Factory reset doesn't delete the backup, that is stored in the SDcard (or emulated SDcard?)
Edit: Anyway you can flash the "full stock" ROM found in the development section

Before flashing you should have tried to make sure the backup file was there (select restore in the menu before flashing); Maybe there's a bug in the CWM

Can someone please help me with deodexing my stock .244 rom. I have used universal deodexer v4..While deodexing the apks first it shows "unable to access baksmali.jar" and "classes.dex not found". But it says deodexing successful. And when I pushed the deodexed apks and framework to my phone using adb, my phone ended up in a bootloop. What should I do? I really want to deodex my stock rom.

There's a few different options, if you can't get it to work then ask on the xUltimate thread or try a different method. Also make sure you read the instructions carefully.

I was already on stock 244 firmware running doom's kernel. After pushing the deodexed apps and framework my phone had a bootloop. So I tried flashing the stock 244 kernel and pushed again and this time it booted. Then after booting it showed nfc and keyboard stopped.I flashed doom's kernel again and wiped everything in recovery but the problem still persisted.

Did you wipe the dalvik before rebooting? I've never had an issue so not sure why you are. I download a stock ftf, extract and run the system.img through the kitchen, flash and root the stock fw, flash the deodexed files and wipe the dalvik, reboot, done.

Extract the sin then with the flashtool you need to extract the data -Tools/Sin Editor/Extract data which will give you a system.ext4 file, simply change the extension from ext4 to img, then you can use that with the kitchen.

Did it.Thanks
Tried to build stock but deodexed and rooted 244 rom..Just ended up in status 0 error..Guess i have to find a solution to this problem and its done.
By the way i can use doom's kernel in the rom during cooking in place of the stock kernel by directly copying boot.img to the working folder without any problems right? Thanks again for your help.
Hey,
Do not know if it is possible, but is there a .ftfwith CWM available?
I'm going to do some testing and if I would get met phone in a bootloop a ftf file with CWM and Root in it already would be usefull so I can restore my backup(without having to flash stock rom and then kernel). If someone could supply me a link?
Regards

No, it can be possible. A ftf its untouched sony software in a propietary format (.sin), you cant modify it and then recompile it...its impossible.
Only thing you can do is flash a stock firmware, root, install cwm or twrp and then restore a previous backup. Or: If you have a unlocked bootloader put a custom kernel, it will have CWM or TWRP or both, so you can restore a backup.

Thanks, I already thought so but then somebody told me something else and I got confused, my plan was to flash a kernel with CWM too. Thanks
Guys please help
I flashed a custom rom and it got a lil messed up..
I've downloaded an ftf file but I have no idea on how to flash it.
I havent made any backup,my bad.
I'm using C5302
If you look a bit futher you will see a easy guide made by me about how to get back to stock without the use of flash tool
You have to download flashtool to flash an ftf file if you don't have any backup you lose your data but once you flash the ftf you're going to be fine
If you haven't unlocked your bootloader you can also use Sony's update service (SUS) to restore your phone.

Did you use the same zip file? Try to copy your zip file to your computer, then extract it, if it's error while extracting, then your problem is corrupted file. Try to flash other zip file, like theme, or etc, just to make sure your problem is your corrupted zip file.

Try this,
Wipe everything in recopovery, flash a .534 FTF, install dualrecovery, flash SuperSU from chainfire.
Try flashing advance kernel by doomlord..then try flashing again..
Did u flash 4.4 ftf before u unlock the bootloader?
If thats the case 4.4 kernel has probelems in mounting the system in recovery..

Its not the kernel, it was old versions of recovery that did that. If you are on the latest dual recovery OR DooMKerneL there will be no issues with mount.
