Hi all,
I am looking to install a Samsung Dialer or Google Dialer in my HTC One (M7). I understand we need to root to sideload any apks or install through Zip. Wanted to know if there is a way to do it without rooting?
Thanks
KM

No. You can give up on the Samsung dialer. It needs Samsung framework to work. You can find a few dialers in the play store that are far better then the crappy touchwiz dialera
Hi there guys!
I have a Samsung Galaxy A5 with lollipop. Instead of touchwiz, iIhave the Google Now Launcher which gives the device a stock lollipop appearance. Now I wanted to know if if could get a stock lollipop look on my whole device like the one on nexus devices. The Google now launcher doesn't change my notification panel or my other apps.
So can anyone tell me how to get the default look on my whole device?

Checkout this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-alpha/help/galaxy-a3-a5-a7-themes-apk-theme-store-t3131852
Google Now Launcher is just a launcher. It will only replace TouchWiz's launcher - not the entire UI. To get the looks of stock Lollipop, you'll need to install an AOSP based ROM that is available for your phone or install a theme (or stock firmware based ROM) that looks similar to the theme and UI of stock Lollipop.
Hello. Default keyboard on my galaxy tab 2 was great, but now i installed aosp 5.1.1 and can't find any keyboard app which can be so comfortable as that from samsung. So question is: is available any conversion of that samsung keyboard for using in other roms?
No ! You can't .. Though you can use a themed keyboard
I had same problem I edited the settings of the new rom and added a pc format keyboard
This is a simply mod to install new Emoji introduced with Unicode 8 and officially merged to Android in latest 6.0.1 update for Nexus phones. I don't like waiting for the next ota or next big massive update, I simply extracted the font from Nexus 6 Factory image and ported to our OPO; to install, simply flash the attached package in your favourite recovery
To check if everything went well, navigate with your phone to this website http://emojipedia.org/unicode-8.0/ and you should see the new Emoji
Edit 09/12/2015
Added new zip Unicode8Emoji+LatinIME.zip with Emoji + recompiled AOSP keyboard to the zip, simply flash in recovery as usual

Thanks to @F4uzan for compiling the keyboard! http://forum.xda-developers.com/and...d-6-0-1-r3-t3266333/post64205223#post64205223
will they come up on the keyboard, last time I updated emojis it didnt show up in keyboard
Nice work ! Works fine on my side, I dunno about the keyboard, tho.
Edit : Keyboard won't show the new emoji, the stock AOSP LatinIME (which is included in most ROM) requires an update to Android-6.0.1 branch to be able to use the new emoji (as far as I know)
An update of the keyboard is required, but at least we can see them
Works with CM13??

Will google keyboard show them correctly? I know AOSP keyboard won't show them until updated to 6.0.1 sources.
Click here, I managed to compile the newest keyboard from 6.0.1 for 5.x.x, it displays all the emoji, but you might see some layout breakage because of outdated parts on 5.x.x. Just replace the font package with the one on this thread, and follow the installation there.

They are only in 6.0.1. The new emojies are not in 6.0.0, they're only in 6.0.1. Can you make a port for 6.0.0? @andrew2511

You can install the pack "Unicode8Emoji_Andrew2511.zip" to enable the support system-wide, about the keyboard you'll probably break things if you flash the one attached in the OP (not tested)

We got support for 6.0.1 emojis on Swiftkey Beta but my keyboard does not show new emojis though.
Changelog says: New emoji now supported by devices running Android 6.0.1
Now I can see new emojis send by other users but my keyboard does not have them.
it's possible to change the android's emojis to the iO's emojis with the latest version of it ?

About the iPhone emoji, I'm not sure. It requires more work to add iPhone emoji. But you can flash the zip on the first post to get the new keyboard and the new emoji from 6.0.1
