Latest CM Builds for MB886 - Motorola Atrix HD

I just thought I would share, epinter and thomas's ROM databases aren't updated very often for CM (latest build I've seen is from August 27th), so here is where to grab all of our latest builds!

7.1.0 stable = nightly #143 IIRC, so it's just older version of CM7..just go with latest nightly. You can read changes from changelog.
thank you
you use it . have you any problems with this nightly version ?

No I haven't noticed any problems so far..but I have used this only for 1 day so it's too early to say anything certain..
ok
i will test it also
thank you
Nightly is the latest and greatest cutting edge from CM, but is also more prone to more bugs. Stable is better for new CM users, or for those that "heavily rely" on their CM phones as their main or only phones...

You could ask about them on the official CM7 thread. I would suggest flashing the latest Nightly, however.
thank you upichie
i ask but no answer
i will try th nightly version
There are certain problems that are known and have yet to be fixed with CM7. Developers are continuously updating it though—and that is what the Nightlies are (a new build released every night). If your problems are known issues, it may be awhile before you see a fix. But there may be simple solutions to fix whatever problems you're having.
thank you
i wait for new stable version because i can t use many application with cm7 . it fast and very nice

The only applications you should have trouble getting to work are the Samsung ones. The reason they don't work is because they are dependent on Samsung's framework, which obviously isn't found in CM7.
Every other application, if supported by your phone, should work just fine.

Not always, I've had a few nightly builds go wrong but isn't hard to make a nandroid backup. If in doubt use a stable build, I personally like the latest work from the CM7 team

That is nothing new with CM and AOSP builds. They have know app compatibility issues. Some apps just will not work like Screenshot it. It will work on every custom rom except for CM and any rom built off of it/
sorry for ignorance

There are 2 stable versions
Cm7

[ROM][4/14/12] CyanogenMod 7.2 Stock UNOFFICIAL Builds by C908

C908 Stock UNOFFICIAL Builds for CyanogenMod 7.2
Since the build bot is still down (for the most part) for CM7 builds, I decided to pitch in and make my own. Pons decided to make his awesome UNOFFICIAL builds with cherry picks, and not just the stock merged/approved commits, so mine is completely stock with no experimental cherry picks for people who want that type of experience.
Download the UNOFFICIAL builds
Gapps
CM7 Nightly Changelog
All credits go to the CyanogenMod team, of course. Built with Ubuntu.

Hmm, that's weird. I just downloaded the file without issue from the server. I'll switch to another host if other users report this problem.

New build is up for 3/16/2012. Changed around the file names a bit as well to make them more legible/consistent.

Just put a new build up. It includes all of the changes here (above "update-cm-7.2.0-RC1-inc-signed.zip"), from "PatternUnlockScreen" down.
New build is up with these latest fixes from the CM repo.

I feel like this is more suiting for me than Pons' kangs, Ever thought about building a rom based off CM? Say like Inc-Deck or Condemned?

I've definitely considered it, but I don't really have the time to maintain a custom ROM based off CM7 while keeping it updated. Making KANGs is quick and easy, though. I might eventually make KANGs with experimental commits, but I'd prefer to test them first, which takes a while to do.
this has been my daily driver for a while now. One feature I like is that 7.2 has a built in sd transfer speed boost.
For what it's worth, the build bot appears to be back (for today?), and it generated a new nightly with all of the latest fixes in the CM repository. You can get it here:
http://download.cyanogenmod.com/get...e/update-cm-7-20120410-NIGHTLY-inc-signed.zip
And the torrent is here:

I get random reboots with the new cm nightly. I will stick to this. New kang coming?

Strange. I flashed over pons latest kang with the nightly and it worked just fine. Did you try wiping data?
New CM seems to have fixed themes not being used on the volume toast dialog so you'd get the stock android colors on it which i hated.. so.. hooray!
New build is up with the latest fixes. Sorry about the delay.

Different versions CyanogenMod

hey guys, do not know much about the CyanogenMod roms, I wonder what the difference between the versions and nightly snapshot?
Sorry for my bad English.

The Snapshot is a stable point where almost everything worked 100%. A couple of bugs that most people will miss and a few that is annoying but doesn't make it unstable.
The nightlies are not so well tested and receive commits from the main CM branch. They include the latest bugfixes and features but it might not be as stable.

First correct me if I'm wrong, other ppl like xonar_ definitly know more about it.
CM 7 is GB
CM 9 is ICS
CM 10 is JB
nighlys are done everyday and not much tested, I heard there are done automaticaly by a build robot
M snapshots are more tested and seem to come out every month
RC is tested a lot and the CM ppl think it is stable, if they find errors in it there will be another RC that corrects the errors, if not it will be declared stable

Everything is correct except nightly. Nightlys are only built when there are commits. Everyday means that the dev of the phone for CM has done a commit. That's why this week its everyday.

Not just the develeoper of the phone. We also receive commits from the main CM10 branch. If you look at the device specific and kernel commits then you'll see that new nightlys are sometimes being released without there being any changes too them. CM10 still has bugs on the main branch and those bugs can be fixed by any person at CM not just our awesome phone developer rmcc.

In this case, they are automatically released, this is why a later version "nightly" can not contain an adjustment that had been made in the last version (as in the case of video recording in our CM10 that worked in past releases and the latest does not work), leaving only when another snapshot version is that everything was done correctly should not it contain?
Snapshot or Release Candidates
Thanks for you wonderful explanation guys, but this might be a noobish question, if I were to choose or you are, would you pick snapshot or RC's?
Thanks! :good:

Depends on how close to the RC the snapshot is....
A snapshot from the day after a RC should be almost identical to the RC, plus (hopefully) fixes.
A snapshot far after a release could be introducing a bunch of new features (and bugs to go with them).
I'd be more interested in reading snapshot changelogs, relative to the last release or release candidate.

[Q] Will it be possible to OTA update UNOFFICIAL CM10 FXP ROM with CM-Updater?

Will it be possible to OTA update UNOFFICIAL CM10 FXP ROM's, like in the http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2049235 thread, with CM-Updater?
It will not be, it is. I'm doing it every day. Well, I did it every day before the nightlies stopped for an unknown reason two days ago.
It seems to be a common CM10 problem though, not SEMC or XT specific, there were no new nightlies for many devices past January 7.

So the answer is that one can OTA update only to official cyanogenmod nightlies, if they were built with cyanogenmod buildservers, correct?
It works from cm nightly to cm nightly, build by buildbot jenkins, correct.
If FXP simply doesnt work or if FXP would simply update to the latest cm nightly, that I don't know.
FXP to FXP does not work for sure though, the updater is unable to poll one-click hosters which is what team FXP uses.
What they could do, is switch from rapidshare&co to goo.im for example, because there's a goo manager on the playstore (?) which would work when updated builds appear on goo. The goo manager is also device sensitive. Utacka, releasing an "unofficial" PA nightly for the Galaxy Note did this, very convenient for updating highly similar and standardised builds and packages outside the pure cm sphere.
Thank you very much for clarification. I think it's worth to add it to the FAQ.

Assuming you're on milaq's nightlies, there's links in the first post of his thread for the changelogs.
Peace.
I've looked at the posts and don't see a link to a changelog. Maybe I'm just not looking in the right place. Can you point it out to me.
Thanks
AGP
Underneath the links for rom/gapps are links for changes to cm10.1 :
Quote: Upstream changes, devicetree commits, Kernel commits, Wifi driver commits
Cheers
