First, copy your adb drivers to a backup on your pc (unless you don't mind d/ling them again). Then, uninstall sync manager and all drivers. Reconnect the phone, and it should reinstall the drivers and sync manager. Then get into bootloader and fastboot should be working again. Hope this helps.
Hi,

I can't seem to figure out what happened to my ADB driver. I installed HTC Sync to use USB tethering and found that ADB no longer worked. I checked the drivers and found that the ADB driver is missing. I uninstalled HTC sync and the driver, plugged in my phone and the phone automatically installs the driver for HTC Sync. Tried to perform "adb remount" and it gives me "error: device not found".
I am running Windows XP SP3 on my computer. Cyanogen 4.2.3.1 with the Buuf theme. If somebody could help me get ADB back I would appreciate it.
Anybody? Any Suggestions?

YOu have to reinstall the driver but don't let it choose the driver for you tell WIndows that you'll do it manually and select the win32 driver in the SDK tools.
That being said you aren't going to be able to use HTC Sync anymore.
Thanks for the reply. How can I manually install the driver? I uninstalled the HTC sync driver, plugged my phone in, and the driver automatically installs. It never gives me a chance to browse for a different driver. If there is some way I can force the driver to install without connecting the phone, that would probably do the trick. I would much rather have ADB than USB tethering anyway.
Nevermind. Next time I will google before I ask how to do something.
If anybody else has a similar problem, just google how to install drivers manually and manually install the ADB driver.
Hello everyone,I just want a pc suite for my htc t-mobile g1 so I can install applications because htc sync and android pc suite can't recognize my phone.
adb is your friend, don't need an app for that, just cmd/terminal.
Can't you just use the Market? O.O
Thanks for your replay but adb is not working for me (device offline) and I can't open the market because wifi is not working good.
try this
i use it all the time. really useful

If ADB isn't working, check to make sure you have the updated drivers first. Here.
I insttalled android-sdk-windows and I did all the updates but when I try to install an application with adb I get (error:device offline) so I don't know where is the problem.
you need the compatible G1 drivers first.
One way to do this is to install PDA-Net (just the free version) and install that... reboot your computer and then try adb. The drivers are in the pdanet software and its a fix. You can uninstall pda-net (after you get adb working) because the drivers will stay on the computer.
also you do know you are supposed to run adb when the phone is on... running its regular system.
I installed pda net and I get android original adb interface installed but the driver of usb mas storage is not installed and I still have the same probleme (device offline).

Try uninstalling all HTC drivers, then HTC sync and rebooting your computer. Then put your phone in fastboot and connect it via micro usb. Let the drivers installed and then install HTC sync. This work for me but I'm running Windows 8.
If the above doesnt work uninstall drivers and HTC Sync and install this
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2386956
Then reboot your PC and you may also have to disable any antivirus or firewalls, including windows firewall.

Sir tried this but no luck...
Adb and fastboot don't recognize phone. I've made sure I installed the correct jre and the SDK is installed at the latest version with the addons needed for it.
Am I missing something?
how about the nexus 6 or adb driver? is it installed? computer wont see your phone without it.
I figured it out. I had to uninstall the adb driver then install it manually pointing it towards the adb folder. Thanks though!
I have a problem after updating to latest June Security patch for Nokia 8 TA-1004. I had installed driver long time ago when I wanted to obtain root and there I did it. However, after updating to latest patch which also causes to lose root, I couldn't get my phone to detect adb in cmd. I tried reinstalling driver but still not working. USB Debugging is also on. What could this be the problem? I need help. I want to obtain root back. Thank you very much in advance.
Is your adb up to date? I'm using the latest version of Minimal ADB and Fastboot with bundled driver from my TA-1052, works like a charm.
Get that fork of ADB and Fastboot and use it straight out of cmd :

I've got ADB drivers installed and the N8 is correctly detected as a fastboot device when in "Download mode", however I cannot flash anything, most likely because "adb devices" does not show any device (it is correctly shown when fully booted up). So I'm guessing it's a driver problem...and the problem is that I cannot install the bundled drivers, either on my Win10 (the setup.exe doesn't do anything) laptop or my old W7 laptop (error). Can anyone help ? Thanks !
