[Q] Red charging light on when unplugged? - Sprint HTC One (M7)

Last night, I plugged in my Sprint HTC One (launch day device, if that makes a difference) and this morning, I couldn't use it. I say I couldn't use it as in the red charging light stays on when unplugged, pressing the power button yields nothing, and holding it down only makes the capacitive buttons at the bottom blink on and off as long as I'm pressing the power button.
I can't turn on my device to get all the device info, but here's what I remember:
Rooted, S-OFF
Running a stable 4.2.2 ROM (Outside of screen responsiveness issues which could be due to me dropping my phone sometimes, I've never had issues with this ROM)
Either stock or stable custom kernel.
When I plugged it in last night, the battery was definitely above 40%.
No one touched it between the time when I plugged it in last night and this morning when I went to check my texts.
Currently, the red light has been on without it being plugged in for about 20 minutes. I have tried the fix found in the FAQ, but it was unsuccessful.
Any ideas? I'll just keep fiddling with it in hopes of it working, but that's all I've got.

I think you broke your phone by dropping it sometimes

My N1 is bricked

I was using Nexus One since the last year. I upgraded to Cm6.1R2 last December. Since then the phone was fine and I'd say I was an extremely happy man with cyanogenmod. A week back my phone suddenly stopped working and whatever I did to bring the phone back to life, failed. I tried to go into bootloader to flash the latest CM rom by holding the power button + track ball, power button+vol.up, power button+vol up &down, power+vol up+down+track ball. None could bring up the bootloader and the screen is completely black. Whenever I connect my charger I see the green light which the only sign of life in my phone. I tried to reset my phone by removing the battery and putting it back after while. With the charger when I remove the battery I could see that the LED flickers between orange and green. I don't know what to do. Please help me
Have you tried booting the phone without the battery inserted, connected to the mains only? Short of that it really does sound like your phone is bricked. HTC would be your best bet, sorry mate. Also, make sure to try charging the phone for a few hours. I once thought mine was bricked and it turned out to be a buggy app that completely drained the battery requiring a good charge before it wud even turn on.

[Q] Nook won't boot - "Battery too low to power ON"

I recently installed CM7 nightly 12 and it's stuck at this screen. I'm using the stock charger. I've tried plugging it into my computer too.. no luck. Is there anything else to try? Am I screwed?
this sounds like something that was happening to me yesterday. i finally got it to charge by making sure it was completely off. i finally realized that even though the screen was dark it wasn't off, so it never charged (i think it was just recycling the charge enough to keep it on). if you look at it in a dark enough light you can see the screen is still on (backlit).
so plug it in, i would suggest using the wall charger. this usually makes it turn on (at least mine did), once it does, hold the power button until its off, no backlight is on. hope this makes sense and helps out a little
There's many others having this problem (me, on my friends nook, one of them). Hold down the Power button for a long period of time (I heard it's 10 seconds, but someone said they had to hold it for 30) and it will do a hard reset. At that point, try to turn it on again normally. If it doesn't turn on normally, plug it in (using the uSB cable that came with it (that is very important) and into the wall with the provided adapter), wait 30 minutes, and try again. It seems that very few (I don't know if i've actually read of any) who had this problem actually had to return the nook. When it happened to me with my bro-in-laws, he just hed the power button cause he was mad and it turned on, it hasn't happened to him since
Finally started working. I tried holding the power down for awhile with no luck.. Left it charging overnight and tried holding power again and it worked!

[Q] Is my Nexus 7 dead? Please give me options to charge/turn on

Good evening everyone, I have a Nexus 7 8gb, but the thing is, I cannot turn it on now.
It happened as follows:
I was using it every now and then, mostly to read and play.
I was using the charger to charge my cellphone too (XTC Explorer) as it was a lot faster, being 2amp/h.
I updated the cell to 4.1 and at the same week noted the battery wasn't running that long, but blamed it to the rom.
The cellphone also took a lot longer to charge with the nexus charger, yet again I blamed the rom.
I noticed the Nex was at 8% while reading so decided to charge it, but I guess I forgotten.
The next time I wanted to use it it wouldn't turn on. I figure it had no battery.
I plugged the nexus charger to the nexus a whole night and in the morning it still wouldn't turn on.
I figured something must be wrong with the charger, so I tried with the cellphone and nook color charger, but both are .5 amps/hour.
It wouldn't charge, neither connected to the pc (also .5a/h via usb) so I tried a psp go charger, as it is rated at 1.5 amp/hour, much closer.
I connected it at night and saw the charging icon (white on black battery with the ray) and left it overnight.
The next morning it wouldn't turn on either.
I've bought it almost two months ago and I really enjoy it =) but now I'm desperate.
I cannot call google play for the warrant because I'm in Argentina, and I don't believe they will ship me a replacement, nor anything. This one my brother bought from them, but he went back to US a few days ago, and I didn't think of giving it to him to RMA.
I tried keeping the on button, for 5 secs, 30 sec, 90 secs, 120 secs, and no dice. Also tried holding the Up Volume key to restart it, but no chance.
Please help!
Had a similar issue to this over the weekend after not charging for 2 days and the battery going dead. I let it sit on the original charger overnight and for some reason it did not charge. It kept booting and shutting down once it booted due to a low battery warning. It eventually got to the point where the screen would go to fuzzy lines and light but no boot.
To finally get it working I did a combination of a few things but don't actually know what got it going.
Put it on a different (kindle) charger and let it sit for an hour or 2, did several hard resets holding both just the power and also the up/down volume and power all at the same time for up to 60 plus seconds. I switched back to the stock charger and did an additional hard boot by holding just the power for 30+ seconds and it started booting and charging.
I did however put it on the charge again last night and noticed this morning it was still at half battery and didn't get a charge. I ended up putting it on a mifi charger this morning and it's charging again so don't know what is up with the stock charger. Also, have all the latest updates to 4.2 as far as I know as there have been charging issues reported with earlier versions...

Try this, it just saved my device:

try holding down the volume DOWN and the power key for 10 seconds, then release the power key and keep the volume down key pressed, and it will force the unit to restart into the bootloader from any stage, its effectively like pushing the restart button on the front of a computer and constantly pressing the delete key to get into the bios.

[Q] Daily lock up while charging

Hello,
I am currently using an ATT branded 64 GB HTC One. The Phone is locked and stock except for a few play applications I've downloaded
Nearly every day that I connect the phone to the charger for an extended period of time I will come back to it and it will be frozen, the notification LED will be solid just like its charging normally but the screen will not wake, when the phone is disconnected from the charger the LED stays solid red as if it was still plugged in. At this point I will hold the power button until the phone powers off (or at least seems to, the screen backlight is not on and the LED goes black) and then hold the power button again and it will boot. The more serious problem I've been running in to is after powering down the phone down sometimes it will not power back on again regardless of how long I hold the power button for (I haven't gone over 1:30 of holding the button often but I have tried it). The phone seems dead for either a few minutes or a few hours. Here are some other observations I've made...
- I've had the phone "lock up" on 3 different chargers, HTC bundled charger, generic USB, and the one bundled with my Nexus 4.
- I've thought maybe the phone isn't charging while I am away and when the phone will not wake up maybe it is completely dead so I've hooked it up for about ~15-60 minutes and tried powering the phone up on the above 3 chargers, a Lumia 920 charger, car charger, and charging off computers USB port. None of these seem to have any affect on waking the phone up.
- The time between powering off and when it will power back on seems to be getting longer? I am currently with the dead One, it died about 12 hours ago before bed, tried to power it on last night and again this morning after leaving it on the charger. The closest to powering on that I got was the screen flashed white for a millisecond. Tried to power it back on many times this morning and no go.
- The phone hasn't frozen away from home, but I've only charge it from USB from my PC at work.
Right now I am leaning toward contacting ATT to see if I can arrange an exchange, I'm out of ideas at this point.

[Q] HTC One

I have an HTC One. I was using it normally today, but got home and it was one percent. I plugged it up to charge and went to check a notification I had, and it turned off. It has happened before, and the charge light was on and it went straight to the screen where it shows the red battery and percent below it. This was normal - like I said, it's happened to me before. Then, it completely turned off instead of charging. A short time later, the orange charging light went off.
I plugged it up into the wall as advised a forum I was looking at for this problem, and apparently it is a common thing with these phones. I've let it charge for about an hour and it still isn't turning on and both the charge light and the red LED light have not come on at all. I tried to trick where I held it under my lamp light and held the power button and both the up and down volume buttons but it still hasn't turned on. Maybe I just haven't left it plugged up long enough?
Any advice? I use my phone a lot, so I really need it!
