Hi guys, I'm using Revelations rom and had the brightness notification bar. I then have installed a tool to make the bottom bar transparent. And I lost the brightness bar. Any ideas what needs to be installed to get it back?
restore the systemui.apk from the rom.
If you want both mods you will integreate them yourself before flashing. Both mods replace that file so just flashing mods the will get rid of the other one.
Decompile them both and combine the mods before recompiling them and then flash it,
Thanks gregbradley. I did as instructed and the only thing I saw changing was my wallpaper being reset to its default. Is there any chance that something else needs to be replaced as well?

hi guys. im new to this forum and would like some help on how to change the status bar on my milestone(droid).. my phone is rooted and i have metamorph installed and am running android 2.1 stock.
When i apply a theme to other apks from metamorph everything is fine but when i try to apply it to the framework-res.apk my phone reboots and nothing is changed i also tried to use AndoidCommander to pull the framework-res.apk manually, change the images and put it back in but it doesnt change any help pls? Thanks
Wrong section, and try using the search function.
sorry which forum is it supposed to be in?
also i tried to search but nothing seemed to work
ok guys i managed to at least push the apk using the terminal app.. but everytime it reboots everything starts to force close and i have to reinstall the sbf using rsd lite... do you know what im doing wrong please?
Um well I don't bother with theming myself, but in the absence of any more helpful responses, if you're running a stock ROM I imagine it's odex'ed & you can't theme an odex'ed ROM. You could look into deodexing the ROM but aiui it's quite a bit of work. Probably easier to find a custom ROM you like, which isn't odex'ed & start from that. E&OE.
thanks for replying mate the problem is that the milestone cannot run custom ROMs due to a locked bootloader... the problem is that i can mod all the apks except the framework-res.apk, which when modified using the terminal app, makes all the applications force close..
EDIT: ok i tried to deodex the modified framework-res.apk and push it on the phone but still didn't work any help guys?
I have searched everywhere and tried everything to get Spare parts to work on stock froyo rom. I've extracted the .apk from other roms with no luck, then I figured I would extract the .apk from a froyo built rom, and that didn't work. All I want to do is customize my status (notification) bar. Does anyone know if this is even possible or is their a different program I can use? I used to have it on CM 5.0.7.1 and it worked great.
Thanks
Anyone? I just need to be pointed in the right direction. Can someone explain why the spare parts apk in CM 5.0.7.1 can change notification bar, but when you use the same apk on a different rom it installs and displays, but doesn't work. Does it have something to do with the framework?
Okay so far ive installed paragon rc4, cognition 3.04, and assonance 5.2. What Im trying to do seems like it should be simple I want the battery icon from uot kitchen version c with the grey numbers.
I tried running everyone of the framework.apk files thru uot like it told me too with all three roms and everytime i do it wont let me download just gives me a error report. I tried to install a couple mods with clockwork mod it gets stuck in bootloop.
Ive been looking for two days and cant figure out what Im missing. I just wanna theme the icons on the status bar so they look similar to how they do on my hd2 runnin core droid.
Please help. Im kinda new at this but ive reflashed my phone with odin like 55 times trying to get this right.
Paragon seems to be the fastest but I cant deal with all the green Im kinda ocd about that lol. There may not be a way. I cant find a rom that looks the way I want.

Like the status bar on here I know its a sense ui i just want the status bar to look the same.
If I had to guess, there's a problem with the Nine Patch data. I know that I had no clue how to do it until like Serendipity 3 or something, and that a lot of themes have bad ninepatch data.
Download APK Manager and try and decompile it. If the log.txt talks about missing nine patch data in xxxx.9.png then that is the problem.
Hey guys. Can someone point me to the right direction for this. If possible an easier way. It seems i can't find anything.
I have rooted V20b stock rom. I want to change the battery indicator in the notificaiton bar. It is a very useless icon. I have to replace it! But i dont wanna flash a whole rom just for that.

Thanks. I looked at the website. So how will this work. I am gonna install CWM. Will rebooting into recovery make me lose all my data? Do i need to do anything before that? I've never used CWM. I just flashed the new rom and don't wanna re-install everything again.
Don't mind the question. I figured it out myself. Therad can be closed/deleted.
