GladiAtrix for OLYFR_U4_1.5.2 v0.3
Deodexed the 1.5.2 SBF and repackaged everything up, including the WiFi and Market fixes. Just like Adeo, you do not need to root first.
Working on getting the reboot/recovery power options, preferred install location, and unknown sources (this now enables sideloading, though) tweaks installed. The new version adds options to root, add the tethering APN, init.d support and sideloading at the same time this installs.
This is only for AT&T phones running firmware version 1.5.2. If you have 1.2.6 please go here: GladiAtrix for 1.2.6 v1

Wait PATIENTLY for it to finish and reboot your phone

Awesome! I've got GingerBlur but I know a lot of people loved using Adeo and with this update it will help. Good work!
Damn son! I wanna try this but I don't wanna start over from sbf. It scares me to brick though. Lemme know how it goes
Sent from Atrix ;-)

There should not be any bricks resulting from this software, the creator just does not want to be held responsible for any mistakes the user may make.

Updated first post with instructions and a little more info. This shouldn't brick you if you do everything correctly.
Also, if anyone has run this and can confirm market or wifi fixes for me, I would definitely appreciate.
It won't work on the Bell Atrix, would it?

I don't really see any reason why it wouldn't. You might get the default AT&T apps loaded (which can just be easily removed through the app management in settings), but I find it hard to believe the apps are that much different. I would probably hold off on it, though. If you want to get me a /system dump from a stock Bell Atrix (there might be one already I haven't really looked), I can deodex it and make a new package for it.

If you tell me how... I would be more that happy to do so.
How to add power menu options. Hope this helps.

doesn't gingerblur already deodexes whatever SBF you have? if so, i don't see the point in this.
Anyway, if you want to enable unknown sources, just download aroot and copy the script from there, it's way easy, it's just a sql statement via sqlite to make it happen.

Not all of us want a themed device. Some of us want to customize it ourselves. :x

Yes it does, but afaik Gingerblur is optimized for 1.2.6, this is for the leaked 1.5.2 SBF. There were more than a few apps that were updated and are much smoother than the 1.4.6 apps (camera for one), so it's a nice option to have. Also, as darkamikaze mentioned, some people don't want the gingerbread theme stuff. I'm working to get this as close to a stock flash as possible, deodexed, with the basic tweaks and functionality addons that everyone can use without changing too much of the phone functionality.
Is this an update the the ones release last week (redux v.02...)? If so can i just install over the redux v.01.7?

No, the other Adeo versions are for the retail SBF (1.2.6) this is for the leaked SBF (1.5.2).
nice,, would like to try
Giving it a try. I haven't come close to flashing my Atrix as much as my Captivate yet.
GingerBlur is giving me some wicked battery life though.
Edit : Maybe some alt download links though. The http://goo.gl/5slwi is killing me.
I'm working on a Rom that i was thinking about Releasiing and it was also my first Gingerbread Rom, i have made a couple froyo roms tho for my personal use and i cant seem to get the updater script working with the updater binary... and ive tried almost eveything i can to do it but i have a mac and the options are limited... if anyone could please help me i have attached the updater scrip to the post so that u can check it out and help me thanks in advance

THIS IS NOT MY WORK! I'M POSTING THIS WITH PERMISSION FROM zeppelinrox
Back in the ancient times (Eclair,Froyo,Gingerbread) the stock android launcher was....Slow to put it nicely. Zeppelinrox wrote a script that changes the oom values inside of android to put the launcher in it's rightful place. No more redrawing launchers weird lagging etc etc. He's done it again for ICS.
This is a little more involved than simply executing a script at boot time though. 4.0 is to Gingerbread what Froyo was to Cupcake! Pretty big differences but if you're up to the challenge then feel free to CLICK HERE http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=991276 and check it out for yourself!
I'm just posting this as an additional bit of information. Dropping in from the MyTouch 4G Forum as I recently got a "broken" vibrant from a customer. (Camera just needed reseating)
Oh boy, I think I'm entering this game! Wish me luck.
Arhg, it's really much to do! Any tutorial? I don't ever know what step I should take first! please, explain us what you did. Thanks!
Say why not attach a patched services.jar
Zeppelinrox, could you please provide us with updated info about the installation process?
I see too many files.

i am using the zenwich beta rom, tried this, but got errors during the script run, so i tried updating the SU binary. I ran into trouble setting permissions on the /system/xbin/su
i was using file expert to change permissions, but i guess that wasn't enough.
does this have to get pushed through adb?
ps, i just flashed the newest zenwich beta...#4, so i have a completely fresh machine.
i also understand that you shouldn't/cant change a file that is in use, aas is the case with the /system/xbin/su
and, does zenwich need this mod?
thanks, 1fd
a patched services.jar would be awesome.
Wouldn't it be....

I'm still learning how to do this myself. I posted this so the developers would be aware of it if they felt like incorporating it into a rom.
I am working to build a rom for the atrix hd. I will attach screenshots. I have built the rom and all but the only problem is that it is on my phone and i need to do a system dump so i can turn it into a flashable .zip. I am using ubuntu 12.04 lts. The rom is built from source and includes the touchwiz interface. Gps works and everything else does too. Will someone help me with the system dump so i can share this rom here on xda.
Nevermind I had some help to dump it but now im making the updater script and will upload the new rom by tomorow afternoon
Hello guys:laugh:
I searched every forum thoroughly but didn't found a proper and working solution for Xperia devices
I am trying to make a custom ROM from stock using dsixda kitchen
I used stock 12.1.A.201 as the base ROM
I believe that it's either the updater script error or kernel probelm as I am using stock kernel and my zip is like this
Data
META-INF
system
boot.img
check_data_app

Next I am getting error status 7
ROM Starts flashing then it comes to this part

I changed kernel with the dipesh1502's ROM but still no luck. Modified Updater script but still no luck. help me I am soo confused and screwed!! :'( :'(
My new Updater-Script
There's a HUGE difference in creating boot animations and creating a ROM.
Don't expect to teach yourself how to make a ROM in just a few days.
It takes, weeks, months, years...
If you're mainly planning to make some exterior changes, which I think you're currently doing, I would focus on making complete themes and not ROMs.
People are not waiting for a ROM which is already available but that looks somewhat different and maybe has some extra or removed apps.
Regarding your problem, I will not be able to help you since I don't have that kind of knowledge.
Anyway, good luck!

Thanks for the reply.
Yeah I know that it's not easy to create ROM and also it takes a lot of time. I am ready to give it a shot
I am just making some small changes just for my sake I'll be using this ROM personally for my own use I know that there are a thousand times better ROM's than mine
Anyway glad you considered my probelm.
Bootloop can be cause by:
- Wrong permissions
- Corrupt installation
It is nice if you collect either the last_ksmg or logcat when bootlooping. (if possible)

Can you please have a look at my new updater-script and tell me what is wrong?
I will surely try to get logcat but before that if you can just analyze this updater-script and pinpoint the mistakes it'll make my work a lot easier.
Thanks in advance :good:
Sent me the entire .zip file instead (but start with updater-script)

Sure thing I'll
I am compressing it to maxium extent using KGB archiver and it'll become around 10~20 mb only
It's still compressing so it'll take some time before it reaches it's max compression.
I'll surely send you asap
