When choosing the RUU for your specific device whats more important..
The software number or the baseband number..
for example my software is 1.29.666.17 and baseband is 4A.14.3250.13_10.33.1150.01L (bell canada)
Can I use this RUU file
RUU_M7_UL_JB_50_hTC_Asia_WWE_1.29.707.3_R_Radio_4A .14.3250.13_10.33.1150.01_release_311678_signed.ex e
As you can see the last numbers are an exact match..
based on this what am i looking for my device
The software is more important. The baseband is just the radio. If you choose a different RUU, you would need to make your CID 11111111, other wise the RUU will fail.
Are you s-off or unlocked, etc?

If you could, boot into bootloader, this will list your CID. Either hold power and vol down or 'adb reboot-bootloader' while the phone is on.

Now i`.m beginning to think im not properly rooted..Cid does not show up in bootloader
Ive tried revone s-off and get a -1 error code..
Trying the moonshine method now.. Did not work as well it says run distiller again and read..
Now, im wondering if this could be because i rooted with HTC dev toolbox...
heres what appears in bootloader
M7_UL PVT Ship S-ON RH
HBOOT-1.44.0000
Radio...
OpenDSP-v26.120.274.0202
Okay so the Write Cid did not work, probably cause im s ON right
Ok, then in bootloader, type 'fastboot getvar all'. You should see CID there

I flashed a custome kernal
My camera is broken now
and I cant get S-Off
If i cant get s - off I cant flash RUU(google play edition or something)..If i cant do that I cant ever get my camera working again because there is NO rUU for bell canada..
Feel my pain here people

i`m currently downloading Venom rom on a limited data plan lol, sooo my fingers are crossed(really)..the venom rom shows a stock kernal, the kernal is the only thing modified on my htc a.t.m, so im really praying that this rom with its stock kernal, fixes the camera..if not I will def try the ones you suggested, although if this doesnt provide a fix, it probably means the other ones won`t either..so I will ultimately have to try a RUU.:good:
Great news The rom was successful in recovering my camera
thank you soo much for all your help, it motivated me to get this back running ))

Hi,
I want to go back to the original Android 4.0 because the different roms I tried all show some problems like apps stuck and stuff. I saved the RUU to my laptop, one which I knew it worked. But when I tried to use it 5 mins ago it said BOOTLOADERVERSION ERROR (translated it to english, don't know if the error is right in English, could be something like Signature error) and that I have to get the right bootloader. I'm currently using AOKP's IceColdSandwich, which RUU do I need to get back to the stock Android?

Hi guys,
I have some issues here.
I planned on rooting my Butterfly S but after unlocking the bootloader and installing a recovery, I formatted by SD card and remounted it. Unfortunately my rom backup didnt work for some reason.
When the phone booted again, I had the HTC welcome screen with the little music and then a black screen with only on top right the network symbol and that's it. I could at first use the bottom button but not connect to the internet.
Now, it's just black.
I restored the stock rom given in this forum, but same result. I then copied the original SDcard directory but nothing has changed. It's black and keep on rebooting.
Any idea of what I could do? The phone is not rooted.
THanks a lot! It makes me anxious!!

And also, is there a RUU available? How much time does it take usually?

I didn't have problems with IMEI after wiping internal SD card, however it's possible that IMEI is lost. Please read this post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=36079357&postcount=1

You can't flash that ruu. Its an unsigned zip for s-off phones. Flash a stock GE rom, flash the stock recovery (you can pull the recovery from that ruu.zip), and lock the boot loader.

I would take a look at this link for information relevant for 4.3. It may be possible to downgrade the hboot to 1.44 and S-OFF then install the GPe ruu.
http://htc-one.wonderhowto.com/how-...one-into-htc-one-with-sense-no-bloat-0148220/
I have not tried this so I do not know for sure, but it may be worth reading the information in the link.
I can't confirm this, as I don't have a GE but I'd say that link is bull. You need s-off to downgrade hboots, and you can't get s-off with hboot 1.54, which the GE shipped with. Since no one in their comment section has got it working I'd say its a no go. Feel free to try though.

---------- Post added at 05:52 PM ---------- Previous post was at 05:49 PM ----------
Also, as I said before, the GE ruu is an unsigned zip made by devs to convert an s-off phone to complete GE. It will accomplish exactly the same thing as flashing a stock GE rom and recovery, since the OP's phone is a real GE and already has the Google firmware. But either way would work, provided you can get s-off. Obviously the solution that doesn't require s-off has a much lower chance of messing things up though...

Hi all, I'm a new user of this forum and I signed up because I'm really getting mad with my phone
Some time ago, I liked to flash custom rooms like MIUI, CyanogenMod, etc... but now I would to restore back my phone to stock rom.
I read a lot of tutorial on internet but nothing is working for me. I get various error with revone and moonshine.
I think I need to restart from the beginning. My mobile is mounting HBOOT 1.54 and it has S-ON.
What should I do to restore to stock rom my mobile? I want also to restore the recovery and other modification I have done during rooting.
Tell me if you need more information.
Thanks in advance .

You have to relock your bootloader if you are s-on. I would just wait for a day or so, 1.54 s-off has been achieved and just waiting on the man to release it. look in the general thread, and throw him a $20.
