[request] Double click power button to take quick snapshot

Is there a way to map double click on e.g. the power or home button to a activity? I have UVA camera widget on my home screen which immediately takes a picture when pressed without launching the camera app and preview screen and would like to invoke it with a physical button for fast action shots. Any way to accomplish this?

There is an app called double tap home. Search for it. You should be able to assign a function to it. I am on xda app now and its tough to do it

yes u r right... it goes off when the screen is tapped
youre right, i didnt know that the volume window could disappear when you tap next to it on the screen. its good.
but if its possible id prefer a show time delay to avoid to tap on the screen each time i press a volume key. i noticed too that taping on the screen to go the volume window off also does what it should do when you tap on the screen without the window volume, for instance, it could pause a video
is there a way to change the volume show time delay

Nice tip about long pressing the button to get to settings quickly. Thanks
I had already enabled developers options by going to settings, then about and tapping Build Number a bunch of times, but your way is obviously much quicker.
Update:
Just found out that if you long press the home screen you can change watch faces.
For the record - Pressing it 7 times enabled developer tools
