hi there i have tried all the possible methods and i cannot get root to work or CMW to work.
ive unlocked the boot loader with the stock rom that avaiable in the tutorial but once it try to install CMW and root i get nothing...
fasboot does not recognize my device so i see no way out..
You can flash cwm with odin, you'll find the files on droidbasement.com. Sometimes it doesn't "stick" (for the lack of a better word) so do it twice. Then you can use rommanager ONLY to reboot into recovery, for nothing else! and proceed with the steps. Do not ever flash anything ever with rommanager.

For your own sake, try to get fastboot working, it's going to make your life easier. If you're using Windows 8 you're out of luck as the drivers are not correctly signed. (at least that was the case when I tried it last)

Check my response in the other thread.
Its tricky but doable and quite worth it, since fastboot is very powerfull.

You'll have to get fastboot working, no way around it then. There are a ton of links to different versions of drivers in this and other forums, one of them will work.

There may be another way, IF the current ROM has adb installed.
Flash CWM in odin
Go to Settings->Developer options- and set Android debugging to on.
Go to the command line (on the platform-tools folder of the android sdk) and type "adb devices".
If it identifies the device, an id will appear; then type "adb reboot recovery" which should reboot the device into CWM.

Can you reach the boot menu by pressing the volume down key while powering on?
Otherwise, try to check if fastboot is able to see your device and flash some new boot and system image

hmm. unlucky. Still nothing. Windows take a signal when connecting phone shows on fastboot menu => fastboot usb and adb mode say error device not found:crying:
i scanned my drivers using driver genius v11, i saw android driver named Samsung_Android_4.0_usbdrivers. now i think its something wrong with my boot.img?
When you see fastboot usb, and you type fastboot devices in a terminal, what does it say? ADB only works in recovery or when your ROM is booted, so just focus on fastboot.
it say when N1 is fastboot usb mode "error device not found". thanks for advance. tomorrow i'll be ask more.

Started cmd.exe typed adb shell => adb mode showed HT9**********. Now problem is wont boot. What i do now? :silly:
i hope u can enter fastboot usb mode. if so try flashing any recovery.img

So I've been trying to install Plasma Active on my Nexus 7. I followed the PA wiki and everything was going well. I got MOSLO installed, and then extracted the PA tarball and then rebooted. It didn't boot into PA, but the wiki mentioned that it might not. So it has a section describing some commands to run in fastboot to get it to boot PA at this point.
The problem is that after I installed MOSLO and extracted PA, I can no longer see the Nexus 7 with fastboot. When I run "fastboot devices" or "adb devices" nothing shows up.
Any one have any thoughts on what might be going on?
Thanks for your help!

Correct. Fastboot worked fine when I unlocked the N7, and then when I installed moslo. But after installing PA, fastboot no longer sees the N7.

The wiki isn't totally clear on what part MOSLO plays.
I would link you to the wiki that I followed, but the forum is preventing me from putting urls in my post.
Does it do ANYTHING? Hopefully it isn't in nvedit mod.
ADB is only good when you have the phone booted up and USB Debugging turned on.
Fastboot commands only work when the device is in bootloader mode.
If your phone is past bootloader mode, but getting stuck in a bootloop or something, then ADB will be unavailable too.
Try Turning the phone off completely, holding VOLUME DOWN + UP + POWER until it boots into the Bootloader. Then Connect it up to the PC and run your fastboot commands.
Can you get into any form of custom recovery? If so you have a few options that could help.

If I hold power and volume down, I can boot into the bootloader. same if I hold power and both volume keys. That's what gives me fastboot access (or would normally).
I can do that. And I can boot into the MOSLO. But I cannot get into Plasma Active. One of the last errors that I can see before MOSLO reboots is "no rootfs found. ignoring."
When I first started, I could hold power and volume down to get into the bootloader, and my computer could see it from fastboot. That is how I unlocked the bootloader and flashed the MOSLO. But once I installed Plasma Active, I couldn't see the device in fastboot anymore. And instead of booting into Plasma Active, it just shows the dead android on its back with the red triangle exclamation point.
Since the xda forum won't let me post links, if you google "install plasma active on nexus 7", the second option is the wiki for the project I'm following.

No. If I'm in the bootloader and tell it to reboot into "recovery mode", it just shows me the dead android with the red triangle exclamation point. I imagine that is because android is no longer on the device. Which is what I want. I'm trying to put a new OS on here. Though I don't suppose that helps much.

Android with red triangle and exclamation mark means you don't have a custom recovery installed.

Yeah, there's the dual boot option. Though I chose to go with the single OS option. In that case, it does repalce Android completely.
My friend HTC one was updating firmware through OTA and turned it off during it
Its stuck now at logo screen
Am a Samsung user and terms like Odin and downloading stock ROM couldn't be found here on HTC.
Am confused as I have read a lot and it seems quite different than Samsung...
I managed to enter to boot loader but recovery isn't running as the device just restart.
The boatloader is locked in red. And formating the device is not solving the issue.
All I need is a site alternative to sammobile to download stock ROM and a program alternative to Odin to flash the mobile back

Are you familiar with FASTBOOT and ADB commands? If you don't have them installed on your PC then use this tool. Once you get them installed and operational, get the phone back into bootloader and attach the USB cable. It should say FASTBOOT USB. Enter this command in the command window: fastboot getvar all Post the information from it to this site but remove the IMEI & Serialno data.
This is a lot different than Samsumg. In some ways it is a lot easier. We need to find out what OS version is installed so we can direct you in the correct direction.

this is a dual sim variant of the HTC one (M7CDUG) and unfortunately, its not much supported here. There is no RUU I can found here to restore your phone. (4.21.402.5) only files available are ota update files and can not be used to restore the phone.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2617159
You should try to fastboot erase cache then reboot in recovery mode (volume up then power when you see the triangle with exclamation mark) then in the menu, try to apply the ota again.
You could also unlock your bootloader, flash a custom recovery compatible with dual sim variant and flash a custom rom.
Here is a thread with all the informations/guides/roms for the dual sim variant: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2495697
Pressing volume up and power after going to recovery helped me going to go recovery options just like Samsung recovery
I wiped data and cleared cashed partition too this time
But its still stuck at logo screen

it's not HTC in general it's the duel sim version you have is very rare and little support
The more obscure samsung phones have the same problem
for reference I am using windows 10 home x64
I saw quarx had a cm13 build for the l90 so i downloaded it, flashed it and whatnot. it didn't detect the sim card... okay no problem, i'll just reboot to recovery and reflash cm12.1. I was wrong, it wiped out twrp and installed the stock recovery. Not a single driver I try works, fastboot just loves toying with me. no matter what command i do, (unless it doesn't affect the device) fails with
"Failed (remote: unknown command)"
I zeroed out my laf to enable fastboot, but cant fix that without fastboot accepting commands.
And to top it all off, the phone no longer boots to anything but fastboot... Reeeeal [email protected]#ing convenient
please help..
What L90 model (variant)?
Download mode isn't available either? If you can't enter download mode, I think there are some commands for d405 and/or d415 that allows you to load fastboot img locally using adb. Or you can try the hardbrick unbrick tutorial (needs disassembling the phone).

Hey, I am in the exact same boat.
Phone: LG D405n
OS: CM12.1
I had CM12.1 installed, TWRP Recovery, and V20a unlocked bootloader .
I installed Xposed and now Cyanogenmod just is stuck in a boot loop and cant get to recovery either.
I cant even flash the original software since my PC gets a blue screen as I install the LG Driver. Error is lgnetandmodem.sys or something.
If I uninstall the driver the phone can connect to the PC but then LGMobileSupport Tool doesnt detect it.
What on earth do I do?!
Re-installing the latest drivers should fix the BSD on Windows, or you can try flashing kdz using another operational system or computer.
