[Q] Teamhacksung's CM9 VS Team ICSSGS. (performance Compare) OPINION

Hey,
I'm new here and i have a few questions, I know that Team ICSSGS is AOSP and Teamhacksung's CM9 alpha is its own, and i know that TEAMICSSGS is stock while CM9 is customizable. but....
1) I was wondering for the people who tried both. Which is better in their own opinion? and why? (which is FASTER, more stable)
2) Is it possible to for some one to post benchmark/quadrant results for both ROMS? I would really appreciate it.
Thank you.
Threads like this aren't allowed on XDA as developers work hard to make their ROM the best it can be. XDA isn't for you to ask which is best. It is for you to try and see which best fits you. Don't pin to ROMs against each other.

[Q]Getting started with porting: which device to port from and which ROM to port?

Saluton al vi,
I decided to come in the Android development with a porting, a thing that, according to what I heard, isn' too difficult to start. I read a bit this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1598713 and I believe it could be nice and a bit useful to port MIUI v4, since I haven't found any versions for our Galaxy Tab yet, maybe using CyanogenMod 9 official RC1 as base (since MIUI derivates from CM).
1) From which device should I port MIUI? Galaxy Nexus, Galaxy S2 or anything else?
2) Will I have to change the resolution of every image to adapt a phone ROM to a tablet?
3) Would it be too difficult for a person like me, who have never created or ported a ROM before? Maybe did I misunderstood anything and is a porting a terribly difficult thing? I'm asking this because I've never seen a MIUI porting for Galaxy Tab.
4) If it's too difficult, what should I do to learn?
5) Finally, the obvious question: do I risk bricking my Tab, even if in the ROM there are neither primary nor secondary bootloaders?
I'm sorry if the questions are too many.

Sorry, but I did it unintentionally, and when I noticed the mistake, I didn't know how to move the thread. Who can do it?
Please, could you be so nice to answer my question, instead?

I'll write the post again in the Q&A section. Could you delete this one, please?

Hybrid ROM

Hi folks,
before i bought the One, i used to have a Sony Xperia Neo V. There we had an AOSP-Stock Hybrid ROM created by JJdoctor (or similar ).
It had all benefits from Stock (working HDMI, best camera...) but with all those nice AOSP Apps. And the icing on the cake was that he included the advanced settings of AOKP.
I would love to see something similar for my One and i wanted to ask, if someone is already at it.
If not, i wanted to ask you guys if you can recommend me some material to get involved into Android developing so that i am able to create this kind of ROM by my own.
I am an experienced (Java) developer, so i think i can go straight to the advanced stuff...
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks in advance
The best hybrid rom for our one is the PacMan, and it's a mix of Paranoid, CM and AOKP.
If you want a sense rom with some features of AOKP you have to wait the ViperRom, that will be out soon.

[Q] [ROM] Can I switch between Cyanogenmod-based ROMs without having to factory wipe?

Hey guys, I am new to the forum I have an HTC One M7 running Carbon, and am loving it--it is possibly the best ROM out there at the moment. However, I am curious about possibly trying out OmniROM sometime soon, just to see what it brings to the table for me. Since the two are both based off of Cyanogenmod 11, would it be possible to install OmniROM without having to lose all of my settings and factory reset my phone? I was able to do this seamlessly between CM nightlies, so I am wondering if this would also apply to related ROMs. Thanks for you guys' help
Well it's very hit and miss. Sometimes it works fine sometimes not. Do a nandroid backup first and give it a go

Does anyone have an AOSP ICS rom lying around?

I recently downloaded CM9.1 for my old Xoom, and want my phone to match. I LOVE AOSP ICS, its perfect for me UI wise and the speed and battery life are usually butter. If anyone has an old CM9 rom or AOSP ICS rom of any kind lying around, please share.
Also if you know a way to turn stock ICS into a GSM only AOSP-looking rom, then I am all ears. Any way to get AOSP ICS on this phone is appreciated.
For anyone curious: http://omniimpact.com/android/roms/myfishbear/?dir=/Droid 4 Roms/ICS Roms/CM9
None of them worked in my stock slot, and i refuse to wipe my perfect Sailfish OS installation in my rom slot 1
