I would like to know this so I do not waste my time.

If you have any doubt's go check the specs from each carrier but I'm pretty sure a case from ATT's Moto X will fit Verizon's no problem.

It will work. Casing is the same on all Moto X. Just different carrier logo.

crackling sound

does your verizon wireless moto x have a crackling sound on the back cover when you press down on or near the verizon wireless logo? just curious as I am within my 14 days ...
Thanks
Unfortunately, Yes. Seems to be a quality issue with the ones made in the US (or something like that) But from what I've heard, the MotoMaker Moto X aren't having the problems.
I have on the micro sim slot
I have that sound in the 16gb vzw white moto x
Nope.

No. I have a vzw MotoMaker version that I received yesterday.
I just got the Moto X this week from Verizon and noticed this as well. Came across this thread, glad I'm not the only one. Not too happy about it. Did the OP go in and have the device replaced?
Also happening on my VZW developer edition. I'm annoyed about it but also learned to live with it now.

I guess since it's allowed on the iphone, people don't really care, so they thought why not do it for all the phones. ATT does it will all their phones.

Going from verizon to att isn't much of a difference. I guess you should have gone with tmobile if you didn't want carrier branding or bloatware. The tmo moto x has nothing.

Well you could have bought the tmobile moto x and used it on ATT. It comes sim unlocked. Anyway, I'll try not to make you feel worse

Opinions Needed!

Hi everyone. I currently maintain the bounty thread for the Moto X. As I am unsure of its future I have ordered a Moto X Pure Edition. I am currently an unlimited VZW customer, however, I am wondering if what you guys think I should do.
I could keep the unrooted VZW Moto X or use the Pure Ed. with only VZW LTE coverage. What are your thoughts?
Come on really?

I'm not following.
Oh my
Pure edition will only work with TMO or ATT

And why would you order the pure and not know if you were going to use it anyway. Maybe ask this before placing the order.

Upon bootup it shows LTE and then briefly afterwards it shows no network. Guess the decision has been made for me.

hardware, it physically cannot support those frequencies.
Not true it does support all Verizon bands however Verizon will not authorize those meids for the pure additions to be activated on their network

It supports all LTE and (3/4?) UMTS bands, but not the CDMA ones. Therefore it depends on the distribution of infrastructure in your area is and which towers your phone can see.
But...just left a Verizon store being told the system said no to the MEID. Debating spend a couple hours on the phone trying to escalate tech support levels until someone might whitelist my MEID in some way. Then again, I got this phone because both Verizon and Motorola refused to unlock the bootloader of a phone I had purchased outright...

Verizon Moto X 1st gen -> UK

So I'm a newb here, but I'm wondering if it's possible to take my locked Verizon Moto X 1st generation phone, and convert it so that it will a) be GSM unlocked, and b) will pick up LTE bands in the UK.
GSM unlocked out the box and only if it's the same bands of att lte

UK uses different bands. Doesn't this thread suggest it's possible to add different bands? http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s5/general/how-to-add-rf-lte-frequency-bands-to-t2886059
That is a phone with an entirely different chipset,

Sure, but according to that thread, it should work on any Qualcomm device, and someone had success doing that process on a Moto G, so I thought it might also work on Moto X.

My main concern is a custom ROM and kernel, is your bootloader unlocked?

I have done none of the steps, yet. Mostly I'm trying to gauge if it will be possible on a Verizon device since I didn't order an unlocked phone initially.
Verizon LTE device are sim free out the box so that is taken care of next step is rooting and roming
