Google Services is the wakelock, and this is the main culprit. Keeps the phone awake about 50% of the time.
Have it on insertcoin 3.2-3, trickdroid 10, trickdroid 9.1.
Any idea how to fix this? Almost 2 hours out of the last 3:44

Do you use Google+ Auto backup? It could be an issue with that or syncing galleries
Sent from my Nexus 10 using Tapatalk 4
No I don't. Reinstalled the rom and only installed necessary apps and so far that process isn't there. Will keep testing.
Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk 4
I will add that the process is only there when the screen is off.

Any update? I have the same issue on my stock Nexus 4 4.3
It's gone. My main wakelock is nlp collection, or something like that now, but it's minor, maybe 15-20 minutes a day.

I am having the same issue. I turned off Sync and still no luck. The CacheUpdateService is killing my battery. Anyone have any luck finding the cause?
I was having this issue and after changing my exchange mail from push to 5 minute update I don't have this wakelock anymore.

Had this issue on my G2. After much frustration, i ended up uninstalling google play services with titanium backup, then reinstalling them. To reinstall them, I uninstalled a google play app (google play music in my case) and reinstalled it. The play store then had me install google play services from there.
Sleeping like a baby since.

Is there any method by which i can define my startup android processes on stock rom. There are so many services that i dont use but they are constantly running like i dont use hotmai or gmail app instead i use the stock email app and hs merged my accounts. So beside uninstalling them i want to limit all such messengers and other apps.

You can freeze them using TB or use autostarts or Rom toolbox's auto start manager to disable the receivers which will stop the apps from starting on boot and various other criterias

By flashing a Tizen OS as soon as it becomes available.

Well i bet tizen would be having that feature and you will be the first to switch. You people were among those who boast about and show loyalty to symbian and were the first to switch to android. So its not advicable to negatively propogate about the upcoming stuff without evidence.
I am an optimist and will always be.

Thanks.... It was what I was afraid of... I had to do that to get 4.2.1 working... :'( oh well... Now is when I wish I was routed and had a system backup, I guess there is no point now as I'll just back up this issue..

AW: Can't access Nexus 7 settings post OTA 4.2.2 Update
You could use carbon to back up your apps and settings. Just don't back up any system data. You don't need root for that.
Problem solved.... Google sent me a replacement... Not what I was expecting after 9 months with my prior device... Great service, but leaves me thinking they're aware of the issue hence their prompted and un-solicited suggestion of a replacement... Happy!!

Is anybody having an issue where YouTube shows the chromecast symbol overlaid on the video your trying to watch? It always happens when I'm connected to Bluetooth or have been connected to Bluetooth. I have to force stop the app when it happens.

I posted the same question earlier without a picture (BTW nice pic) and yes it sucks. It happens when I go from portrait to landscape mode and then never goes away from there until you reboot. I sent YouTube a note stating my frustration with this. I understand that it only happens in bluetooth mode but i hope there is a fix for this soon. Very upset

It only happens to me when using Bluetooth. If I turn off Bluetooth and reboot my phone ,all is good

Yes I get this when I'm connected to a bluetooth music streaming device. It's very annoying, I've sent Google 6 feedback emails about fixing it.
It should just be an option in the overflow menu.

Does it work for you now? I can access it just fine. Could have been google servers resetting after the play store was hacked and crashed.

Have you tried connecting through wifi? It took a long time to load up the first time i tried and I had full bars on LTE. Just guessing here since it looks like your signal is not as strong.
I tried wifi also still no success

Here is a list of things you can try to fix the timeout issue. Have you messed with time and date settings? Or daylight savings might have caused a sync error with google servers? Good luck
Ok here is the work around I found if you go to Google play music app info and un install the updates for it . Then go back to Google play store click music it works for me.

i just realized that even after i have disabled google location reporting and location history, google is still syncing them in hidden sync.
i used greenify to reveal hidden sync.
and now i see google is syncing my location with its servers. is this legal?
i tried to opt out "location reporting and location history" sync option. but it enables itself after some time and sync my location :/
can anyone please help me disabling it or force disabling it?
thanks in advatrnce.
