[ROM][FTF][CWM]XPERIA Tablet Z Stock Firmware 10.1.C.0.370

Stock Firmware Files (FTF-File and CWM-flashable-ZIP-File) for ur XPERIA Tablet Z WiFi 32GB
I am not a Developer so everything u find here comes without warranty! I tested the FTF-File and had no problems on my SGP312! But this
wont mean it is the same for u ... Whatever u do with the files u find here, u do it at ur own risk! I am not responsible for any damages!!!
Here we go:
FTF-File to use with Flashtool
this is Stock Firmware 10.1.C.0.370 from Japan
i guess it makes no difference whether it is Japanese or somewhat else!
DOWNLOAD
CWM-Flashable-ZIP to use u need to read here
this file is slightly modified ... for lack of time it is same like this
maybe root works out of the box ... ef not flash this one to make sure root is correctly installed.

Maybe root is not stable ... dont know ... i could not test the cwm-zip-file ... ef so pls tell me! i can upload another zip-file
contending a modified install-recovery.sh file! Maybe that helps!!!​

I have a brand new xperia tablet Z jb FW10.1.C.0.370 model sgp311 16GB wifi with locked bootloader
Just to be sure before flashing this, how to do!
install flashtool and then flash this japense version off FW 370 and then i have root ??
+ exclude "partition"(because i got the 16gigs version) and "unknown" in flashtool
but what about my language then? if i OTA install my countrys version off 370 i´ll loose root again wont i?

As written FTF-file is stock... Atm u can't root fw370 straight away!
CWM Zip-file is modified ... already rooted... but with unlocked bootloader
u can root easily.
U gotta go back to fw344 root it and update Ota... for me root is
inconsistent then but read about working root in some cases
(I don't believe but some wrote it down so...)

So if i unlock bootloader (i say yes) i can install cwm flashable zip from recovery+ superuser.zip, and then i have root?
whitout having to go back to fw344?
Or is it best to wait until binaries get updated with FW370?

well i am going to wait ... i am back @ 344 and i will stay @ this fw until root hack is
more stable than nowadays ... but it depends on u ... i have read threads people love
cm10.1 on there XTZ ... and bravia engine 2 is a bit of a joke ... but i also read about
bravia engine as a really really good engine gettin the most beautiful colors out of XTZ.
So ... sorry ur choice ... but yes ur right ... that is the way it goes atm!

Sorry ... its Japanese too!!! Would be German or European but i needed to go back to
Japanese 344 ... and so i only get a Japanese Update File, but i dont think there is much
difference.

thanks, but i'll pass. Not installing foreign firmware in my US XTZ. I've heard there are differences and some apps/features arent the same. Will wait until someone makes flashable zip for US SGP312 version.

@c0llal0, do you encounter the reboot issue while modify the write/read in RE at FW 370? seems i did not meet this issue while at 344 but upgrade to 370(stay rooted), tried stop ric or ensure the etc/install-recovery.sh with 'system/bin/stop ric', not work. Please let me if u could have suggestion instead of back to 344

you should put Japanese version in the topic, like everyone else does, who posts firmware files. Otherwise it confuses people and some migh unintentionally flash your update on a tablet from another country and lose all their local apps and settings

What happened to my z1?

My z1 is the China edition, it dose not contains Google accounts ,Google play and Google service framework etc. For me it's unacceptable, so I rooted it,and use root explorer copy these apks to system from the gapps pack.Now almost everything works fine, except two issues. One is every time when I reboot the phone, it always makes me choose the languages. Another is z1 cannot be found in the Google play's device list.Does anyone know what make these happened and how to fix it?

Rather than extracting each apks from gapp, it'd be better to just flash the entire gapp.zip from cwm recovery.
So if I were you:
1. Flash cwm, if you haven't done so already.
2. Factory reset the phone.
3. Flash gapp via cwm recovery.

That's true. But flash the cwm must be unlocked. Will the bravia engine be lost when I unlocked the device?It's my first time use Sony's device, I don't known much about it.

Well you can just flash CWM recovery via ROM Manager (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.koushikdutta.rommanager) once you're rooted.
In terms of the Bravia Engine, just do a TA back up (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2292598)
BTW, there're reports that unlocking the bootloader breaks the camera (http://www.xperiablog.net/2013/09/14/unlocking-xperia-z1-bootloader-breaks-camera-functionality/). So you'd have to back up TA anyway.

If you want a good stock rom just flash a ftf with flashtool from another region. You even do not need to unlock or whatever to get gapps then, just flash a unrestricted region!

Thanks guys,I already backup the TA,but I don't know what does it use for? I'll try the rom manager as well!And flash another region's stock rom will it be bricked?

Some have reported losing camera when flashing stock rom for another region. So you need to backup TA before you flash anything or you take the chance of losing your camera.

hi pal, I want to confirm if buy a Chinese version of Z1, and later want to ROOT + FLASH it STOCK HK firmware, is that possible WITHOUT unlocking BL? That should be possible right? Unlockng BL is only for CUSTOM roms right?

Really? I thought camera get lost while unlocking? And for FTF unlocking is not needed!
But please point me to a posting where this is stated! I want to investigate it!

Yes exactly, you can flash FTF WITHOUT unlocking. FTF flashing with flashtool is same as flashing with Sony original flashing software, but Flashtool lets you override the region settings, so you can debrand/crossflash another region etc etc

RIGHt, this is want I want (my old xperia S is also flashed HK stock firmware working very fine for 2 years almost)
So I want to continue this as the HK version is better than CN with google and facebook by default.
Could you also keep me update regarding the LOSING CAMERA risk even just flashing stock with locked BL?
I also need confirmation on this...very risky man~~ THANKS PALS!!

Can you please tell me which phone you have C6902 or C6903 ? Which SI-Numer (look on your box!) and tell me which is the current software you have.

You are correct sir, I misread, they lost the camera after unlocking.
So I understand, root device (backup TA), FTF flash Taiwan FW over Chinese Rom, profit? Is that there is all too it?

Correct, China version has no google apps. Either the Taiwan or Hong Kong version will have it. If you could upload either one in FTF format that would be greatly appeciated.

To flash this copy the FTF file to flashtools/firmware folder and then just flah it, no root nothing else needed !
Just connect device in flashmode (green led -> Power off, connect usb while holdung volume down) and flash it!

You mean for C6903 right? because as it seems there is C6902 (like in CN) and in TW, but in HK i can only find Model C6903, and SOMETIMES these models differ on little parameters, like kernel and can cause unwanted issues!

Follow the topic, you can update first without root if you like, but you still need to get back on 257 to root anyway.

First revert back to .534 (Hope you know how to downgrade and flash ftf's using flashtool, if you don't please let me know),
Then root it using Kingo,
Install XZDual Recovery,
Then proceed with the link mentioned above.

Install dual recovery (no need to root)
Flash a pre rooted 4.4 rom

couldI save some steps and go straight so flash the zip file or do I have to flash the ftf and then the zip? I just dont get it, that guide is kinda confusing for me

Don't worry and welcome to Xperia
You'd have to flash the FTF first. So flash .534 FTF and install XZDualRecovery before proceeding with the thread you've mentioned and do the steps provided there

That link aint working not sure if I can extract the ftf from my phone which is unlocked. Talked to doomlord and it seems rooting doesnt make you lose your drm keys but unlocking the bootloader does, you need root to get the TA backup

No you can not, but there are literally hundreds of FTF files in the mega collection thread that are not torrents for this user to use

Please give me step by step guide on how to root sony xperia z1 I am on kitkat 4.4.2 build number 14.3.A.0.757 and model no. C6902. And if I want to remove root how can I do it? If you do not know what to do after rooting I must question your reasons on why you want to root.
However, you may want to do it to learn about android and that is good enough.
There are numerous guides and how to posts in order to gain root on that FW, one of them is linked in my signature. There are now more direct ways to do it, but the one in my signature is good enough. Try that, it will mean some reading and learning, but that the joy in the journey

please search a little too. Anyways, wait for the latest update for ur phone. That will install 4.4.4 on your device and your build number will end with 108. Once you get that update rooting ur device becomes really easy. There is easy root tool available. Just download and start that program in ur PC and follow the onscreen instructions. Again, that will work only on 4.4.4 so wait till then.

I have searched a lot but as I told I am getting confused between build number and all. In some post I saw I need to downgrade is it necessary? And what if I don't get the 4.4.4 update?

4.4.4 for c6902 has been out for few days. Connect ur phone to Sony PC Companion and check for upgrade. Else wait for few days. You will get it for sure.

You can do it. For that you need to flash an older 534 rom, root it and then install dual recovery and then flash the latest rom. I dont know why you are in such a hurry.

Yeah! Flash it with flashtool via your PC. Make sure that all drivers are working.

ROM is full rooted. It's not the root problem. It's about TB problem. Use my TB and tell me if it work!
I've never used Xposed... I have no idea. I can't get it work.

It works for both locked and unlocked (Requirements in the first post )
I've just checked all the links.. All are working here. I don't know why you have problem with those download links... Any suggestions for new Cloud? I'll upload for you.
Yeah SG is area code. It's Singapore. It's official Stock for SG. It work for all C6902 and C6903.

So I have tried any tried literally half a dozen times. I have moved to 4.4.4 rooted.
Flashed the first file zip. Tried weeping clean everything and leaving it.
Then I have flaked the light after wiping again, and before. Also tried the super light.
I am constantly getting stuck on bootloop. I get the Sony screen and a double vibrate then reboot. Tried turning it off and on all bootloop.
Tried making my own ftf and All sorts.
The only way I can use root is to flash back to 157 then 108v and back again.
Any ideas why I'm not having any luck? I can add you on Facebook if it's easier?

Forgot to add... Everywhere else I have read says no root for locked bl exists yet? Are you sure it's not down to my bl being locked? I can't syee any other problems everything Flashed fine every time

well i was wondering, i read somehwere in the original post that Customized_SG is customized by Sony for Singapore.
What is exactly the customization?? I know it will work anywhere on earth, but I really want to know what is exactly customized.
Besides, what's the difference between the regular version & the "light" ones? do you mean "lite" as less in size / apps / bloatware??
if so, what was removed?

Hey. Did you just do as stated in the guide or did you make extra steps etc? I cant get mine to work at all, constant boot loops.
I have 4.4.4 rooted with the 157 kernel flashed afterwards which is the requirement. I have wiped everything, flashed the zip via recovery. then booted into flash mode and flashed the super light. Boot loop. I also tried the light version for a full wipe and still boot loop. I wiped dalvik and cache and factory reset and everything i could find to wipe both before and after the flashing.
Do you have any idea what i am doing wrong? or is it just something thats different on my phone or whatever? Im in UK with stock rom, but using the kernel from the guides to root. Root and recovery are installed succesfully with no problems.

You're right! Customized SG is for Singapore. I'm not sure what SONY exactly customizes for different areas... maybe just embedded apps or services (or what else? I need someone who knows clearly to help me to answer this question too). What I know, C6902 can use other C6902 ROM with no problem. C6903 can use other C6903 ROM with no problem too.
About my both ftf,
the .zip + light = flash original ftf (nothing was excluded) + root & recovery.
the .zip + Super Light = original ftf excluded flashing partition, app and data + root & recovery. (or you can call 'stripped')

Did you flash the .157 kernel after rooting and installing recovery? Make sure that you flash the .157 after recovery installation. Then reboot your phone. Now start the installation in the post #1. Read it carefully! Wipe (cache and dalvik cache only) state is before the .zip installation. No need to wipe again after that. Power off your phone and flash the ftf you prefer. Now it's time to power on your phone.

I have tried it many times but just get bootloop very annoying.
Guess I'll have to wait for an easy tool or whatever before upgrading

How long u wait for first boot.
My first boot so long, i wait to 15 minutes
