I was using the site earlier today, but now I keep getting an error on the site, "Error establishing a database connection".
Sounds like something wrong with the content database for the site.

Hi, I am unable to download the weather data using weather tab on HTC Home. I can browse sites using PIE so connection is not a problem. Is anyone else having the same problem?
Message says "Unable to retrieve data for the selected city", I tried different cities from the list all return the same error.
Why ask " has anyone else had this problem" when searching shows you the answer to the question? If someone has had the problem then you would think there is a thread, that thread may solve your problem.

Hey guys,
I'm having a very strange problem with my G1.
It doesn't connect to Google!
I don't know how this problem came, I didn't change anything and boom! It didn't work.
GMail and the Market aren't working. GTalk and the Browser ARE working. However, when I go to 'www.google.com' or any other language google-site, it says 504 HTTP Error!
I already tried reflashing between different ROMs (and wiped data and EXT2), but then, when it asks for your google username and stuff, it can't connect (gives me the following error: ""can't establish a reliable data connection to the server". It does say '3G' in the status bar tho)
Can somebody help me, i'm going on holiday in 2 days so I need a quick fix lol.
Oh and btw: it can't be my provider (Vodafone), because in my old phone I can browse to Google without a problem!
EDIT:
I got it to work! If you ever get the same problem: remove the 'Proxy' in your APN setting!
alright good job bram! Please edit title to [SOLVED] so idiots like me don't post in the thread

I think you misunderstood what he meant... He meant that you can't use the marketplace unless your phone is activated. Not that you can't use both if the phone is activated.
ahh yeah, sorry my bad.
I read it incorrectly, I thought he was saying you cant deploy apps if your phone is activated
ok my phone is activated and unlocked...installed some cracked apps found via the forum...now when i go into marketplace and try to download a free app, i get this error "Can't get this info right now, check back in a little while"...what's the deal?
If you have problem downloading app's from market use ident. trick by xboxmod:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC\operatorpkg]
"Version"="7.3.728.10201"
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\Platform\DeviceTargeting Info]
"OemName"="HTC"
"MODeviceName"="HD7 T9292"
"OEMDeviceName"="Schubert"
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Ident]
"FriendlyName"="HTC HD7"
how to:

False . My phone is activated and can sideload just fine .
Sorry, wasn't sure inder which thread to post, however, does anyone know hoe to get the Netflix app? Zune software can't find it for me, marketplace does not have it either.
strange!!!!!!
because I got one from the marketplace, but its written as T-mobile netflix, so I guess it would only for t-mobile user, not sure though
i got it in marketplace also.
when you go to the market place click on apps> entertainment> free. its the second one there. i just downloaded mine on to my phone.
Is there a XAP available?
There was a .xap of Netflix I found on some other thread but I won't bother linking to it as when I had downloaded and sideloaded it before I had live activated, it wouldn't go past a Netflix splashscreen. You probably have to download legitly from marketplace cause it checks for a license :/
Sent from my {htc HD2/7} using Board Express
i was wondering if anyone was having audio syncing problems with netflix ? when im watching a movie the audio is way off

funny, before seeing this post the only thing i tested on netflix was Ip Man. But just tried something else and the audio seems fine for me. right on time.
netflix...
works on my hd2...the vid quality isn't as crisp as say "the transformers" that came on the phone, but it works...could be the connections, a setting or something...the audio is perfect...it does "acquire a license" prior to loading...i couldn't get this to load on android so this is a huge step forward...
i guess im the only one having this issue wonder why

Error streaming
I installed the T-Mobile netflix app and it loads and browses my account.
However, when I try to stream anything I get:
"Connection Problem
Error Code: P8156
A connection problem is preventing playback.
If your phone is connected to your computer, disconnect your phone or close Zune.
If the problem persists, please call Netflix at 866-579-7113"
I get the same error both under wifi and data connection. I have not actived live services. Could that be the problem?

I have this problem also & my phone is activated also.
Has anyone else seen this? I've gotten it to pop up 5 times or so since I've owned this phone and I have no clue what app it could be. I have the same apps on this phone that I always have on my phones and the only difference is now I don't have Adaway. I'm assuming it's something that I just never saw before due to it being blocked. Am I the only one with this? It opens in Samsung Browser. At the time, I was in TheScore app looking at baseball scores...
Sorry, here's the picture:
It's definitely not a legit system message. If it's only popping up in the browser try going into settings / apps and clearing all data for the browser you're using.

Interestingly, here's what happens when I directly try to go to the URL listed in my first screenshot.
By any chance does it pop up everytime you unlock the phone or is it random?
It looks like a trojan or Malware to me!
It may be too late but I would NOT click to Fix Now button
I tried to look it up but do not see any direct hits for the exact wording
That's a SPAM ad. It's probably coming from an app or website you're on. Those are extremely common on tv streaming sites and file locker/file sharing sites. If you click on it it will take you to a site that will offer to "clean" your phone for you for a fee or subscription.

What these two guys said. I've had that crap pop up through Facebook vids I've watched and from links sent to me via Messenger. Don't click on anything, just back out!
clear your cache and check your apps list..uninstall fishy looking apps....
It is just an advert, various apps and website use a pool of adverts and occasionally it gives you one of those annoying fake system message ones, the worst once constantly vibrate your phone too - there is not much you can do other than close the tab and try again.
