Files won't delete

I'm having a problem to delete any file from my storage card in my Tilt, which started just a couple of days ago: everytime I delete some files, they are again re-created after some seconds. It seems to happen to any type of file. I even tried to power off the Tilt, then take the card out of its slot, change the card contents in the PC using the card reader, then plugging the card again in Tilt and restarting - no change. The old files are still there and the new ones not.
Any ideas???
Thanks.
Ummm are the files actually on the card , or on the phone ?
Worst case , save what you want and re-format the card.
Make bether name on youre post, how to does not make it kinda obviouse what the post contains. What files are you trying to delete? Liek is it a program or a folder with perhaps some .dll`s in it?
OK. I think the problem is really in the microSD card. I tried formatting it using several tools, failing each time - sometimes, the tools say the card is read-only, other times simply finish the process successfully but when I look again, everything is still there. So, I guess I should go and buy a new card, right?
At least I could make a backup copy of it...
how are u formatting the microSD card? on the phone or are u using a computer?

I'm using my computer and have tried several apps to do it, with no success, unfortunately
are you using a microsd adapter, and if yes......did you check the lock switch on the adapter?

Yes, I'm using a microsd adapter. I have also tried several different positions of the locker, as I read somewhere that, sometimes, the actual position for write-access is slightly in the middle... No luck though

Damaged SD Card

Does anyone know why Android would see the sd card as damaged and the card be fine?
Like I turnoff usb storage and then it will not use the card but if I reboot into recovery I can mount it and copy files fine as well as put it in a card reader and it is fine there too?
Any ideas on how to fix this without a complete format?
Happened to me too once. Everything looked fine even in recovery. My pc could recognize files when I mounted and everything. But in phone it said damaged SD card.
I copied all files to pc, reformatted and all is well...
since there is no damage to the card there has to be another way to do it though. That is what I am saying.

Not sure how much your card worth for you but if I where you I would take the 5 minute and remove the card backup and format it...
Flash can easily get corrupted it usually happen when you move the card from one device to another without proper stopping and even for no reason at all!
Can you explain me why you think the card is good if the hardware tell otherwise ???
The first time I rebooted my Nexus One it told me the card was unreadable and offered to format it. Since there's no way (I can see?) to remove the card without removing the battery, I rebooted the phone, put it in my laptop, ran a filesystem check, no problems. Put it back in the phone and booted, haven't seen the problem since.

Because my computer has no problems with card at all. Data can be moved around and read just fine. Just the phone thinks there is a problem. I am guess that something is telling android there is a problem when no other device sees it. That is why I believe the card is fine.
Same problem here, let me know if you've found a solution
i've had that same problem. just fully formatted it..16GB card.

SD card damaged

Hey guys,
Did a search and didn't really find an answer.
A couple of days ago my Nook all of a sudden doesn't recognize my HP 16gb SD card. So I took it out, rebooted the Nook and everything was fine again.
Now this morning it doesn't see the SD card again and now it's telling me that the SD card is damaged. I can't even do a Titanium Backup because it can't get to the file on the SD card. Is there anything I can do or is my SD card hosed? I'd HATE to lose all the stuff I have on the card.
Sounds like you are running a bootable SD. Can you boot into recovery if you put the sd in and use power + n? If so you might be able to make a nadroid backup.
Have you tried the card in a pc and is it recognized that way? If so you might be able to pull your last backup file off of the card. It might not be everything you have now but depending on how often you backup could get you most of the way there.
If you can get a backup either way, save it to your pc format the card start from scratch and then use the backup to restore to where you want to be. It is a good idea to make frequent backups and save them to a secondary location (e.g. dropbox or the pc) for this very reason.

No I'm not running a bootable card. The only way I even noticed that something was wrong was when I couldn't access my books with the Nook app. I'll try reading the card on my PC when I get home from work today.
I'm getting the same thing here. 8GB and not booting from card.

Try to find some way of throwing it into a computer. See if a friend has A media card reader and a micro sd to sd adapter. If that doesn't work you might be sol. You should still be under warranty so you can get a replacement. Backing up important information though is a priority though. No matter what, back up

I had the same thing recently. The computer could see the card and even the files at first but couldn't do anything with them. After I gave up on copying the files off the card I tried to format and that wouldn't work either. I hope you guys have better luck than I did.

My Bionic always has trouble with extra sd card

Hi, I bought one here:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007KFXIDE/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i01
Then I found that from time to time my binoic (official .905 rom) cannot recognize it. Either some folders disappears, or the whole card cannot be found. Trying to unmount the card from settings>storage doesn't work. I have to physically pull it out and plug it in again to make it work. Also, some files physically lost forever.
Is this a known issue? I'm wondering is this an Android issue or this card itself has defects.
Thanks.
Did you format it when you first put it in phone?

Help with MicroSD card.

ok, so my microsd card is a samsung 64gb hc/hx? Computer says HX, microsd card says HC... class 10.
I've been putting music on it etc, then when reboot my phone, it like restores to an older stage, files will delete themselves, folders i deleted reappear and the new music is gone etc.. I do it again, same thing happens. Its extremely frustrating.
I notice ill put an apk on there, the icon changes, and it wont open the apk also.
Ive formatted my sd card on both computer and on the phone but the problem remains...
Here an image of a zip when trying to open, it was recently put on the sd and opened fine before rebooting.

Same problem here. Any solution?
Are you doing this from the phone? Are you on KK?
If so you need to Google "third party write to sd card restrictions on KitKat "
The solution is to root and apply the write to sd card fix

Root and fix done. The same thing happens if I copy files from pc to micro sd. When I put micro sd in the phone, directory and files above 8/10gb disappear.
You have a broken or dodgy sd card then.
I bought a 64 gig card of eBay write cheap but it was really a 4 gig card formatted to look like a 64 gig one...

Tried with 3 different micro sd. The result was the same.
