Has anyone messed with these?
-You get to them by:
-Having a 3rd party launcher like Nova
-Long press and go to Shortcuts
-Then click Activities
-Then scroll down to com.qualcomm
Cool find. Not sure what anything does though. I think SD polling has to do with Wi-Fi as per Qualcomm dev docs.

I have just updated to 4.2.2 in my HTC One. I found the Quick Settings is very useful when I am going to toggle settings like WiFi, Bluetooth, LTE, Air Plane mode etc.
But it is very stupid to use 2-fingers pulling down the Quick Toggles directly, especially I am using my phone with one hand only. Pull the the Notification Bar and then press the button upper right to launch the Quick Settings is also slow and inconvenience.
I know Nova Launcher has got a shortcut to pop up the Quick Settings instantly, but I really want to have the original Sense Launcher. Is that any app or widget can launch the Quick Toggles page as a shortcut???
P.S. My phone has not yet rooted... I hope for a non-rooted solution.
I'm actually curious about this as well. I don't have 4.2.2 yet, but from what I've seen, I don't think that I'll like having to either use 2 fingers or pull down the menu and select the secondary menu. I'm currently using the Quick Toggles app from Google Play, and it does the job, but it would be great to just use the stock feature.

The finger friendliest way of Starting Apps on your Smartwatch.
Totaly user configurable:
Layouts 2x2,3x3, 4x4
Background Color
Possible to add Apps, Settings Shortcuts, Contact Shortcuts
Possible to save layouts
Swipe left or right to change layout.
Adaptive Mode:
1. Make a list with the apps launched the more often with any of the other list.
2. Allow to sort any list following their app usage.
3. Possible to stick the number of apps you choose at the beginning of an adaptive list.
4. Filter the apps usage reports (by date, hours, location...) to get the right apps when you need them.
5. Sync or merge reports between android phones using it.
6. Backup your data so that every time you get a new phone, the app usage data just get bigger and the adaptive mode better.
** This is still a beta version with only one app list and basic adaptive mode **
In current state, the adaptive mode will only sort the app list by globlal usage and can't be disabled.
Thanks...

Kinda nice, but there's no way to see the time on it. I'm pretty partial to seeing the time on my watch, LOL.
How does this work? Side load onto Gear?
This should be a home screen widget.. would be perfect for novalauncher or any other third party launchers for that matter..
Kind of pointless if you ask me..

i have exactly the same feeling. no offence, but i can't find a single use for this that i won't get with nova launcher.
i'm not a developer, but i think we need more apps that are optimized for gear - and i don't mean a launcher like this, but apps like voice recorder, music player, perhaps a text reader.

It's not a launcher, it's to be used with other launchers to access easily the apps you use most.

Good for you getting an app made, can you give us some examples on where we could use it?
I rooted my phone and am wondering if there is a way to create a shortcut on my home page to launch the two apps quickly. I couldn't find anything online.

Use 2 fingers to drag from the top of the screen and you can see the multi window on/off

I think the OP means launching 2 apps at the same time, not the quick toggle. There's nothing out there that I know of for that.
You can do it with an app that supports shortcuts (i.e. Nova Launcher, Tasker, GMD Gesture Control, etc).
Thanks. I use Nova launcher, so I will see if I get it to work.

For some reason I don't see the option for windowed shortcut for 1 or 2 apps.
It just doesn't exist.
I'm using Apex launcher and I have swipe up to get to quick settings, but it doesn't work. Any other options?
Swipe down from the top with two fingers.
Start swiping down from the right side and hold until the tab switches to quick settings. Then pull down.

Best solution I found for myself is "Power Toggles". That App allows to have quick toggles on the home screen as well as where they used to be prior to Android 4.4.

Or if you use it a lot, might want to try tasker.
I also use Power Toggles for quick access to a lot of settings, although with KitKat its usefulness has declined because it has to send you to a settings screen for a lot of them rather than just toggling the setting itself.
Tasker is an option, but a very complicated one. I also use AutomateIt (similar to tasker but much more user friendly) to create shortcut icons to change multiple settings at once.
From Reddit:
1. Go into Device Care, under menu select "show icon on apps screen".
2. Device Care is now in your App drawer, long press it and you see 4 options. Press and hold on any and you can drag them as direct shortcuts for your Home OR apps screen.
3. One is "Battery", drag this and you now have a shortcut directly to your battery status!
4. You can then undo step one, Device Care is gone from.your app drawer but your shortcuts remain. View attachment 4753307View attachment 4753308

Wow, finally something really useful. Already had Device Care out but didn't know about the battery shortcut. THNX!
