they do, but youll never notice unless you look at your version number. the market updated itself in the background(eventually).

Can Market upgrade himself if I using custom ROM, or only on stock one?

So far I see the settings let you set pin for purchases. Also +1 button added to all apps. Anyone else sees anything else? Seems snapier too.

I see what you did there >:3

The old one was better ... it was simple and light ... this got installed by itself and it sucks ...

i don't know what happened but now most of the apps say that are not compatible with my device? i don't know exactly when this started. i have some updates via appbrain but can't do them?!?

Finally I got the new Market 3.1.3 on my Nexus S Stock ROM 2.3.4.
It updated by itself on 2011-08-31.

Also, the Verizon Galaxy Nexus has a work around way to get it from the market.

Here is the vid to the work around!! It works flawlessly on my T-Mobile Nexus S running stock 4.0.3!

Can't wait to install this later! I have an ATT iphone 4S from work and i swap the SIM into my Nexus S when I get home at night.

Had the same problem until I flashed evilistos ICS rom with full wipe... =] installed on its own.

I believe Wallet requires ICS.

I used the Galaxy Nexus workaround to get this working on my T-Mobile Nexus S. Thanks!

I recently flashed back to 2.3.4 on my NS4G and it said it was not supported. When I updated to 2.3.7 it did not display that message.

Wallet app does have many bugs and it doesn't work in some countries. I have many 'force close's while i was using it

I'm guessing since wallet needs ics to work that means ics is coming really soon to the i9020a

I installed it on my T-Mobile Nexus S (I9023) by going into airplane mode and then connecting with wifi. You may have to clear browser history

Google Playstore v 3.7.11 (Stripped from Jelly Bean 4.1)

Well, I just updated my Google Playstore app to v 3.7.11. So far, nothing significant changes had been done. Maybe because of my location right now. So, I'm not sure about others.

I updated mine yesterday morning and I have had no problems everything updates in fact maps and books and a few other apps downloaded updates right after install and all options show up for me.

How is it possible to tell if the install worked? I have run the apk, and it says it installed sucessfully, but there I cant really see any difference.
Do I have to put the apk file in a specific location or just run the install?

You can check the version at setting menu in Play Store.
Same as mine. Almost non changes except in Editor's choices UI..
Maybe because of region support. Some will receive like the 3rd post one.

I've just updated my google maps but I can't run it. I have been signed up in to google with my account but as I touch the button "Accept" yet it takes few seconds and displays this error message.
I am connected but I don't know why it happens.
I don't know what to do and can't find any solution.

7.x maps didnt work for me properly on stock roms. google even refused to auto-update them from 6.x, and when i did so manually, had all sorts of issues. it might be connected

I do know that by uninstalling the update the old version would work properly, but Is there any way to use the new 7 version ?

Hello,
I have been trying to figure out for ages why my phone isn't getting the 7.x from the playstore, and reading this post it looks like other 4X owners are also having the same issue.
I too I sideloaded 7.x and eventually had to revert back to 6.14.4 (latest version for the 4x from Google Play) as the 7.x was too unstable and kept crashing.
Pretty poor if you ask me, considering that an ancient HTC Incredible S is able to run 7.x very well....
If anyone has a clue of how to run 7.x on a stock 4.1.2 Android install I'm all ears..
