OK I've been all over the place here trying to find out how to change all the system fonts completely like I did on my OGEvo. I've tried Rom Toolbox Pro, but it only changes some of the fonts. I've seen a couple other apps but from others that have used them, same problem. I have only found one thread talking about modding the font files directly
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1952886
I was hoping not to have to do that if possible. Are there any other thoughts out there?
change fonts? like this?
Plenty of fonts here Link
Just download and flash zip in recovery.

I use Font Installer from the play store. Works perfectly fine.

Font Installer has been a good and faithful app for me since my HD2 but does not work for me on my m7spr. I have tried in on stock/rooted, stock/rooted/unlocked/s-off, and with Illusion ROM, PACman ROM, and SlimROM. At first, I would end up with bootloops. Now, I get a restart that doesn't accomplish anything. What gives? I would say it is another wonderful perk from having a Sprint variant, but I see in numerous threads that many have no problem. Anyone have an idea as to why this happens?
EDIT: im0rtalz link worked for me just fine. THANKS MAN!
And thanks to v-b-n as well!!!

So flashing in recovery will change all of the fonts? Bold, regular, menu items etc? Cause everything I've done will not change the bold ones

Today we released Ruby 1.1.1 for the Incredible, with it we did our best to knock out all the major bugs that we seem to have overlooked on our initial release.
All fixes include:
GPS
Bluetooth(we thought was fixed but have had reports to the contrary)
Camera/Camcorder
Media Scanning
Download Links for all roms are now available at Http://wiki.ccroms.net
Work Around for RomManager issues:
RomManager has been causing issues for both Sapphire and Ruby users by applying the downloads out of order, the best way to work around this is to use RomManager download the files, and manually apply the downloads in recovery.
all downloads should be applied in this order: wipe>rom>gapps>boot and allow phone to load>reboot into recovery>apply theme
boot and allow phone to load>reboot into recovery, can be removed from the process but should you run into problems add those steps back in to see if the problem resolves.
For announcements,
CCRoms is now accepting code contributions. As we continue to grow adding more devices it keeps getting more difficult for only cvpcs and I to get everything going on the device and actually get features and bugs worked out. So now we are asking you guys to help with that.
The procedure to do so is just like cyanogenmod, fork our repo and make changes and submit a pull request.
All of our code is available at http://www.github.com/cvpcs
Also we managed to get a Droid X, here is a video of it shot by me on Ruby 1.1.1
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UpMLpXxyje8
Some screenshots would be great.
Anyways... Downloading, wiping, and installing.
Excellent work on Ruby!! This rom is the fastest, smoothest rom on the incredible yet, and it isn't even overclocked!!!
Looking forward to future development and what it will bring.

...Wait, so then what's so great about it?
I mean, all ROMs offer something different, but what does this one bring to the table?
Can you post links to the theme zip files for those of us who installed it before it was on rom manager?
Thanks

there may be other themes created for Ruby, you will either have to ask where they are located on IRC.

Keep getting a FC on the Dialer every half a second.
*EDIT*
Nevermind.
Err, how does one get the Market app?
Same issue.... dialer fc? Had to go back to a diff. ROM...
So far so good...the only problem is that the roaming indicator is always on in the notification bar. Did a *228 and rebooted etc, but it is still there. Annoying but not a deal breaker. Have to say a favorite for me so far.

Roaming Indicator
Love the ROM. One problem I have had is the Roaming indicator is always on. Unfortunately, it's a deal breaker for me. I'm in an area where I do roam at times and I need this to be accurately reflected in the status bar. Keep up the great work!
Does the Ruby rom not come with any backgrounds? It still has my CM6 background i had. I did a wipe/clean before install. When i find background and select wallpapers there is nothing but a black one and a multicolor.
Just curious if there is any Ruby background or anything i can download.
If you don't have gapps, download the zip, place on sd card, and install with recovery.
http://files.ccroms.net/download.php?q=ruby/froyo/1.1.0/release/ruby-1.1.0-gapps-update.zip
edit: well that's weird... I just try to install this zip from my sdcard, and it said bad... maybe a bad download.

I was having the same problem. The first time I downloaded it was with RomManager. I downloaded the rom, a theme and gapps and tried to install all in one go.
Dialer FC's.
So I then got the rom and gapps, installed and booted, then got a theme and installed separately and everything works great.
This rom is fast!

New to Ruby
Any help would be appreciated.
I just flashed Ruby 1.1.1 (w/ fresh wipe). I booted it up and starts up okay, then get to the setup screen with a FC saying, "The application Dialer (process com.android.phone) has stopped..".
Any ideas? Should I wipe and re-flash 1.1.1 or is there an easy fix?
Edit- saw the posts above. Will try no theme.
Edit2- works without a theme =)
Does this require a full wipe before installation?
I've heard about search key issues. Anyone else seeing this?

Wow! This app is just perfect! Instead of 300000 apps to all do one thing, just one to do everything!
Wow...im definetely goin to try this one out! THANK you for posting
Edit: is it compatible with the ICS port?
Still have bugs:
First, tried uninstalling three apps. It uninstalls the first two and then gets stuck trying to uninstall the third. Tested this a few times with same result.
Second, tried making a backup of the rom which didn't work. It just reboots the phone without creating a backup. It's too dependent on Rom Manager which is a shame.
Third, tried installing a new font using this tool. It appeared to have installed it but there was no option to actually apply the new font.
If the above items would get fixed it would be a perfect app.

What an awesome find! Does anyone know if we can apply wifi and battery style icons on our t-mobile theme engine themes with this app
NSCOLLAB / BEST DAMN PHONE BECAUSE WE HAVE THE BEST DAMN DEVELOPERS!
Saurik, the long time developer of iPhone's jailbreak apps (Cydia, Winterboard etc) has released two apps today for Android systems, Cydia Substrate and Winterboard. Winterboard allows you to use ANY kind of theme (CM themes, Apex themes etc) on stock ROMs without having the required custom ROMs or Launchers for it. Just install Cydia Substrate, do what it says then install Winterboard, then you can install any themes, activate them, then just hot reboot then phone and voilá! It's a great thing IMO, very nice work from him.
Here you can find the apps you need (both free):
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.saurik.substrate
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.saurik.winterboard
Root access needed, and not every themes work yet, as they are still in beta phase.

I tried it and I'm absolutly not conviced by these 2 products.
I installed them as described by you and the author several times on a Stok ICS (because I think is that one wich need most theming help) and I experienced lots of FC, freezes and lot of strange behavior (like : re-asking for my Google ID logon).
I tried to use some CM10 themes for experiences but after to many problems I lost faith. So I gave up.
Anyway thanks for the head up.
i tried it too and it's not working for me, only a laggy device and i can't change the theme i don't know why

Maybe you'll have better luck with cm9 themes on stock ics rom than cm10 themes. Check out the mega cm9 theme chooser thread for the list of themes
I'm not responsible for any of this. This someone else thread and development.
I'm simply posting a link for those who would like to play around with this.
Most of these are apks that will show up in under settings/display/front touch buttons/color. For your choosing.
I have tried pretty much all the softkeysin this thread (that are not girly) and have had no issues what so ever. Proceed on your own. I'm not responsible.
All credit goes to those that made these apps and mods in the thread I'm linking you to.

I would love to do this, but not having a custom recovery makes me leary.
all these are just apk's that you download and use what ever file manager you prefer and click and install. you dont have to replace any apks or modify anything. so due to that its pretty safe if softkeys apk doesnt work then in settings select another softkey theme and use your file manager to delete the one that doesnt work

You can download and install them. Tried it by myself and i'm stock, not rooted and no custom recovery installed!
All you have to do, is download what you want, install as normal apk (don't forget in settings-security to active 'unknown sources').
After you installed them, in the settings-display-front touch buttons-color you find them.
If the 'original' appear on homescreen, just deactivate 'transparent background'.
Sorry about my English.

Thanks for that. Yeah I've been trying to explain this is safe. Not a mod just normal apk's. I probably should have mentioned in the OP that you don't need root. And hey I learn something new everyday I.e. disable transparent to get them to show the new soft keys on home screen. I didn't know that. Thanks.

No doubt, I had been trying to get them to stay using the g2 tweak box, and I couldn't do it. That is a simple solution.

just purchased from google playstore, very nice theme i love the look.
@Ich1994 no issues here on 3/8 cm12
edit getting systemui force closes, mostly when entering landscape. using default theme it goes away, it seems this a known issue and will be fixed in the next nightly, or whenever this gets merged, http://review.cyanogenmod.org/#/c/90779/

For those that receive bootloops, this is an issue with whatever ROM you are on's Theme Engine. Specifically fonts. Applying the font change causes this bootloop. The fix will have to roll out overtime to latest nightlies.
