[Q] hide navbar? - Moto X Q&A

I owned a razr hd before and there was a trick to hide the navbar. Is there a way to do this on the moto x?

not yet. Once custom ROM's come along it should be easy. You can already get Pie controls through Xposed mods, so it should be feasible.

I'm finding that too....
For now I can use the LMT v1.912 to get a pie, but I still can't hide the navbar.........
I found some people said to change the build.prop and add this "qemu.hw.mainkeys=1", they said you can hide the navbar by this way
but I just can't change that file on my phone.....I used ES file explore

I'm going to have to look into it... It's a launcher right? I never used a launcher like that... Would it slow down the phone?

Yes, it's a launcher. No, it won't slow down your phone.

I think for that you need Pie control. Sorry I don't exactly know where you would be able to find it though.... Pretty sure it's included in most Paranoid Android ROMs (sorry it's been a while since I flashed anything so I might be incorrect).
There is an app in the play store as well and I don't think it requires root, but I would say that having it built into a ROM would work better.

KitKat 4.4 status bar for non root

Ok I've been searching the forum for an answer to this and everything I find is for rooted phones. Bit I have the droid maxx on 4.4 ota. Non rooted. Is there anyway I can get the transparent status bar and white icons seeing they left that out of the update.
Thanks for any answers and sorry if I just over looked it somewhere else

eh, even for root it's not terribly perfect. Talked with one of the program heads for the droid line at Motorola, and expressed our desire for it in the upcoming update. However, now that lenovo has bought motorola, no one has a clue
Ehhh.

Any downloaded KK launcher from the play store or Nova will give you the transparent status bar....the white icons will prob have to wait for 4.4.2
