hi guys, I've already read somewhere that stock camera can not be ported to cm, but what is not clear to me if that is really impossible, or it is a (very) hard job. can you please explain it to me?
I am asking this because when I bought the xperia t, the other phone I was interested on was the p880 (O4X HD), then I went for the xperia t. but looking in the O4X forum section I saw they have ported the stock camera to cm10.1, so I guessed that was possible also for the sony
..if that would be possible, I would be happy to donate for some willing devs if they worked on this port, and I am pretty sure many others would do the same :fingers-crossed:

I'm a user of xperia TX.Up to now , there's no stable version Cyanogenmod ROM for me to use.However, Xperia T has already had some stable version.I think T&TX are totally the same except appearance.I am curious what are the differences between them.By the way,I am looking forward to using a AOKP which is perfect.

There has also been a big discussion as to why there is no cm10 Rom for the tx, it basically boils down to the fact that no devs on the cm team have a tx and no one with a tx has stepped up and volunteered to help them or learn how to do it themselves

There is no chance someone manage to do that. This ROM need the sony framework which cm has not. Porting it to cm10.1 would be like porting it to any device !

Hi guys i'm quite new to z1 and I'm looking for a .290 based rom, which one will u guys recommend me??
I'm looking for high performance, deodex, and maybe some cool tweak. Hope i can remain the original interface since it looks cool enough for me
I dont care about battery life for now since it's enough.

there are not many roms, choose from nuts, monx or ihackers.
As the Sony Xperia Z1 is kind-of-new, there aren't too many ROMs for it. Devs are working on some issues about unlocking bootloader and firmwares. I suggest waiting for them to do their job, cheer them up and consider make a donation. In my case I'm looking forward to use MIUI on my Xperia Z1.
It's all a matter of preference.
I've got Doomkernel installed and I'm constantly switching between monx and ihackers roms.
There are bits I like from each of them that the other doesn't have.Still haven't decided which one to settle on just yet.
As suggested, best way is to just flash, use it and flash again and find one that you like.

The best combo for me is: Stock .290 rom, rooted with Doom kernel v.6 (unlocked bootloader) and use Xposed with Gravity Box

i'm using the jellyslim rom, the guy did a really great job, first 4.3 rom i can use without problems and lags.
it's not deodexed for now, but the dev said he will release and deodexed version soon.
other than that the rom is perfect.
It's a new device so recommend a rom at the moment it's not recommended. :laugh:
Been using Monx's rom since the off with the 4.4 launcher from the Nexus and it's superb, no problems at all.

My name is Andreas from Germany and I just sold my Xperia S for a ZL. For the last few months I was stuck with combo of Nature Xperia Rom and Doom Kernel cause of incredible battery Life. Now Ive opened up my BL and wondered what ROM/Kernel Combo to choose for ZL since Ive found no real advice in the threads. Even If its worth trying KK Rom instead of 4.3 based?!?!

Hey German Dude, I think this thread match better with the q&a forum
You have to find your own best Rom yourself, someone like stock because Bravia and remote, some like cm because the customisation options and always stay latest android. Since you have unlocked bootloader you can try every rom you can found here in zl section.
I'am a flashaholic, I flash new rom near every 5 days.
If you need help, don't be shy and ask

The best 4.4 ROMs in my eyes are carbon & Luiquidsmooth.
CM has regular updates, lineup Linaro mod CM is supposed to be extremely optimised on the hardware, maybe it's the best way to go.
I am waiting (and hoping) for Sailfish OS and currently using simple CyanogenMod 10.2 (android 4.3). It's really easy going. Fast, smooth, stable, statisfying

For stock experience try eXistenZ by niaboc79 with 78Kernel by Gustavo RD78. Very good battery life.

Bro Adding to the same topic. I wanna use Kitkat ROM. Will be unlocking bootloader soon. Which is stable most and faster ROM CM or CM bases. and I have another question Xperia Camera features are great. so what would you guys suggest. i have been used to rooting and all that stuffs. so is it worth changing ROM from Stock to CM. only two things are stopping me IR and Camera . now that IR is working with some App on CM. Im really confused

I love the 4.1 stock look of SONY and the "fluidity" (I don't think it's the right word xD) of the stock 4.1, but i love new features of new 4.4.4 ROM (On LBL) so i've try to make it myself but it's too BIG!! DEVS are so STRONG LOL!!!! it' not for me.
So i ask to dev if some one can make it... PLEASEEE! xD

There are already quite allot of ROMs available.
Just try a few out and see which one suits you best.

I think i've already tested all LBL ROMS of Xperia sp and i think the stock 4.1've better lokk than new kitkat but the kitkat's features are cool ^^
