3rd party battery, faster phone, is this real?

Hello everyone,
Last week i installed a 3rd party battery (celly) in my kaiser and since then it looks like my kaiser is much faster now, and my phone disn't crash since then! With the old battery the phone crashed about 4 times a week. The startup time of the phone is two times as fast as before!
Are there more people experiencing this?

What is the power rating of the battery? My guess is that it must be one of the new super high powered batteries and the result of the extra juice is that you now have a super phone. Congrats!

Reminds me of a time, back in the mid 90's when I was still carrying a pager,
I had issues with it just "freaking out" and displaying garbage. Took it back to the store, and some 19 something girl told me it was because I was using an
alkaline battery, I needed to use a regular battery. I just laughed and said
honey, I've been in electronics longer than you've been alive. Just go behind the curtain and get me another one, ok? She just looked at me like "well that's what they told me to say". Needless to say, I got a new pager, problem solved.

Perhaps there was something wrong with you old battery that caused the ohone to perform funny.... Just a thought.

Hmm, the default one that comes with the phone is a 1350mAh, the one you purchased seems to be less powerful.

[Q] Is my battery bad?

Hi, I have been using my Z1 for a while, but I have never get good battery, screen on time my best is 4 hours and not even a day on battery
I have flashed few firmwares and repair the rom via sony PC companion, but still the same
Am i having bad battery? I used to be able to last at least one day on battery, but now i charge every night, i envy those people who can get 5hours screen time with 2 days on battery.
These are screenshots from my phone, please help me
Stamina mode on, Snapdragon battery guru, Greenify most installed apps, no system apps removed
And my phone seems got so much wakelock... It keeps awake

1. Flashing roms wont help if u dont let the android do its work
2. Game apps drain battery no matter what
3. Not sure if batteryguru is usefull at all
4. 18 hours is decent if u ask me
5. I see 17% on phone. Call alot?
Is ur auto sync on?

I know it's not going to help you a lot, but for comparison's sake, with a screen time of 4 hours, sync on, wifi on, location reporting on, stamina mode on, after 39 hours, I got down to 18% battery level. But, there is a catch, I am still on 4.3, not KitKat. If you want, I can also post some screens, but this is pretty much it.
So, by the looks of it, your KitKat is a bit of a battery hog, at least for now.

Okay, I will try to uninstall Batteryguru, but even standby it always awake, it is like using the phone or not is just the same. it keeps draining. and auto sync never on.

My wifi on when at home, and auto sync never on. i was at 4.3 too but seems just the same.

Hi,
After I uninstalled Battery Guru it had a better life, also, I saw that you played some Nintendo DS emulator there, heavy emulators like this one consumes lots of battery, that's one of the motives for this "low battery life". Also, I don't think 18 hours with 4 hours SOT is that bad.
I'll see further later to see if there's anything I can do to help better .

[Q] feel like returning after battery life ?

Anyone felt like returning this phones after a week cause of battery life?
Im not cause its not that bad and maybe a custom ROM may be able to work on that just looking for other people's experience and what they think thanks!

It's useable with a few temp.. tweaks .
The bottom line is this all occurs with lollipop in general S5 was great on kitkat ...until 5.0
It's not the phone it's features and O.S
People are disabling Volte and WiFi calling it helps a lot
I wouldn't return it over battery life yet the camera is way to good
Give it time We get roms soon and mods it's I take back everything +I said
Samsung needs to take back every s6 and Rethink there whole O.S
For a 750$ flag ship release its so buggy it's hopeless .
Camera is only worthwhile feature

Do one factory reset and set up phone again and disable VOLTE FOR NOW under Phone /More .
Cycle the battery meaning charge filly and let it fully drain as far as you can before recharging again .Another words don't fully charge it when it hits 40%
This is true the battery's learn a drain span
I'f you recharge anything above 10% it isn't gonna learn it's max capacity Takes like a week.
The main fix is Volte disable and WiFi calling

i turned off volte i dont really see the need for it i mean its a phone call why do you need such high speeds lol my phone is at 2 percent waiting for it to die lol thanks

If it wasn't for the rapid quick charge I probably would have
returned it but the fact that I can top off in a half an hour it's really not a problem getting through the day.

I think it has something to do that the phone is not going to deep sleep, i rooted mine and flashed a custom kernel, now it does deep sleep and battery is ok now

While battery life isn't as good as some phones I've used recently I still got 5hrs SOT yesterday. Not bad at all.

Has anyone tried going into Developer Options }Limit Back
Ground Processes to 4 ?
I wonder if this barely slows the Phone for most things but might give an additional ( wild guess 10% to 25%) Battery Life.
I don't have one but if this works....be easier for me to decide.
I may put this idea in a separate Thread.

Yea I can't complain about battery life. The screen is so ridiculous I end up using the phone for no reason, so my usage at least for now since it's new, isn't my normal usage.

Should I get one?

Hello dear XDA friends, Although I don't post a lot I still love you all .
Anyway, I am really tempted to get a Mate S ($/€319) after my LG G3's screen basically broke in half, the battery exploded and the touchscreen only working 10%, it's basically useless right now and I need a phone to replace it for a while until I decide what's going to be my ''real'' phone (I hate Apple but the 7+ Camera is amazing but then again maybe note 7 refurbs will be cheap.) So yeah I need to bridge the gap and I want to gift it to a relative when I'm done with it.
So is it worth it for 300 bucks?

I have the phone since 3 months now (rooted and latest rom version) and it is in overall very good but the battery. Screen is very great but although there are a good device manager, it doesn't stand a full day without reloading.
Also you can see from the different posts that this phone is not very popular among Android's cooks. So not a lot of answers and not a lot of tricks and tweaks. I regret the time I had a Nexus 4 where community was very active. Anyway, as I am really focused on battery life, this is the real flaw of this phone for me. But I guess there are not many phones that could do better.

What's the longest screen on time you got?

It actually depends what you gonna do with this phone.
I own it for last 8 months never really felt need for better battery during normal usage.
My typical usage with all the time brightness at auto and slider at max ( which on huawei even when inside usually means 80-90% brightness ) and outside always even when is dim day is 100% or boosted screen mode ends up with average 4:30-5h SOT with around 18-20hrs on battery. This is with about 60% wifi 40% 3g.
This includes bunch of social apps, youtube , music, calls, sms, light gaming of around 1hr per day.
The great thing about this phone is its soc and screen, the to S-amoled it never gets hot thus for it doesn't drain battery life fast like snapdragon devices.
Biggest fall of this soc is its GPU it isn't as good for heavy games like s810 devices for example.
If you're not a gamer I highly suggest this phone. If you have more money I suggest p9+, its a beast in all regards.

As you can see, I charged my phone and unplugged at 00.14. Wi-Fi off and no mobile data, no screen on. No apps running apart from home launcher and myProfile. All others are greenified. So in around 8h sleep it decreased by 20%.
I tried many tricks and I consider myself skilful for this (my LG G2 could last 3 days) but cannot do better with this one. The ROM is not good enough yet and update frequency is not good.

Question Galaxy App Booster Battery Drain

Hello everyone! I just reinstalled Galaxy App Booster after about a month of not using it and I noticed it had 16% battery usage since fully charged (see screenshot). Again, the app and Good Guardians were not installed since the beginning of February. Is this a bug? How can I permanently delete it? Did anyone else experience this? I'm really confused

You're looking at the total usage for Android Services not this app!
Simply uninstall it, it's part of Good Guardians.
Samsung actually improved it from 3 years ago. Now it works and runs fast...

I know it's improved, I use it about once a month and I love it! Does it really show the Android Services battery drain? I clicked on App info of Galaxy App Booster. Shouldn't it show this specific app's drain? I mean, the app wasn't installed for a month but maybe its services are still running in the background despite it being uninstalled, along with Good Guardians. Never came across this before, that's why I'm confused.

This how it shows on my N10+/Pie.
Obviously it hasn't used 22%, that's all that Android services has used. It's usage is incorporated into that figure. I doubt it drives baseline usage up much overall.
However I just started using it again 2 days ago so I'll keep an eye on my SOT figure in Accubattery history.

That's interesting. For me if I click battery it shows 3 options: Unrestricted, Optimized and Restricted. I put it on restricted for now to see any changes. Thanks a lot, had me confused for a little bit

What are you restricting, that app alone or Android Services? Restricting Android Services will likely cause issues. Optimized may be better but could still cause issues, even increase battery drain. See and observe...

On Android 13 you restrict the app (screenshot). I'm now trying with it restricted to see if anything changes. Will report back.

I think it runs in the background but at a minimum level, hopefully. It tracks app optimization. I would leave run unrestricted and see if it impacts overall SOT.

I tested it Restricted and it only drained 10%. It's really weird. I mean, it's practically impossible that this app drained 10% of battery since it's not used at all so it must be a bug or something, or maybe it's tied to to the Android System, as it is shown for you on Android 10. Beats me, I'm still confused

That's Android Services, the total consumption of all 20 or whatever services/apps. Mine reads 32% at this point because I haven't charged to 100% in a while. Pretty much normal.
