Recovery Mode (VOL UP + HOME BUTTON + POWER BUTTON)
2. Flash into Clockworkmod Recovery (Get it from here)
3. Mount /system AND /data
4. Flash the script
5. Enjoy!
If you want to uninstall this script, download the Uninstaller from the attachment and follow the above instructions.

If you have any question or suggestion, don't hesitate writing to me.
The latest attachment is the newest version.
Use the No-Renice version if you experience lags/high RAM usage
The FAQGot a question? Search here first for the answer, and THEN only post.
Q: Does it increases performance/battery life?
A: Just Try it. If you don't like it, you have an availible uninstaller.
Q: Is it compatible with ... ROM?
A: Yes, it's universal.
Q: Will you add ... feature in the next version?
A: Just PM me if you have any suggestions, I will decide what will come with the next versions.
(If you want sqlite and/or zipaligning, use this!)
Q: Can I flash the newer version over the older one?
A: Yes, you can. The newer script will do everything for you.
Q: When does the next version come out?
A: Only wait. It will come out when I do think it's new features are worth a new version.
Q: Can I use it for my ROM?
A: Yes, you may release a version with my script intergrated, only thing to do is to give proper Credit.
Q: Is this script compatible with ... script?
A: CrossBreeder does work and is a nice combination with this script. Cronmod has no problem too. Other tweaks will most probably not work (or slow down the device).

The logcat. If you aren't debugging something you ain't needing it, so you can turn it off. Disabling it can give some performance.

Usually after booting my phone, the pattern unlock lags for about 5 seconds, after flashing this test, i get almost no lag at all, even when sd card is still being read!
This is by far my favourite tweak to date.
Wow! Very impressed!
Really nice work :good:
Got almost 0 lags today.
Some features which I would like to be included on the future :
- Low OOM/Minfree/LMK by default (No one will complain about RAM usage anymore)
- Some android features enabled by default (Like purgeable assets, Surface Dithering, Kernel JNI error checking)
- Mediascanning tweaks
Well thats enough. Later I will tell more suggestions.
Congrats for your work fany!
I try new version and its faster i agree with sniper to add 16-bit purgeable assets, Surface Dithering, Kernel JNI error checking so if possible i will be happy to see that in new release
Yea, 16-Bit won't be bad. Will try to add it in the next releases. Same applies to Media Scanning.
Oh, and btw, new test release

As promised i made an new AROMA ROM based on the A2017G-N-B08 version.
As for the little spare time that i had i tried to make a new version that has some features to add and to debloat further to scratch. It’s nothing too fancy but all right i think :cyclops:. I’ve enjoyed making it and will make new ones on new update-releases !
It’s fully functional and tested. Smooth, no bugs (report when there is)
Hope you’ll E N J O Y !!!
Based on :
A2017G N-B08-slim³ ROM (not released because of this ROM based on it )
MiFavor 4.2
INSTALL : ( TWRP )
When you're on another ROM, stock (or even on B05-slim,B06-slim² or B08) and you want a clean install just follow this procedure :
Other models like A2017 and A2017U can flash this too. Only use Universal BL & your specific MODEM ! : https://androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=148464
0. In case you want to reflash your own apps, backup your personal apps with f.e. TB, ZipMe... (or whatever)
1. Make a full backup of your current device in TWRP ! (use it to RESTORE if necessary) DON’T FORGET !
2. Wipe cache / dalvik / data / system
3. Install : A2017G-N-B08-bootstack : https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=745849072291684863
4. Install : AROMA A2017(G) SL!M³ DF!NR : https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=817906626617945436
5. Choose your stuff to add or debloat, let it RUN and reboot, wait…a minute…or 2…
6. Done ! No more no less
AFTER INSTALL :
1. Go into Adaway/give root permission/download files etc. and update DONE!
2. When you added Youtube Adfree, you’ll have to go into PlayStore/settings and check “no auto updates” ! Otherwise the Youtube app will update again to that TERRIBLE ANNOYING ADD state!

No. It's not. I leave it odexed for known reasons : fluency , speed...
But removing system apps has no direct influence if you know what to remove. But I guess you know
I removed a bunch of system apps without deodexing.
It's only necessary when replacing apps (in some cases even that is not needed)
@raystef66
My problem is that I want to use microG.
Removing gapps lead to an unbootable device on the stock ROMs.
I never tried your creations.
Do I have to resign the zip file of the b08 if I edit delete the unwanted folders before flashing?

If you want to remove or edit where possible you don't have to resign. Just drag folders you want to delete out of zip. When replacing apk's just drag them into it. Remember to verify if it's possible to remove /delete or replace.
You can always back up the original ones. If not working you always can revert back.
Or you deodex the rom partly when you know how.
I don't know your specific issue but I think it's doable.
Otherwise, PM me. Perhaps we can figure it out :good:
Anyways, replacing all gapps and inserting microG could be tricky. But harmless when not working
I could look into it tomorrow when you want or sent me the specific data you want to build in.

The other rom works with U model though. You just have to flash the universal bootstack/modem for U version. Only thing that doesn't work with that version is volte/cdma.
I am just confused. Seems like other rom is a mix of 4.2 and 5 though not only 5 and changing themes on adm rom currently causes a force close anyway so little use!
fellas, anyone that uses facebook messenger: are you getting signed out of fb (like once a day) if you try to reply by clicking on the notification? i've reinstalled and it still being dumb but i'm pretty sure its an issue with fb since its such a great app that never has issues......
Is it possible to completely remove the screen lock clearing battery saving feature? I'm using a custom ROM because I hate apps being force closed when I lock my screen, and you can't disable it for some apps (like live wallpapers).
Hey! Nobody uses whatapps here? I was happy to try this super b08 but unfortunately zte still has not corrected the problem of voice messages on whatapps so I go back to b04. Super good job otherwise this slim version with aroma ???
Hi there..
Here is my first custom kernel for Huawei P10plus (Oreo)
Build from Sources with UBERTC
Permissive
Add Governor (impulse, blu_active, darkness, bioshock)
I/O Scheduler (Zen, tripndroid, sio, sioplus)
(at the moment only with external storage)
Boeffla wakelock blocker
Instructions :
Backup your Kernel with twrp
flash kernel image with twrp and reboot
or
Flash with fastboot : fastboot flash kernel nameofkernel
Only flash the right version for your firmware or you got a bootloop and you can't enter twrp.
Download :
https://mega.nz/#F!qpICHY7J!u_UW4CgFTF6p1OaR-qnFTA
I can add more versions. Just ask
Have fun.
Sources : https://github.com/fromfuture/elizium
Thanks to @pappschlumpf @ante0 (hint for permissive mode)
My telegram group for testing [emoji106]
Iirc I/O scheduler can't be set on internal, it uses blk-mq. So you somehow must disable blk-mq. However, I read that blk-mq is best used with flash memory.
B336 base of FF Rom- Kernel works perfectly and Selinux is finally permissive.
Great work!
B321 working fine.
Sorry for the ignorance, I'm a little new to the custom ROM scene. I've used most of the tools involved, but mostly flashing Google ROMs to Nexus/Pixel phones.
If I'm installing a ROM like this, would it be reliable enough for day to day use of the phone? The last time I tried a custom ROM it was pretty flakey, but it looks like things have improved a lot since then.

Hi @Blackball,
I'm a Honor 9 user and would like to ask: is it possible to use your kernel on my phone, since I have Oreo build 360 (C432) too?
Or can I provide you something to try to make one for our Honor 9? Official Oreo kernel sources are available for H9, anyway.
