Hi, apologies for noob question. Could some one give me advice on which kernel to use to root the following phone
New to rooting so an easy/stable kernel would be good

Hello people.
I was looking at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2030758 for some time now and I really want to try to root my phone but don't want it bricked nor anything.
So, my Phone info:
Model number: GT-S6500D
Android Version: 2.3.6
KErnel Version: 2.6.38.6-1214151
My question is:
Am I good to go?
Should I follow that guide or some other one?

root your phone first and then u must have a clockworkmod...
now u can flash custom rom's on your phone

if you follow the instructions carefully you should have no problems, then enjoy ur fone with the great roms available here
