It's controlled by a apk in system/app called something like "screencaputuredevice.apk
Rename it or delete it if you don't want the function.

hey so i've broken my menu button after replacing my screen bezel. Is there anyway I can disable my stock messaging app without deleting it without using the menu button?

have you rooted your phone? because there is a root app which shows menu,home and back buttons onscreen, so you dont need to use buttons

i already know that, but i want to use a screen capturing that allows me to use power and volume key instead of home because for example u need to hold down to view photo in snapchat, if u press home button, u cant use touch on screen till u let go of home button

idea for the devlopers

i got an idea to make the z better
if its possible to make the power button a back button when i am inside an app or menu
and when i go back to the home screen the power button will be a lock/power button again
its good if some one make that and add the 3 dots to menus the bottom bar can be removed
