Searching for automatic 2G/4G Toggle - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi guys,
does anyone know an app that will automatically toggle to 2G while on wifi or display off in order to save battery?
I already tried tasker and cpu tuner but those do not work.
Thanks!

Just found a solution for myself
Intelli3g (on google play store). Needs xposed framework. working great on my stock Samsung Galaxy Note 2

Null Rom Notifications without Gear Manager

Hey all,
For anyone with a gear but without a Samsung phone, I've just noticed that Tablet Notifier (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gnst.app.eventmirror&hl=en) will send notifications to the Gear with no Gear Manager needed.
I'm running an Xperia Ultra with a stock rom (4.2.2) and no problems for custom notifications. See the following here:
https://www.youtube.com/edit?video_id=ASoX0qYvzUc
Hope it helps someone
Thanks

It worked, but they don't tear open the notifications and get the text just the title, which is annoying.
tablet notifier shows that it cannot connect despite my gear already being paired to my lg g2.

Did you flash with null rom? (see the stickies) Were you running the notifier on your phone?
My Galaxy gear install NULL_23 rom and paired to LG G2 . I had turn on the accessibility of Tablet Notifier in system setting but still not work. (I just test the Hangouts)
i wonder if this works better then tablet talk app ( meaning it doesn't crash and eats up less battery life)
one of the reviewer, might be on XDA?>

Works great - just that eats a little to much power I use this on the galaxy gear rooted with NULL rom and paired with Nexus 4 and works great... I have all the notifications i want on my watch while my phone stays in pocket on silent! Awesome job guys! this app was exactly what I've need it! Bus as i've said, the only problem is that drains the battery of the watch a little to much, but i only use it when i truly need it.

Bluetooth Tethering Toggle

Hi guys,
I just develop (my first android dev) the free app "Bluetooth Tethering Toggle" to be able to switch on/off the internet tethering bluetooth connection without to use the bluetooth settings each time. It works with the fOmey rom and others android platforms > 4.0.3, no root needed.
This application works only if tethering already works before and if the devices are paired.
Hope it will be usefull...
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.spac.BluetoothTetheringToggle
[Many thanks to fOmey for his great job and rom]
Very nice, thanks works well on nova launcher

You not need to install it on your phone, just on your gear (if you want to use internet with the gear over your phone by tethering.)
After install it on your Gear, add the widget on your gear and toggle it.

hi,
If you want to connect your Gear watch to internet over your phone, you must install the app on the watch gear only and add the widget "Bluetooth Tethering Toggle" on the desktop of your Gear.
it's the same when you go into the bluetooth settings of your Gear Watch (with the fOmey's ROM) and you select the tethering checkbox client.
(If you want to connect your tablet to internet over your phone, you must install the app on the tablet only and add the widget "Bluetooth Tethering Toggle" on the desktop of your tablet.
If you want to connect your phone A to internet over an other phone B, you must install the app on the first phone A only and add the widget "Bluetooth Tethering Toggle" on the desktop of your phone A.)
Just a suggest : can you hide the name under toggle? Because I don't use a classic grid (I use 5x3) and so I have to expand widget for see all the words... Maybe without name can be more nice and less intruder!
Sent from my GT-I9505 using xda app-developers app
I ll do some tests and bring a solution. Not easy because the widget works on any android devices, not only Gear.. I don t find a sample to make a widget as a real icon with same title... (if someone knows, thank you for the help)
Thanks for developing this! So much easier to turn on tethering now!

Updated! Now seems perfect mate!!! Great work!
I´we noticed that when I have the bluetooth tether connected all the time, my Note 3 drains battery in high grade.
Your widget/app works fine to enable bt tether but I dislike the idea of doing it manually when I need internet connection.
So I have a Request:
Is it possible to add a setting that automatically enables bt tether after an set amount of time from that the screen is turned on?
Not straight away when it turns on since I don´t need internet access when I only turn on the Gear for a short time watching the clock for example.
And it ofcourse needs to turn the bt tether off again when the screen goes off.
Is this possible to do? Or does anyone have another idea of how doing this automatic?
Thanks for a great app btw!

This could be done with Tasker Intents, or with Tasker Secure Settings but only IF the app/widget allows the Intent to toggle the connection.
I tried but it seems the intent was not there in Secure Settings.
I will look at the manifest file and see if the Intent "allow toggling" can be called from Tasker Intent plugin

Yeah I thought so to, but it would be nice to have it included in the app.
A question about Tasker, I own the Direct Download-version of Tasker and use it on my Note 3, is it possible to use the same license on my Gear or am I forced to but another licence for every device?

Yes, I will see what I can do to include this option inside the app. and include a retry/auto too for disconnections..
(with tasker, I must try the app before to understand how it works; no information about: what I must add in the manifest file ?)

[Q] Galaxy Gear and LG G3

Hi XDA
Recently i dropped my Galaxy S4, the AMOLED screen broke. Instead of ordering a new screen i got a LG G3 instead. I have the Galaxy Gear which i adore and would like to use it with my G3. Is this possible? I've been away from most recent developments in the community. I was running Null's rom.
I do plan to fix my S4 and get a replacement screen. Which place do you recommend me?
I have n5 an Installed galaxy gear
This is what I used

I know that null is awesome but the notification with atn ( my g3 need it otherwise i had no notification) are not so good....
With tizen after 56 hr from the full charge, always connected, i had 70% of battery left.

I'm going to be picking up the g3 as long as I can get my watch to work with it. Just want to make sure, do the volume controls for media, phone calls, and weather all work for on the g3 and gear? Oh, and also the template replies since s-voice will not work.

Here my guide:
1- uninstall gear manager with all related apks and reboot;
2- install this gear manager;
3- pair the watch with your phone and check that all works correctly;
4- uninstall goprovider and install this
5- re-enable the notication access in phone settings;
that's all.... i also installed this app that works very good and gave me some custom watchfaces...
With the above configuration i have a really good battery drain... always connected i lose about 1% - 2% max for all night.

"Wanam Xposed is a malware" notification

I already posted on the wanam xposed page but I have moved here to avoid confusion.
Some days ago I received a notification on my S3 Neo that wanam Xposed is a malware and to uninstall . I tapped ok and it uninstalled automatically. I had the last version from a long time and I had no problem since this notification (I'm pretty sure that was from google settings app). I was using this module from months with no problem...
Anyone knows something about it?
@wanam ?
Today I tried to reinstall it from the xposed app and i received the screen attached.

They asked me to remove it from the PlayStore because it disables some Knox services and fakes the system status, and that's what i did months ago, so i'm not surprised they are now flagging it as a malware package.

Ok
It's most likely to do with the SElinux mode setting to permissive on wanam. Android does this too with the SELinuxModeChanger too.

I did that but i still get the warning. And when i uncheck verify apps (in android Settings) it goes back to being checked after a restart. Security Updates is also unchecked. My Note 2 with stock 4.4.2 is rooted.
Has anyone figured this out beyond disabling the Google App setting? I only recently started to get the "Wanam Xposed can damage your device" notification.
From your notifications long press the warning, select app info, uncheck notifications.

Switch to 3G during calls?

Hi y'all,
I'm on a ROM that has issues with LTE - basically audio fails if I answer a call while I'm on 4G. So I want to set up a Tasker profile that toggles off 4G when a call comes in, and turns it back on when I hang up or the call otherwise ends. My ROM (Liquid Remix for ZTE Axon 7, based on Lineage 16) has a LTE toggle in Quick Settings, but the Secure Settings plugin doesn't want to work.
Any ideas?
PS This issue exists on every Pie ROM I've tried, so I can't just switch to a different ROM.

The secure settings plugin works - just not the LTE action. It says "A CM9/AOKP ROM and an LTE radio are required to use this feature." Something in my ROM must be incompatible... or maybe I've got an out-of-date version of the app?
