Here is a flashable zip that should integrate beats audio to any GB ROMs, I flashed it over my own Morrisoft Gen 0.7, no bootloops yet. I am currently at a pretty noisy location, cant tell much difference.
The scripts in the zip does not do anything other than copying over the system files, so any ROM devs can just copy it over to their ROMs
Edit: New version with Xloud I have not tested this yet, use with caution
See the original post
Please do make sure to ask for permission to the developer of the MOD if you can use this for your ROM.
Happy deving

I certainly did read it lol I just thought I'd ask.. I flashed the Photon 4G beats audio which has been tested on CM7 and CM9 and I am notice a significant difference using my full metal jacket Skullcandies.
My ear had an orgasm after I installed this. The sound quality is amazing now! You don't even need the equalizer that comes with the DSPmanager now
This is just a dsp manager. Its just balanced a different way to make bass heavy music sound better.

Exactly, but hey, certain types of people from the gene pool are buying it! Lol

Beats audio + Dsp manager sucks
Dont do it. Stick with dsp.
well with my headphones (triplefi10) it sounds awfull...
I read somewhere that you need good headphones to hear the differences, but this is more for bad/medium headphones, to compensate the lack of sound, but its better to custom tune the EQ to match your headphones.
If you have good headphones stick with flat or custom EQ.
Is there an undo flash for this?

I tried this with some bossa nova, bass sounds bloated and undefined now... it just goes up and starts EDIT:messing with the mids. If you know about sound I would recommend you keep away from the mod. If you have skullcandies or beats headphones install away.
Mod please delete per our conversation. Thank you
Is it possible it may work on other roms? Either way this is awesome thanks!

I tried it on a broken beats Rom - Joelz TwoPointThree 3.5.
It flashed, the boot initially took a little longer but I went to try it and no sound. Should I try a different player instead of stock or a different Rom? I was thinking of switching to ICS momentarily because Newts 3.5 has gone broken on me.

Just flashed this on a new flash of the official CM 7.1. I haven't had any trouble with music playing or clipping. Just pure sound. Albeit I did not do a comparison so I cannot say if I hear a difference in quality but I am happy with it and will continue to flash it.
What is really Beats by Dre? Sorry

well if the rom didnt have working sound before its not going to give it to it now. so i guess it needs to be cm7
Can someone else confirm that this works on another GB incredible build???
Why beats?

did you try it?
Can i get a link to the original post? I dont feel like making an account on another site just to get a file.
edit: nm with googles help i found the file, i can confirm it works on miui
Joelz new 3.5 had a broken beats file allowing it to not work. Now I switched to cm7, listened to the music first. Very shotty headphones (ifrogz) as my latest earphones died on me.
The sound was eh.. flashed this beats zip and came back to hear it, the clarity and quality increased so much. Should note there is a tolerable difference when not using headphones as your speaker phone may actually sound like bass. Well at least I can gear it, I will try it on Joelz 3.5 again. Cause there is no notification or anything say it works its difficult to pinpoint if it only works on stock players or various ones.
I am hopefully getting new earphones tonight, JVC Xtreme Explosives is what I'm looking at.

I've been using this mod since I saw it on the portal the other day. (or twitter. I can't remember)
It really does make quite a bit of a difference. For you guys trying it out, use nicer headphones. The difference is marginal on $15 skullcandy buds, but on high end speakers, it's really noticeable. Definitely worth the flash.

Here's the file, no need to register somewhere else....
Just flashed it, does this add a menu entry/some new setting to the interface or no?
Can anyone confirm this working (and making a difference) with Gingerbread-Inc-Deck?

May i send to my ladies phone, sir? I have tested side by side with same phone using same ROMs (CM7 newest nightly) using 115 by Treyarch (yes the Black Ops zombie song) and quite a noticeable difference. Also not sure, but I had tested started with volume at 50% and my phone with the zip was louder by 2 notches (decreased volume to regulate) and her phone at 100% was to mine at 80%. I do not use DSP manager as I get a weird noise from it after any sound from speaker ends. Anyone else experience similar volume performance?
I've had a few android phones, I usually find what I'm searching for, but everything I've found doesn't really make sense.. I know what an aosp kernal means, but how do you go about making one, and how come we don't have one? Surley someone knows what to do?
An AOSP kernel would be useless unless you intend building a rom from source too. AFAIK there are no AOSP roms for the SXL.
We don't have an AOSP kernel, but we're looking for someone to actually make one since our devs don't really have the time.
I know we would need a aosp rom, but isn't that what we want, I hope that sometime soon we will have cm9, I wish I could do it but it's far above me, and I don't have a lot of time either.

Although cyanogenmod starts it's life with the code provided by the Android open source project, the final product is far from AOSP, i don't even think cyanogenmod would boot with a AOSP kernel. But i think were all agreed that we would love an AOSP or Cyanogenmod rom for the XL
Okay mate, cheers for filling me in. Looks like were gonna have to wait for an awsome dev to do it.

The recent 905 update appears to have fixed the insanely loud earbud call volume problem l was having. But I am itching to get off of stock. I've tried eclipse 2.2 and 3.0 as well as kin3tix. All still too loud even after 905 update. Stock is the only one that fixed it and I still have to have it all the way down. Does anyone know of a ROM that has dealt with this issue? Has anyone else had this issue? Haven't tried Liberty yet.

Have you tried applying the Dre's Beats Audio with it. I haven't tried it yet with anything other then Eclipse 3.0 and headphone audio been great.
I thought Beats audio was included in the builds. Headphones sound great and volume adjustment is fine in everything except in call. Whenever I make a call I can't keep the earbuds in my ears unless I want ruptured eardrums.

What's the difference between d Dr Dre Beats Audio and the beats audio cwm installer? The .zip installer sounds like it may gut the stock sound defaults. May be a good thing. What do you think?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using XDA
Thanks for the advice about beats audio. I installed the cwm installer version from Google Play Store. Seems to have worked. Call volume is much lower. I'm back on Kin3tix Theory rom with Honeyscream theme. Highly recommend it BTW. Great looking rom, fast too. I like it a lot more than eclipse 3.0 even though it's based on an older bionic build. Thanks again for steering me in the right direction. Now if only I could get Swype to work on my Kindle Fire.

The CWM version is the only one I would use along with a eq app from playstore to enhance the audio 150% more then stock. The CWM version does replace some lib files in the rom with a inhanced version. None of the roms have it included so it is a good idea to keep the zip file on hand for when you change roms. I just took to plung and installed bootstrap for the first time, always used safestrap, and installed the update through it. Playing Pandora couldn't be any better then this. You don't need to get it from the Playstore its avaible through the forums I beleive under Themes.

Glad to see it worked out for you. Yes I do beleive KIN3TIX is a awsome rom as well, its stupid fast. I just wished DT would come back to work on our devices, but what can one do.
So I'm getting a note 2 very soon and so I'll be using my IncS as a media phone in my car, speakers at parties etc. So what ROMs would you guys recommend with what sounds mods? The reason I ask "what ROM" is because some ROMs support different mods to other ROMs, cheers guys.

AOSP if you want to be flashing mods like awesomebeats and ac!d with equalisers
Viper if you want to use the built in SRS, Dolby or beats. SRS and Dolby on viper is actually dope so I highly recommend those for sound enhancements
If the note 2 has a Wolfson DAC though, I'd be using that
Thanks for that. I'll probably use the note 2 aswell, but my IncS will most likely be the primary sound device.

I find that some actually do. I was amazed when I first used kingbeatz (nexus 7 mod) and iirc it works on the incredible s too. I can't remember taking a phone call though
