I've tried flashing numerous ROMs and they all boot up then proceed to restart about 30-45 seconds after doing so. When the phone turns back on, it just comes up to a black screen with nothing but the wi-fi signal, radio signal(which receives no signal), and battery icon at the top of the screen. It'll continue to reboot after 30-45 seconds on this screen as well.
Now I can access my settings on this screen if I pull down the the tab from the top. When I go to my phone info, the MEID,phone number, and IMEI among other things are "Unknown". I have tried clearing cache and doing a factory reset but it doesn't help.
If it helps, this is an HTC One that I bought from Ting so I was unsure if this should be here or in the Sprint HTC One subforum.
I just want to get this phone back to how it was working when I first got it. What do I need to do?
Did you figure it out
Did you happen to figure out how to fix your phone? If so please post how you did it
If it is a CDMA version it was flashed with a GSM ROM (could be vice versa as well). Only an RUU fixes it. I had a friend flash a GSM ROM to a Sprint and it was the exact same symptoms. Black screen, no IMEI, reboots.. no ROM flash will fix it.

Hi,
I am running CM 4.0.4 and it has been working great. For the past week or so i have been experiencing connection dropping. Every now and again, increasingly, i have been getting connection errors.
I am using the market, browsing and downloading some apps or on the web, then all of a sudden, it says connection error. I have tried using the browser and other apps that use the internet, and they time out. I then tried calling a number, it showed the usual grey dialling image, then after a few seconds it goes red and days call ended. it never gets to green.
The really odd thing is that i have full signal and the 3g logo is shown. Also the 3g up arrow flashes white but the down arrow stays grey.
has anyone else been having this problem? is it a software thing that can be fixed by wiping or is it a hardware problem and i need to contact T-Mobile? Also, if i do wipe, is it safe to restore from backup or could the error be in the backup too?
Chris
Is noone having these issues?
reflash the radio, if that doesn't help, make a back up, wipe, reflash rom, and see if that fixed it, if not, wipe, flash another rom entirely, and see, if that doesn't unroot your phone, then see if it does it with stock, if it is still happening with stock call t-mobile
I took battery out to change SIM card and now it won't start.
I get text "Touch Diamond" on the black screen and when it comes to Radio version etc. (red text i corner) it restarts!?!
I tried hard reset but it doesn't help.
Plz help I need my baby back!
Tnx
Try this
I found solution for this problem. If your diamond won't boot go to bootloader mode and upgrade your radio hxxp://modmydiamond.info/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=15&Itemid=26 and after that your dimond worked fine without loosing data.

I have the same problem. After a lockup when trying to get the internet sharing to work the phone just keeps rebooting.
I tried to flash a new radi version (from bootloader mode). Everything went OK, but the phone still won't start.
Whats next step? Hard reset?
i have the same problem - i believe it´s battery related
Try leaving your device off for a bit and pull the battery. Then re-insert the battery and plug your device into the ac adapter/charger and charge it for at least 30min. Then turn it back on and see if it continues. Like the previous poster said, you could have a bad battery. Otherwise, flash the shipped rom and then see if it still does it. Then flash back to your custom rom.
Hey,
My AT&T rooted nexus one is still randomly rebooting if I use 3g data. I am in Costa Rica and the 3g is on the 850 band. I also have to add the apn "kolbi3g".
So basically I can use the phone for anything and it works great, but if I add the apn and start using the 3g heavily I will get a reboot, sometimes it will reboot vibrate 7 times and I have to pull the battery. I have tried 2.1 and 2.2 rooted and not also cyanogen 6 all the same problem.
If I do *#*#4636#*#* and select the wcdma only it runs the 3g better but reboots way more, sometimes the instant I place load on the connection. However if I select wcdma "unkown" the 3g works much better I can use it sometimes 30min at a time without a problem.
So any ideas what I could try? Is there a kernel that will up the volt's a bit just help stability? Or anything else I could try? Data roaming is off, I have tried both off and on, no difference that I can tell.
Thanks a lot this is driving me crazy! Just got this phone Sunday too sick to my stomach of the thought I spend $600 on this phone if I can't get 3g to work
How about radio image???
It is currently on baseband 4.06.00.12_7. Is there a more current radio?
I came across this multiple reboot issue on a (locked) Vodafone UK Nexus.
It booted into the OS (lockscreen) and as soon as data connected it looped back to the last couple seconds of the animated Nexus logo.... and again.... and again.
I powered down the unit (battery pull), booted into bootloader (voldown+power) and selected clear storage (voldown, voldown, power) then (volup) to confirm.
This deletes the user data and you have to sign in and set up the phone again but it certainly fixed the issue. My only guess is some user data became corrupt and the kernel panicked and forced a partial reboot.
Give it a try and lemme know.

Just did that (had the phone plugged into wall charger), and the second I got to the home screen it rebooted then vibrated like 6 or seven times. Seems to do it worse when it is plugged in. And now it won't even boot up even after pulling the battery, it vibrates 6-7 times.
I am really worried about this, any other ideas??? I will try anything! Thanks for the help
Update! Now the phone just reboot when I do anything period with it plugged in. Just like posted in another thread on this section!
Please any ideas I am very desperate and very sick to my stomach!
Hmmm very strange.
I'm aware from what you were saying on the other thread that you've got an unlocked bootloader and you're wondering what to do on the warranty front.
If you've really tried different combinations of stock and custom firmware and having the same issue I'm tempted to say its a hardware issue.
Many people have returned their unlocked phones with no comeback from HTC some have reported that they have noticed the unlocked bootloader and have issued a motherboard repair as part of the fix because of this.
Although im unsure of the additional cost (if any) i would definitely recommend going through the warranty repair route with HTC. They won't say no and send you back the same broken phone. And who knows, if its a confirmed hardware issue they may just replace it as a goodwill gesture.
Other than that I don't have any more ideas.
A nexus support thread has a popular answer referring to the clear storage fix.

Just make sure you are definitely clearing the storage FROM THE BOOTLOADER before calling HTC. It is the first thing they will make you do before accepting a return anyway.

Ok thank you so much sir. I am so glad to hear that I may still have a chance at getting it replaced! It was very fullish of me to unlock it, I know, it is just that I figured it was software and could be fixed by unlocking. It is going to cost me $$$ to get this to the States, but that is life. If I still can't get it to work I will call htc and let you know what they say
Little update here. I cleared storage again and just simply disabled data, I have been using the phone for a couple of hours on work without any problems. Next thong I am going yo yty is another friends 3g similar card and see if it still reboots on that sim, if it does then I am calling HTC.
Also still open to any other ideas you guys may have.
Basic Info:
HTC One phone purchased in Hong Kong through a relative, so no idea who the provider/brand it's RUU is under
Now running on T-Mobile network in Texas
Never had been tinkered with before (Rooting/Flash-ROM/etc.)
Never had issues with it aside from only getting 3G internet (had used 4G on previous phone, same plan)
This all started randomly earlier today when the phone was idling on the desk, I was going to check something but it won't respond. I didn't have any updates pending/installing and only had a game open. First idea was no power so I plugged it into the wall, but the charging light wasn't lit so I assumed a dead internal battery. After trying a few more times, it turned back on! But this time it gives me a black screen after the white screen with the HTC logo in the middle, and to further annoy me it keeps restarting and repeating this. I tried the Hboot screen via Power+DownVolume but none of the options worked.
I tried all the options:
Fastboot (Reboot + Reboot Hboot)
Recovery
Factory Reset
Nothing worked at all and I've already scanned the forums for something similar but nothing comes up. Someone please help me fix it, I need it for work and can't afford another day like this. T-Mobile guys were no help and Best Buy guys did no better. Thanks in advance for all the help!
so i was getting my htc one ready to make a trade when tried to flash it back to sprint using qpst...did everything as i should as instructed but when i go to click on Write to Phone....the progress bar moves almost all the way then i get a pop up about nv is read only and everything stalls, so i unplugged powered phone off and reboot, that is when i lost everything...my phone number is not on there, it shows no prl, and the imsi are series of 1's and some 0's, so i flashed the stock RUU and nothing its still the same....if anyone has any expertise please advise
