Hello Everyone,I want to tell you about Marketing Mobile Apps.Build your own application storefront.Integrate mobile apps into your loyalty program.
Leverage mobile applications for promotions.Drive users from the web to apps with full tracking. Thanks
After releasing my first app I've noticed that it's surprisingly difficult to gain users. The game has been hanging at about 20 installs for a few days already, and has two ratings.
It is visible in search, so if people are specifically looking for games in the same genre they will see it there. I suppose that having related word in the app description is the trick?
Hello
Very good discussion........
What is process of android app marketing ?
Please help me.

Why is it if you have the coding skills to be able to create applications for, App store, marketplace or whatever, why would you create such toss, I would say wading through itunes, android marketplace and now even the windows phone marketplace the majority of apps are complete crap, do they allow them just to get the number of apps up, we have a bigger more successful app store than our competitor.
Some people just want to get an app out there, can't really blame anyone for wanting to try and develop something.
All the app stores have a large majority of crap, just the way it is.

Yes to all your questions. Learn to code and provide some quality apps for us to use, or keep whinging. Both options are good.
First off, I'd like to say hi and I hope all of you are doing well. I come to you in request for some support as well as an offering that some of you should be able to benefit from.
I've been working hard as possible to produce a website for Android tablet users, which is 100% free of charge. No catches, no gimmicks, no nothing. Before anyone flips out thinking I am advertising, consider this: I could have dropped a link and left. But I didn't I'm here, explaining my cause, and letting you know that there is a wonderful resource that you did not know about, and should enjoy!
Anyways, the website is www.androidtabapps.com (and I won't even link it here! unless a mod says I can) and its sole purpose is to become the internet's largest database of applications that are specifically designed to work on Android tablets. This website will benefit each and every one of you who own an Android tablet because you won't have to sort through hundreds of non-tablet-optimized applications to find something good.
My request from any of you (and its ONLY a request), is that if any of you have, or know of, an application that is designed FOR an Android tablet, to please use the submission form located on my site so that I may add it? I am doing all of this work by hand and while I admit that it's painstakingly time consuming, I am enjoying myself while adding the applications because I am finding some really cool stuff so far.
I look forward to seeing some of you on the site. Pay it a visit, let me know what you think so far. Thanks!
Mine, just in case I need it for something in the future.
As a promotional offering for any application developer:
If you are a developer who has created an application that is written to run specifically on Android tablets, or is WELL optimized for Android tablets, please contact me using the form on my site to receive a 7-day free featured advertisement on my site. Mention XDA somewhere, please. The featured advertisement of your application will be found in the big slider at the top of the home page among other pages. This is limited to the first three developers who contact me, so act fast! Android Tablet Apps is already getting good traffic and I'd love to help some of you developers out a bit!
I'm offering free ad placements for 7 days for the next 3 developers to contact me with information regarding their Android tablet app that's on the market!
Thanks, this will be very useful for me!
I'll let you know if I have any Tablet Apps.

Below is the text of a brief email interview conducted with Oliver Lo, VP of Marketing at App Annie, for an article about app analytics that will be published soon to the XDA Portal. If you have any experiences with specific analytics providers, post them in this forum.
What are the most valuable pieces of data that come out of your product? Why? Give examples of how I might get actionable data, make a change, and improve results.
Our philosophy at App Annie has always been to simplify data, so that time-pressed execs in product, marketing or strategy can easily extract a trend, insight, KPI and recommendation from any App Annie product. We've had a massive outpouring of approval from many of our 100K App Annie fans who use the product regularly. A few examples of how real life people make better business decisions through real-life App Annie data:
• Monitoring all your apps across platforms, countries and categories seamlessly. App publishers and developers are the lifeblood of App Annie. There are well over 200,000 apps worldwide using App Annie Analytics to simply track their apps sales. By being able to track all of their apps across multiple platforms, countries and categories and analyze their downloads, revenues, in-app purchases, rankings, and reviews, they can both monitor their app store performance and figure out in real-time where the key opportunities are for them to better market their apps globally. Many app developers tell us that the App Annie Analytics Daily Email Report (which tells them how their apps fared in the last 24 hours) is the first thing they read when they wake up and grab their smartphone.
• Many app developers also use our free Store Stats tool for app store market research. This tool is the largest app store rankings database of its kind, and it's used by more than 80% of the Top 100 publishers worldwide. Developers from Brooklyn to Beijing use this to check rankings history charts of other apps, spot rankings trends across different countries and categories, and figure out the promotional strategies behind some of the most commercially successful apps out there. From international expansion strategy to marketing strategy and product portfolio strategy, this tool has become the go-to in the industry for app store market research.
What most differentiates you from your competitors (features, pricing, etc)?
With App Annie Analytics, the key thing that differentiates us is the combination of having the best quality product with a completely free price tag. Since we as a company monetize off enterprise level market data, it means that we can afford to offer best-in-class analytics tools to developers without ever asking for a dime. And our Analytics tool is by far the most well-designed and the most feature-packed, making it the most popular app store analytics tool worldwide. With everything from hourly rankings, data export, app sharing and an Analytics API, you really can't do much better anywhere else. At least that's what more than 30,000 app publishers worldwide believe.
Explain your range of pricing and, if you have a low tier or free option, what features are only available to premium users?
Just as app publishers have embraced a truly freemium model for their consumers, we do the same here at App Annie with data. Our products Analytics and Store Stats are completely free for all features and then we have a premium product called App Annie Intelligence, which is an enterprise market data product, providing deep macro insights for app store analysts. This premium product starts at US $15,000 for a one-year subscription.
Are there any technical aspects of implementation that would be helpful to explain?
We believe in hassle-free products with minimum implementation. App developers have enough to worry about with multiple SDKs and app upgrades, so we've made our Analytics product as easy as a two minute sign-up. We connect to an app publisher's data through their developer account credentials (e.g. iTunes Connect or Google Developer Console), meaning they can upload their data to our dashboard and access it easily, reliably and confidentially.
What advice would you give to help make new independent app developers more successful?
You're quite right - there's more to app store success than just using App Annie products! It's a good start, but it's not the whole pie. The best advice we can give is to combine a rigorous approach to data with a passion for creating unique and joyful user experiences. The most successful app developers we've seen have combined those two things into the core of their team philosophy. And they've got that balance right. The data tells you what's going on, but it's not your sole objective. App developers should never lose sight of the fact that they exist to create moments of joy for people downloading these apps, whether they are games, social apps or photo apps. And it's those moments of joy that generate downloads, revenues, in-app purchases, Top 10 ranking positions and through-the-roof virality. The data just helps you get there, but it should never become your be all and end all goal.
Related to the above, in your mind what makes an app successful? Why do some "great" apps not get noticed?
Product idealists would have you believe that you can just make a great app, and the rest is history. To be honest, there's a fair bit of truth in that. However, one cannot underestimate the importance of app store research and app store marketing.
Why app store research? No successful content creator makes content in isolation. In the same way that a fashion designer has their pulse on whether pink is the new black, an app developer should have their mind on what apps are exploding in the US compared to Japan. That's exactly why we created Store Stats - to provide a free tool for anyone to do that research and find their niche.
Why app store marketing? One needs to be very mindful of the structure of the app store as a content distribution mechanism compared to say the web or TV. Some would describe it as a meritocratic rankings system that puts great content in the hands of hungry app downloaders. The reality is that it means you're going to need to adapt your marketing strategy from the one that you were used to in the web days. There are a number of channels driving app discovery - rankings, app search, web search, user virality, social distribution etc. If you're finding your great app is just not getting noticed, then you need to analyze how well you've invested in these channels and figure out whether your defined target audience actually has multiple opportunities to download your app.

I say all antiviruses on android are pointless. Android isn't really affected by viruses to be honest. If there are viruses, it would be on your memory card and you need a pc for that. This is my opinion though. Never had any viruses on any of the androids i've owned so far

The secret is that android itself is a virus, it makes its users crave updates and they begin to dribble, get irritated and have arguments when they see possible new features on the horizon.

Imo you only need a virus scanner if you have realy no idea what you are doing and have the check mark "install untrusted apk" in security settings set .or you use a 3rd party app store. I think it is safe to assume that Google checks their app market for obscure apps.
When installing a new app just check the properties it may use, e.g. a background image supplier app should have no need to dail numbers or send texts, use your personal information etc.
Other than that, the avg supplied is bloatware / scareware and just a trail for 30 days.
I have the worst virus scanner on my PC (ms secueity essentials) it gives the impression of blocking the really bad stuff but doesn't eat all your resources as eg avg or McAfee does.
As long if you know the differents between a softonic installer and the real application you are fine
Cut the crap y'all. See the professional analysis here http://www.av-test.org/en/antivirus/mobile-devices/android/january-2015/ and decide for yourself.

Hiya,
I guess its debatable like task killer?
it really depends on what is defined as "anti virus" and what is "trusted"
are popular social network apps trustable? =p

Task Killers are NOT debatable, Google gave an official and final response years ago by explaining how memory management works on Android. I have a task killer, but I only use it manually to kill certain apps, not to free memory aka RAM but to prevent high CPU usage.
Anti-Viruses are always reviewed by the professionals, see the links I posted above.
Nothing on the Internet is trustable. Haven't you heard of NSA's PRISM program and other related stuffs exposed by Whistle-blower; Edward Snowden?

That's because Android malware are still rare and it's a warning because most users are novice users.

Any normal person knows by now, that many internet professionals are helpless when facing real problems.
And BTW, I am a *real* professional, the smartest of the smartest because my mother told me so.

When you click OK, things may start happening. Google "stagefright".
However, if you have all the security patches, the risk is low.
And then again, the real viruses are something that anti-virus programs do nothing about. If you are important enough, your camera, your mic will be monitored despite of all the anti-viruses you would like to install.
You do not need to use anti-virus software, if you use Google Browser with warnings enabled, if you have disabled MMS and if you do not install programs outside of Google Play.

Av-Test is a reputable organisation. Whether you consider them 'professional' or not is none of my concern. Have fun running an 'antivirus' app on Android. I'm done here.

Yes, they are reputable. And the results can be bought like with many German based reputable organizations. Like VW, Auto-Build (tyre-reviews) or (Bundesliga match making scandal).
The problem is not whether android phones need antivirus programs. Mostly they dont't. The problem however is if you can blindly believe organizations because they are "professionals".
And please, be done, don't reply, fly away, "captain".
Hi All!
I'm quite new android games developer. I'm looking for developers community feedback on my first "serious" project.
So, as I'm keen on brain teasers I wanted to create some puzzle game. I've started my research and found out one of old style games called Freeways. So I thoutght that I can improve it from design and car behaviour perspective.
For last couple of weeks I have few thousands of downloads but very few feedback!
And I don't know should I upgrade it further or there is no chance to find my audience....
I've spent like 1 year to make it and absolutly dissapointed that there is now feedback from players. Should I start another project? Another 1 year?
Please advise... Thank you in advance!
Link to my game is here:
Motorways mind logic puzzles - Apps on Google Play
Stack the states in brain teaser IQ puzzle. Memory & thinking car traffic maze.

WYSIWYG.
Feedback, yes well here you go...
Looks like a data miner to me
No reason to know my precise location or browser history, share with 3rd parties or for me not to have the option to delete collected data.
I wouldn't even install it... based on that alone.
The games I have are all firewall blocked
My favorite apps have zero permissions and never request internet service. They are also some of the best.
Hi Blackhawk! That's a feedback already. This is set up of ads mediation I'm using. Probably it stops other users aswell. Probably I need to find another mediator

I know you want sponsorship and to generate revenue. I can understand that. It's a tough business. Poweramp has a good business model and is one of my few gladly paid for apps. A lot of bang for the buck and nothing comes close to it for a stand alone music player.
Unfortunately from a user prospective that degree of data mining is potentially harmful. Personally I won't tolerate it... no app is worth that. All social media and shopping apps are banned from my devices. Done that for a decade now. One of the first things I targeted when I started using Androids.
