Hey everyone,
It's been awhile since I last tried stock but I've come to realise that the home button lags when you press it. For example, if you go into the Apps screen then press 'Back' then it goes straight back to the Home screen straight away, but if you press the 'Home' button it waits for a half a second.
I'm probably not the only person who has noticed this and wondering if there is some sort of way to fix it.
Thank you

Help! HTC raphael - tried every rom there is and still can't believe all the buttons I have to push to end a call and go home. First, the screen blacks out while on a call, so when the call is over I have to hit the power button to bring the screen back, then hit the end button (assuming the screen hasn't magically gone to something else), then hit an x button to leave the caller's page, then hit the home button, then the power button to turn off the screen again.
Does anyone know of an app that can simply end a call and go home with one touch? Maybe a better dialer is what I mean? Thanks.
Mortscript & button mapping could resolve this.
Hi guys, I just got my new replacement Bell Samsung galaxy S and have gotten things running on it again, but the damn thing keeps going into some weird screen capture.
What happens is that when I hit the "back" button it will go dark and the "menu" button will light up. repeatedly hitting the back button will do nothing, and hitting the menu button will do nothing. Pressing the center "home" button will take a picture of what I have displayed on the screen.
I go and check my running applications and it shows this "screen capture service" running. I stop it and then I continue on what I'm doing and it happens again, going back to the running apps and it is back.
The only way it seems I can use my "back" button is if i hit the "volume" button on the side and then both the "back" and "menu" buttons will light up, and then I have to wait until they both go dark before I can hit the "back" button and have it work. if I hit it will they are lit up it goes back into the screen capture "mode"
The phone came in the mail with I9000UGJL2, firmware 2.2.
Any advice on how to permanently kill that damn screen capture thing would be greatly appreciated because it is driving me nuts. I get a way with maybe 2 "back" button pushes where it works and then it goes into that mode
Same problem...
Samsung Galaxy S i9000 (Facinate)
It seems that by pressing the back button too quickly puts you in the Screen Capture mode...Back button dims but the Menu button stays lit. I found that if I push the Home button that take s the screen shot, then wait for both the Menu and Back button to come on and then lowlight, I can then hit the back button and continue on for a while?
Package name: com.sec.android.app.screencapture
Source: /system/app/ScreenCaptureService.apk
Please, I would like to find out more about this app in order to try and control it. It really slows moving back when you have to wait for the Menu and Back buttons to lowlight before you can hit the back button again!
Just after posting the above, I was able to Force Stop the package and I have not had a problem with the phone going into screen capture mode since.
Woohoo!
My i9100 built-in Screen Capture Service default output is png format. How can I change it to jpeg format?
It was working fine this morning, all of a sudden late in the afternoon, my screen keeps turning on and off as well as the phone option menu popping up nonstop (options that pop up when holding on the power button). im very frustrated as to what the problem is, i just want to fix it and get on with it.
im thinking its a problem with the home button with it sticking after you press it. any help will be appreciated. thanks
Why would you think home button?
Sounds like the POWER button is sticking to me...
Pressing the power/lock button brings up the lockscreen in about 2-3 seconds, taking so long as to make you unsure of whether or not you've pressed it, which can get aggravating.anybody solve it?like other phone, when we press power-lock button the screen on not delay 2-3 scnd
Thanks
My home screen keeps restarting when i press the home button after running an app. Is there a way to prevent the home screen from restarting? Its really annoying.
