I've been trying to unlock my phone using moonshie. My phone is completely stock.
Before starting I installed the drivers using the myhtc, once i had the drivers I unistalled it. I run moonshine, when it boots in to the bootloader(step 2) in just stops because the computer doesn't recognize my phone. After I just powered of my phone and went into fastboot(holding the power and volume down buttons and choosing fastboot). I plug in my phone, windows makes the sound when you plug in a usb devices, so i know its reading it. Then do an "adb devices" command but my phone doesn't show up. I go in to device manager but i don't see my phone under usb devices. I go into "devices and printers" and a category "unspecified" and "Android 1.0" is there, so i open it and decide to update the drivers(I have the htc driver files to update the drivers manually) but it tells me that the drivers are up to date. This is all while being in fastboot. I tried with two different usb cable and i get the same results. Any help/tips would be appreciated.

correction, i did some reading and moonshine will unlock your bootloader if it is restricted by htcdev(what ever that means)but it won't work if you are on the new software update, revone, i think will still work on new firmware.go to moonshine.io

Thanks, I tried revone, the first time i tried i got error-6. Read it was a common problem and to just keep trying, so i waited about half an hour and tried again. This time i got a mapping error, tried several times after that and it gives me the same problem. Thats why i tried moonshine.

Hi,
Little problem in here. I've got tried to update IncS but something went wrong and I'm here.
Phone after boot goes straight into the bootloader like in pic.
Is there any solution to make it live?

A little problem here; you did not give us enough information on what exactly you were doing to your IncS.
It appears you may have been trying to run the S-Off downgrade procedure or you simply tried to run and flash an older RUU?
At this point my suggestion would be to go to HTCDEV.com and download the last and final ICS RUU for the IncS and use that to get your phone back to a working state.
tried to s-off and failed
Device is't not recognized after boot into bootloader by RUU
is there is needed any drivers or sth?

When you ran the Gingerbread RUU to achieve S-OFF, I assume there was an error code of some sort (ex. Error 131 or 170 or something). Can you please tell us which error code it was?
In the meantime, please download the latest and must recent ICS update from HTCDEV.com as tpbklake advised. I'm sure you need a phone to use.

Ok, if you tried to S-Off, then you missed the very first step. Since you have hoot version 2.02.0002, the first thing you must do it UNLOCK the boot loader using the procedure at HTCDEV.com.
Since your HBOOT screen shows a LOCKED status, that means you didn't even do that step. Otherwise your HBOOT status would show either UNLOCKED or RELOCKED.
If you follow the unlock procedure at HTCDEV.com you will end up with all of the correct drivers you need.
Unlock bootloader procedure is stuck on the selecting yes/no in the phone. I can't select yes... "no" option goes ok, "yes" - cant accept.
When pressing the power burton few moments; phone vibrates only.
Any1 got this problem?

When you select yes/no did u use the hardware keys because it should work.
everythig is ok, I can switch between yes/no without aby problem but only no is able to be accepted. Then it's rebooting and stuck on bootloader again.
Is there any difference about the PC? Maby I should try with other computer? os?
Actually i'm working on Asus laptop with Win7 64bit

Make sure you are using a USB 2.0 port and not a USB 3.0 port.
I've tried with other PC, this time on WinXP, the same result. The only thing I can't do is selecting YES when phone asking about unlock bootloader.
I've no idea what to do..
---
When trying to update RUU, windows says "Device not recognized" after rebooting to bootloader. Any idea what's wrong?
---
And one more question. Is there any difference if I choose other region of IncS? I mean WWE or Asia or Hutchison? Maby there is the problem with accepting bootloader unlock?

No that wouldn't make a difference because the unlock token that your phone generated is what is used to generate the unlock.bin file, not the region you picked.
The device not recognized usually indicates a driver problem. Did up install the HTC drivers on the XP machine?
Finally, maybe the reason you cannot select YES is because the unlock.bin that was generated with a bad unlock token.
You might want to try and regenerate the unlock token and get a new unlock.bin.
In device manager phone detected as My HTC. New unlock code gives same result as old one.
Is it a brick?

Ok, do you have the HTC Sync app running on your PC? If so, uninstall the app, but leave the HTC drivers installed.
Also you never did say whether you we're using an official HTC USB cable or not.
You are not bricked. You can always download the official ICS RUU/ROM from HTCDEV.com and use that to get your phone operational again.
I know but how to do that with that phone?
I've got Desire HD also and there is no problem with detecting it in adb. IncS - not.
Tried also to create goldcard and update with PG32IMG.zip form latest RUU_VIVO_ICS_35_S_TWM_TW_4.10.921.1_Radio_20.74.30.0833U_3831.18.00.11_M_release_266252_signed and gets stuck like on the pic then reboot.

Are you the original owner of this phone? If not, where did you purchase it and was it operational before you attempted to S-Off?
Yes, it's my old contract phone... and it worked before as well.

No, not since you now have HBOOT version 2.02.0002.
The XTC Clip only worked on the IncS with HBOOT 1.09 and below.

I had one more thing your could try when you attempt to run the unlock.bin.
Once the screen comes up where you try to select YES, have you tried disconnecting the USB cable to see if that would allow ou to select YES?
Ok, thanks for help anyway.

Problem solved. I've just formatted HDD and installed fresh Win7 then RUU program worked smooth as well. Now phone runs new ICS.
I don't know what caused that issue but I'm happy that finally phone started.
so heres what happen
download Andriod revolution for the sprint htc one
it reloaded and went to the bootloader screen I didn't know what happened so I reboot the phone from the bootloader
it went back the bootloader and then without thinking I used the ruu and it relocked the bootloader and didn't even restore the phone so
now I'm stuck with a phone that's stuck on the bootloader screen with it locked and no usb debugging or recovery
is there a way to unlock the bootloader still or atleast enable usb debugging from cmd ? I still have the unlock.bin from the last time I unlocked the bootloader
any idea no phone for me until then

The problem was that there is no android revolution for the HTC one. You flashed an international Rom on the sprint variant and so it messed the phone up. You can still unlock the bootloader through the HTC website as before. Check the General section for the guides and the Q&A section to post your problems.
Also, check which RUU you used. Was it from the Sprint HTC one board or the general HTC one board?
I forget that typing in HTC one on the search brings general htc one forum anyway ...
I know how to unlock the bootloader but usb debugging isnt enabled and I don't have an os to enable it
Even tried the all in one to push the bootloader unlock and it just stays saying waiting for device

Yeah so like the others said use fastboot to re unlock the bootloader, and by the way if you dont have s-off it will be harder to restore it, but if its the case, I would recommend just flashing a recovery and then pushing a rom and flash that. Hope that helps
Oh and always remember as long as you can access fastboot from the bootloader there is always a way to fix a software issue (for the most part)
I still have S-OFF and just tried the command "fastboot flash unlocktoken unlock_code.bin"
Its been saying waiting for device for the last 10 mins .

UPDATE:Forgot i already tired this since i have the RUU on my desktop. Device Failed Enumeration is my biggest issue one post says he fixed the issue but doesn't state how. The Error shows up with any htc in fastboot i tried deleting htc sync and all its addons from Add/Remove and it didnt help.So currently only think standing in the way of restoring the unlocked bootloader is the fact windows 8.1 keeps blocking the connection and Ubuntu doesnt either work with rooting for me or just because i dont know how to use it :cyclops:
hi
i tried rooting my phone and somehow ended up messing up
now my phone only boots to bootloader... cant do factory reset (-it bring me back to bootloader)
it says "tampered, relocked" and sometimes "security warning"it seems i don't have software on it i looked up and people say i need to flash original software but my phone dose not mount as mass storage.. and even if it did i did not find the software please help !!!!
device:sprint htc one
Download the RUU from here http://www.htc.com/us/support/news.aspx?p_id=629&p_name=htc-one-sprint

i'm having trouble flashing the new viperone 3.5 ROM. I flash it and get stuck at the HTC screen, any help would be nice.
Hello everyone,
I bought an HTC one off ebay, having in mind I would flash custom rom on the device which I prefer for obvious reasons. But each time I open Hasson2000 Tool to get ID token I get this error in command prompt below:
*daemon not running. starting it now on port 5037 *
*daemon started successfully *
'error: device offline
I have tried searching for solutions but I cant get one to actually fix my own issue, I do know the HTC bootloader has been unlocked and rooted because I can boot to bootloader menu, boot to recovery mode and on top on the screen it says *****TAMPERED***** just below it says ***UNLOCKED*** I figured the previous owner tried locking bootloader before selling it off.
I noticed other commands dont work like reboot device on the tool probably because of that error or my htc is not recognised am not sure. am running Windows 8.1 Pro on my laptop.
What I have done so far
Rebooted phone several times
Rebooted my laptop several times
Unplugged and plugged in usb cable
Used different usb ports it recognises my htc because I can view my SD card or transfer files between laptop and phone.
Please guys I neeed your help with this, thanks.

Depending on the carrier the device was made for and the one you use, OTA updates may not be an option. If it is a carrier device then updates will be pushed OTA from the OG carrier. IF you use a different carrier then you wont get OTA. And to be honest they are over rated and cause more issues then anything else.

What about using the command prompt instead of a toolkit? No disrespect to Hasson2000, but toolkits aren't ideal imo
In most cases, ''device offline'' is caused by an outdated version of the android sdk or a bad usb cable/usb port (btw use usb 2.0 ports).
Also in windows devices manager, your phone must be listed as Android usb device ---> My HTC. If not, you have drivers issue.
If your phone still boot normally, just copy the rom inside the sdcard, reboot in recovery and install it. I will highly suggest you make sure adb and fastboot works correctly before as they will be required if something goes wrong when installing the custom rom. Also make a nandroid backup of your current config before flashing the rom and make a copy of that backup on your computer.

I downloaded another Android Debug Bridge version 1.0.31
So I have had an HTC One m7 for about a year now, but I got a warranty replacement in the mail because the mic broke. I've been trying to unlock and S-off the new phone, but I can't seem to be able to do it. I have tried using the rumrunner S-Off, but I get an error. I've tried flashing TWRP, but whenever I try to flash the recovery, I get an error that says "<remote: signature verify fail>" when it checks the signature. I've tried flashing CWM instead of TWRP, reinstalling drivers and everything, but nothing works. The phone is the Verizon version of the m7 running Android 4.4.2 with Sense 6. Is there any way to get this to work?
Also, when I plug the phone into the computer it always comes up with the "installing device drivers" popup, and then will usually fail installing the Mass Storage and MTP drives because it says the phone was unplugged, even though it wasn't

It could be helpful to say which error exactly...

Looks like you are trying to flash the recovery with a locked bootloader...

How do I unlock the bootloader then? All the tutorials I can find just say to use something like rumrunner or just say to flash the recovery

Suggest you try the Verizon HTC One Forum, they are more familiar with your phone.

You need s-off to unlock the bootloader, (because verizon phones cant be unlocked from htcdev.com). Try any other method described in the verizon forum, i.e firewater s-off. You can't flash the recovery with a locked bootloader.
