Are you sure when setting up your phone you never selected to back your pictures up thru drop box or Google+. Always a good thing to check before losing hope

I think might be diskdriggertool was not able to recover all your data. Give a try to Remo Recover software; It may help you to get back all deleted photos.

I do not think you can, unless you backed them up before this.
When you do stuff such as: repair via any tool on PC, flashing roms or unlocking the bootloader you should be prepaired to lose all data.
Kind regards, Stefan,

Recover photos?

Hi there I made a bit of an error and deleted some family photos from internal storage. Does anyone know if there is a way to get them back.
My phone is unrooted if that makes a difference.

Not sure if this will work on mobile but I used a program called wondershare to recover my photo's off my usb HDD, might be worth a try
if you had dropbox setup they would have auto uploaded

Preparing to sell my Cap. Question on personal data.

I've had this phone since October, but I decided to upgrade to a Skyrocket i727. I flashed this to CM10.1 back in May, and a guy from down the street wants it with the current ROM I have installed. However, I'm a bit concerned about the personal data on it. Should I do a full flash to stock, then reflash CM? Or will I be able to accomplish the same thing by going to: Settings>Backup & reset>Factory data reset. I want to be able to hand him the phone and it be as if I just flashed CM10.1.

If it were me, I would flash back to stock, root and install CM. Let him do the Google Set Up.
Unless you just need the the money...... I kept my Cappy when I upgraded. I unlocked it and use it as a backup phone and a multi media player.

I considered this, but I'm trying to help him out. I went to high school with his wife. He dunked his iPhone in the pool. Thought an Android might turn him from the dark side!

you can do a secure DOD wipe before factory reset. there are apps on google play for this. uninstall all your user apps, except the secure wipe tool. delete your google and email profiles. then run the secure wipe when rooted. do a factory reset.
should do it.

Everything you need to do is to move all your files on SD card or PC and do Factory Reset. All personal data will be erased, including Google accounts.
Thanks for all the tips guys!

[Q] I think my play store is corrupted

The specific problem is a little hard to describe. Its unusable, because I cant read anything. Screenshots are required to understand the problem.

That is weird!
Are you rooted, or is device completely stock?
Have you downloaded any new apps that may have gone rogue or maybe a virus that you can think of?

I am using samsung galaxy note. I plan on getting the note 3, so I guess I accidentally just read note 3 as my device.
I'm guessing if I could uninstall any play store updates, I could update again, and everything would be fine. But I don't know how to do that.

Go to app manager click play store then uninstall updates

I tried that already. Wasn't there. Looked again, and realized it wasn't where, I expected it to be, because the name had changed to some unintelligible string. Cleared data, then removed updates, just as easily as I expected it to be, but I didn't look good enough.

I suspect you got hit pretty hard with malware.
What carrier are you using or what is the model number of your device, a mod will be by shortly to move this to the proper forum.
You may need to go and do a complete restore of your device.

If you're at your wits end, you'll probably need to factory reset your device. If you take this problem to a carrier store, that's the first thing they're going to want you to do anyways.

did you drop it by any chance? the camera may have come loose and if thats the case...take it in. i dont think the techs are allowed to open them yet or dont know HOW to open them..but guy above me is right..if you take it in, they'll want to reset it...we were taught to always do that first whether the customer wanted it done or not...if they didnt, we were told to "try anything we know" until the customer came back and then ask them one more time...no replacement until it's done.
I uninstalled the google camera app and disable the stock camera app and problem solved......thank you guys!!!
