[Q] Google Search --> Can't open microphone... - Galaxy S Advance I9070 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello!
I hope I can find some advice here. After installing Janice AOKP with Android 4.2.2 none of the voice searches work anymore. The error I keep getting after initializing is "Can't open microphone". I've searched the forum, tried clearing the caches and doing a factory reset in CWM, re-installed google seach,.. nothing.
Any advice?
Thanks in advance!

[Q] Constant Errors

Hi, I came here to XDA hoping to find an answer to my problem since I cant fix it by myself.
I keep getting errors like "process android.process.media has stopped" , "Unfortunately, the process com.google.process.gapps has stopped" and "Unfortunately, the process android.process.core has stopped" with an 'OK' to dismiss it.
They appear when I'm using applications mostly applications that require internet connection like Browser, Playstore, Talk, Contacts, Google Search, Messaging, Gmail sometimes the settings. After the error appears the app will force close.
Sometimes the error appears even if i'm not doing anything like every time i wake my phone up the errors are there.
I'm Currently Running on:
4.0.4 ICS
DarkROM_v11.0_Black_Edition
I kinda know how the problem started, those errors appeared after I rebooted my phone, but before that I installed a Data Fix to fix my Low memory issue via Recovery, when I rebooted my phone everything worked fine after I installed it. then when i rebooted it again to change my battery that's when the errors appeared. I tried some solutions like clearing the data on those apps like contacts storage etc.. I also tried deleting my Google accounts and adding them back again still doesn't work.
It's really annoying and I can't really do much since they constantly Pop-up every few seconds.
Any kind of help is appreciated. :good:
Oh and by the way Factory Reset or anything that deletes all of my Data, is my LAST RESORT.
I'm hoping to find a solution without doing that. because i have a ton of game data stored on my phone. and it will be a pain to back them up. but if I don't have any choice i'll have to live with it.

what you could try is in CWM onl doe the wipes for cache and devlink. And additional fix permissions.
If this does not help, reflash the rom.zip just on top. Only also with wipe cache and devlink.
If this does not help, then you can try to flash just the gapps ontop. But be sure that you download the zip. for your rom and or for your ICS....
I am not sure which one is correct, but perhaps you can find in darkroms thread a link? You can find all of the gapps versions here: http://goo.im/gapps/
I think this one will work anyways, but its not the lateset: http://goo.im/gapps/gapps-ics-20120429-signed.zip
This one should be the neweset for ICS: http://goo.im/gapps/gapps-ics-20111230-signed.zip
If all this doesn't help, i am afraid there is nothing else then you do a new, clean installation on your phone....

Gtalk crash - com.google.process.gapps

I have just bought the s3 mini phone, and I have a strange error. When I recieve a message on Google talk, i get the error message that com.google.process.gapps has stopped.
Ive tried factory reset, going to settings>applications>all and cleared data for Internet, all google services, Ive disabled/enabled Downloads, Downloads manager, also i have removed and restored Google account multiple times, and tried several google accounts. Still the same com.google.process.gapps error appears.
I also experimented with Sync properties, but no luck.
Well, i know i can wait for cwm recovery and upgrade gapps probably, but is there a solution to this problem. It seems to be I8910 specific.

[Q] CyanogenMod 11 google account connection error

Hello everyone.I have a Sony xperia ZR running cm 11 kitkat 4.4.4. I flashed my phone with cm11 couple of weeks back and it was working fine till yesterday when it started showing null imei error to solve that issue I flashed cm11 again and the null imei error was solved, but when I tried logging into Google account it showed the can't establish a reliable connection error. I tried editing hosts file which is the easiest way there is but cm11 won't let me edit it even with root editor , I get the "unable to save the file hosts". I tried a couple of other methods no help there either.

I've tried pretty much everything. install an earlier version of CyanogenMod. reset all settings. formatting the SD card. the only way I can get the data connection to work is by installing stock sony software on the phone. what can I do to get the data connection to work with CyanogenMod. have also tried to install cm12 but still does not work.

I think it will be good to know the model of your Z1...
If you are on a C6902, there is an additional file to flash for the modem-related stuff.
of course. it is a c6903
we just made a discovery. by flashing an old enough version of CyanogenMod we got it to work. but when we reinstall the latest we will have the same problem back
