You need root to use the app that let's you charge via your stereo.

Change usb mode..
It won't charge in one of the 2 modes.
You need to connect as mass storage if I'm not mistaken.

It's a different story in a pc. A lot of car stereos have no or only a limited mtp implementation
Also
Your app probably makes changes the way your phone connects, and therefore it might be it is possible it will charge correctly

I'm talking about in car mate, our Vauxhall Vivaro vans have the usb input into them. I don't use an app either, just plug n play. Same with my Ford Fiesta.

Sorry mate I mixed your reply with an earlier post from someone else.
Well maybe your lucky, but mine only charges in one of the 2 usb modes.
I don't use the usb in my car stereo anymore since I stream it now via Bluetooth.while its actively charging in my DIY car dock charger. Charges a lot faster than trough stereo usb

Ah fair shout. I was wondering It's slow as hell to charge so I got myself a Powerbank and stream, as you do, via bluetooth. Much easier. Cables suck haha.

A silly doubt :
I have a 3G USB Modem, is there any way I can use them with my Z using any OTG Cable? This doubt occured, as most android tablets (even local made cheap ones) support this feature and am pretty concerned will my Z support or not?

I don't believe it will, try it there's harm in testing it out.
If it's just a plug and play usb wireless internet dongle it'll work.
But if you need to login through a Windows app or something then it won't.
Yes some Chinese and local tablets do work..

Thanks for the help!
Oh i see, and yes it needs password authentication from a windows app!

Its is possible to our phone to connect to VGA monitor or projector?
Using any adaptor or port?
Or is there any app needed?
Note no computer needed to display our phone to monitor.

So can we get it done using pc??
Sent from my GT-I9070
use remote control with wifi
Connection to vga monitor would be probably if phone has mhl with mhl<->hdmi and hdmi<->vga adapters, but this solution may not work.
Samsung Galaxy S Advance doesn`t have mhl, and there is no way to directly give video output on vga/dvi/hdmi screen.
Hello mates
Since i cant find a USB-OTG cable in my country does anybody know a way to connect the controller without it?
Thanks in advance

You'll need a paid app for that, plus root.
Sixaxis Controller
Instructions are detailed in the app itself, but basically you can set the pairing master mac address on the controller via USB to the PC and have the cell phone identify the controller wireless.

Yeah, it works as intended, lagless. I used it when I was on a CM based rom, which lacked the Sony thing. It did well.
Buy it on eBay dude, it cost like US$5 plus Free Shipping.. You can do that money with Whaff app (already cheked out like US$150 with Whaff). I bougth cover case, NFC tags, BT joystick, headphones, XBOX 360 games...

cant use a wireless controller, the plug and charge kit is only for charging, there is no data sent over the cable. you need a wired usb controller to have it working. or the wireless adapter may work, not entirely sure on this phone :/
Oh snap just paid 15$ for nothing ;/

If I understood you correctly, your device becomes slow if you connect your usb charger?
Are you using a custom ROM?
is not slow, when I pull the quick settings panel the phone does not respond well. I am using the nightly cm11 16/08. Thank you
