Just install root again, same as you did it last time.

[Q] Rooting Problem

I unlocked bootloader flashed TWRP 2.6. both no problem. This was done with the help of qbking77 youtube. Made an unrooted backup then flashed super su. Went to root checker and says I'm not rooted. I got a message when I opened supersu saying something like I need to reroot due to the fact that I was already updated to 4.3. Any suggestions? I'm at a loss right now. If I install my unrooted back up, where will that leave me? Can I relock the bootloader at that point and remain stock unrooted? Thanks in advance for any help I can get.

Can't root (3.62, stock)

Hey guys,
I've just received my replacement phone and I'm trying to route it.
It came with 4.3 already installed.
I've unlocked the bootloader and installed CWM but want to s-off so I'm trying to root my stock (Three UK branding) ROM.
I've trying flashing superuser an superSU from recovery (CWM and TWRP) and they flash successfully and install onto my phone but don't actually give me root access!?
It also won't let me update the binaries in SuperSU
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.
Edit - I'd somehow managed to download an outdated version on SuperSU. It's working now. Silly me.

Unlocked Bootloader Moto X Lost Root

Hi
I have a moto x with the bootloader unlocked and stock kernel with TWRP. Everything else is stock android 4.4 from T-Mobile.
I followed this thread to root the phone: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2536200 "[HOW-TO][DEV EDITION ONLY]Root on 4.4 KitKat"
Everything went fine and I had root acces. I installed xposed framework and some moddueles without problem and cerberus but when I tried to install greenify I noticed I couldn't give it root permissions. I checked super su's app and everything seemed normal so I downloaded Root Checker to confirm I'm rooted but it says I'm not.
Knowing that I lost root (can't figure out why) I went to super su app and selected to unroot the device. Then I booted into recovery and flashed again the root zip but when checking again if I have root privileges with root checker, it still says no.
Now I can't get root again. I'd like to avoid using fastboot because I'm using linux (I'm a noob with bootloaders and fastboot because I got spoiled by Samsung).
Can anyone help me?
Thanks in advance :fingers-crossed:
I forgot to mention that I did a backup before I rooted the device the first time in case that helps.
Nevermind. I fixed it.

[Q] Updated to 4.3 No ROOT :(

Hi all,
Just updated to Sony's latest offering .266 and, obviously, lost ROOT access.
Has anyone any info on how to re-root? I am on a locked bootloader and cannot unlock it.
Please advise? I have lost all of my custom settings and cannot change until I have root access.

There's no root method for locked bootloader for 4.3 as for now. Or you can try the root method by sir @jancsessz tho you'll need to downgrade it back to 4.1.2. Didn't work for me tho but worth a try :silly:

Soo first you'd want to downgrade to 4.1.2 which can be easily done using flashtool
And then use Doomlord's method. This one is for .245 and .254
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2405933
When you've done rooting you'll need CWM. Not sure about the original thread but here's the download link
http://d-h.st/Las
Extract and run the install.bat after rooting and you'll get both root access and CWM
Then follow the tutorial from earlier to update to 4.3 and voila! :victory:
It is a new update. Why are we so unpatience? Let the developers work on this!

[Q] Rooting Verizon HTC One with weaksauce

I've frequented xda for 4 years and until now, I've always been able to find help just by observing the threads. My case seems to be unique so I decided to finally create an account. I need help rooting my HTC One. I actually rooted and unlocked it before when I first got it while still on jelly bean. But since the last 2 updates to kitkat I've lost root. I've been trying to root again since and found out about jcase's root weaksauce. Its really simple to do, but it didn't work for me. When I opened it, it said I'm already rooted. This is a screenshot of what comes up.
I assume I'm not rooted because supersu doesn't work and none of the other root apps I downloaded work. However when I go into bootloader mode It says at the top ***UNLOCKED*** and below that it says M7_WLV PVT **** S-OFF RH. I'm attached a pic of that here.
Could this mean that I have s-off but I'm not rooted? If so how do I root? Any help would be hugely appreciated! I want to post this in the weaksauce thread but I can't due to the restrictions of a new account.

Thank you for your help. I tried installing supersu update from recovery but after it stops at the level of verifying and says that installation aborted. When I open the supersu that I downloaded from the play store it tells me that there is no binary installed and Supersu cannot install one, "This is a problem", then closes.
Any other thoughts please?

you have certainly a unlocked bootloader and S-OFF
that's good
have you made an update before installing the last 2 updates?

That's good to hear! Seems like all I'm missing is root access. I'd always updated the app and binaries whenever I was rooted, but since the updates to the One, I've only updated the app from the play store.

I haven't backed up since the updates. I've always used helium in the past but that required root access.
I am having the same problem with gaining root access using WeakSauce. I have an unlocked bootloader and s-off but it comes up already rooted. Were you able to figure out a fix for this?
I am having the same issue? has this been resolved? Every time I click the weaksauce app it says "already rooted". My device was previously rooted and is shows S-OFF in the bootloader screen.
