Note 2 battery cover which covers the aluminium part also - Galaxy Note II Accessories

Does anyone know any note 2 case that can replace the battery cover and can cover the aluminium sides also ?............. I am talking abt a case that clips on like a battery cover. Its not practically hard to manufacture a case like that,I am hoping there are cases out there like that.

Zerolemon battery. The case is the cover.
Otherwise... No.

That's a bumper case. It doesn't replace the battery door like he asked. It just goes over the top.

I'll let you know in two days. I was looking for a slim bumper for when I go running and don't want the weight of my ZL on my arm.
But in the meantime, look at the pictures on the full website. There are no tabs where that case will click in where the battery door is.
If you already have it, let me know otherwise.

It doesn't attach to the small tabs on the phone itself
The samsung case is just a case, it doesn't attach to the small tabs on the back where the battery cover would normally be attached to

And as I said, it does NOT do what the OP asked.
Without the battery cover on, there is a noticeable space between this case and the battery.
I just put the case on my phone and here's the deal:
It's a glossy, thin, hard case with soft rubber around the edge, bumper style.
The holes and buttons line up perfectly and access to the S-pen is great.
Protection? Not so much.
This makes a slippery phone more slippery. I naturally alternate using the phone with either hand, so lefties or righties will have no problem holding the phone by the soft rubber part so that the phone doesn't go flying out of your grip.
But sit the phone down and it's likely to slide away. On it's own. Or a stiff breeze. Or if a stray electron hits it. Give it a nice spin and watch it go, and go, and go (Which is what I just did.)
The lip. It has next to none. So little in fact, that my tempered glass screen protector sits at the same height as the lip. If I sit the phone face down, the glass is on the table.
So while I've been writing this, I've been walking around the house holding the phone. I've almost dropped it twice.
All in all, it's a pretty case, offers no drop protection and no screen protection. I wouldn't recommend it unless the only reason you want it is to protect the edges of your phone.

Metal bumper case question.. For those who own one.

Does your metal bumper case have a slight raise from the side to prevent scratches to both front and back especially the camera lens?
Do you think it would fit with a slim case?
Please post a link where you bought it.
Thank you very much and pardon my engrish!

If you worry about the back, maybe you can just buy a spare battery cover from eBay. I got 2 and they are about 8 dollars each and they are both with nfc

I bought one a couple of weeks ago. I think the aluminium case gives good screen protection, but although it is reasonably low profile the few millimetres each side do seem to make the Note 2 feel much bigger. I personally don't think it's the most elegant case, they look OK from the front, but the back doesn't seem to follow the flow of the stock battery case too well.
Don't get me wrong, the phone fits in perfectly without any movement but not my cup of tea. I lose one bar on the phone signal when the case is on, NFC is fine.
Possibly a like or hate accessory!
Thanks for all the replies. That was my main concern. I wanted a metal bumper case that has a slight rise to protect the camera lens. I'm going to buy a ballistic 3 layer protection case since GN2 can be easily damage even at waist height drop.
Why ballistic? Because its relatively cheap, unlike otterbox and offers awesome drop protection. Had one for E4GT and money worth spending.
Thanks again.

i use that one. slight raises on the front and back to protect the camera. It adds a little weight to the phone but its not unbearable. I actually like it. I also got the armror suit military shield screen and back protector. Screen protector was not compatible with the case, cause when I removed the phone from the case, the sliding portion of the front peeled the screen protector off. and the added thickness of the armorsuit full body protector makes it very snug in the case. probably the reason why it the screen protector peeled off as I was trying to remove it.

I'd hate to use the bumper case where you need a small screw to open (i think I saw a bumper case like that once).

If theres any UK users in this thread that wants a black aluminium bumper for free then let me know and PM me your address. I bought one to try along with a selection of cases but am unlikely to use it. Its a great fit for the phone and is a screwless design.......the front plate slides up and snaps into place. Looking for sturdy case but with a screen "flap"

I'm looking for a case with great protection like the gumdrop/active case.
I dont want to have to use the "thick" screen protector that comes with those cases, I want to use a "flap" so that when I'm not using it I close it, and when I want to use it I get the "real" screen.
I know there hard cases with a closing flap but I want the protection of the thicker/softer rubber. I know the active case has a "lid", but I want it to be like a smartcover.
However I don't want a briefcase like the pelican.
I can't be the first person to be searching for a product like this?
Thanx!

Yes I saw that guide but I am really loking for a bit more protection than the original cover.
Would also like to be able to Lock it in place so that it doesn't open in my backpack!
Also from the looks of it, the gumdrop/active case will keep there shape and not start losing there shape after being broken in!
Strange, I would thought that this is what most people would want to have?
The Speck FitFolio has great protection and the top flap latches securely.

Yes that looks like a good one, but not sure how much the hard plastic will help against a corner landning...
There's a thread here somewhere with someone making the case you want out of two others. A tpu case and the flap from one like the speck.
What about the book-like cases mentioned in some of the threads here? Where the tablet gets mounted in a wooden frame (these all seem to be eco friendly) and the "book cover" part is cloth (covered cardboard I'd guess keeping with the eco friendly theme) that acts just like a flap that you're looking for.

I don't think I could get use to a Lifeproof case and I would probably end up scratching the transparent plastic on the Lifeproof or wearing out the headphone and usb port covers. I would much rather use something like a SealLine eSeries pouch for when I need some protection against the elements. With a SealLine, I can easily take it out and put it back in.
I saw these cases for the S3 and iPhone. I wish I had one for the Note 2. I know it would make the device fat fat fat, but to protect it from literally EVERYTHING is a small price to pay! hehe. My Note was a present for me, and I'd love to keep it in perfect condition and sometimes you can't avoid it.... until you get one of these cases.

My wife hasn't worn out hers yet, though she usually doesn't carry it around with the headphone port in place. I really like her lifeproof case for the iPad! Instead of putting on a separate screen cover, they just put an o-ring around the screen. If they did make a case for the note they'd probably do this so we don't scratch up a plastic cover.

Best rugged case for note 2

Looking for opinions on most protective case. Defender seems like the best but the screen protector....and hearing about dust getting in between it and the screen is a little disconcerning. I used a seidio active case on my thunderbolt and loved it, dropped on concrete several times and faired very well. But after recently breaking few months ago and seidio not wanting to replace it like they used to...kind of left a bad taste in my mouth and I dont know if I want to go back to them. That's what she said. Please let me know your opinion. Thanks!

Although I don't have the note2. I have an s3 and I have the otter box defender. I couldn't get the oil slick look to go away so I just took the built in screen protector out. It just pops right out. I have my full screen protector on there anyway to its still fully protected.
Sent from my SCH-I535 using xda premium
Ya that's what im thinking. Just thinking... should I buy it then immediately break the case by ripping out the built in protector. It just feels weird to break something so expensive on purpose lol. Then, does the adhesive that was holding it on cause an issue or removing the protector cause the case rigidinity to be compromised?
Sent from my SCH-I605 using Tapatalk 2
If you can wait 3-4 weeks the uag http://www.urbanarmorgear.com/products/black-note-ii-case
But if you need it now then go for the otter defender or commuter.
Also, if removing screen protector from defender is there still benefit(s) to using that case versus an otterbox commuter? Being that there is an included screen protector versus built in already.
Sent from my SCH-I605 using Tapatalk 2
Rigidity shouldn't be compromised, and from what I read people use hair dryer to heat up the edge of the screen for a glue to soften, thus doing a clean removal of the screen. Glue supposed to roll off easily when its hot.. But you have to keep in mind, Otterbox gives you 1yr warranty if something happens to the case. If something breaks or gets damaged and you need to replace it, they will ask your original case back (I called them up to verify it) and even if you going to glue the screen back - there is a chance they will see it and might use it against you. I personally didn't want to take my chance, so I'm returning my Defender back.
Ya I was worried about breaking/enhancing this case for this reason. What did you end up going with?

I have two cases for my Note 2: a Seidio Active case, and, as of this morning, an Otterbox Defender. Both have their pros and cons. The Seidio is more comfortable in the hand, and quite a bit slimmer, but the soft rubber inner case peels away from the phone too easily and all sorts of nasty scratchy stuff can get underneath it. It also has a handy little kickstand. The Defender is bloody huge, and for me at least, not as comfortable to hold. But it really does feel bombproof. The inbuilt screen protector isn't wonderful, but it works ok. Just needs an oleophobic coating.
As for which is best, I guess it depends how much you think you're going to throw your phone around

Throw? Never, unless onto the bed across the room. Its more of, late night out drinking and drop it from like 5 feet high on to concrete... that kind of scenario. Siedio for tbolt held up well for that did break the case eventually but phone still doesnt have a scratch. But yes, thank you for mentioning comfort, because if it never slips out of your hand... you never drop it. Looking for something grippy if possible, but that is second on my list to overall protection of course.

They are both grippy. The Defender is just a bit too big to hold comfortably. I guess that's the joy of better protection. Ironically, the Defender is possibly more likely to be dropped, not because it slips from your hand, but because it's likely to snag when you try to take it out of your pocket.
I'm going to stick to the Defender for now, although I will remove the screen protector. I use Liquid Armour on the screen and this pretty much negates the need for a plastic cover on the screen.

I had a commuter on my iphone, and it was dreadful. It didn't fit well, and really didn't feel like it would provide any degree of protection at all. And protection was rather important with all that glass! Binned it after a few days and ended up with a Taktik case (kickstarter thing). But I digress.
Apart from my iphone experience, I would say the Seidio case is better than the Commuter. It will give as much protection, and look and fit better.

Samsung Protective Bumper Cover Plus Case - feedback please

Does anyone have this one? I had a bumper on an iPhone previously and liked how it gave it some grab when I set it down on a table. But also gives some protection while keeping it closer to naked.

Is it pretty thin? Also, is the bumper flush with the case on the back? I had a Belkin one on my games horrible.
Don't have it myself, but heard it scratches and very slippery.
I have this case and it's great. My coworker has the black one and it does scratch quite easily and is noticeable, but I have the white one, so it's not too bad. It's slim and protects the screen well. It's not as nice as the OEM S3 one but it works well and matches nicely.
I currently use the black one. It has a great design because the back is glossy which helps you slide the phone in and out of the pocket with ease and offers protection with minimal bulk. You can also put the screen face down without worry of scratching the screen. The buttons are also covered by the bumber so you dont need to worry about the buttons wearing down from moisture.

Just to let you know, if you don't already, that this is more of a case than a bumper. Everyone keeps throwing around the word bumper. This case does have a back. It is not a bumper in the sense that it only surrounds the sides of the phone.

Yes. Thanks for clarifying in the thread though. I'm going to give it a try and will report back. I'm not a fan of cases in general, but I dropped my last s3 and it was forever scarred with a scrape on the corner of the bezel.
Seems like it would be cool of Samsung made it so you removed the oem back and then attached the bumper case using the clips. Vs adding a second back.
