Install Instructions (please keep in mind that i do NOT own a Tab 2 which means i depend on feedback from actual users...thx)
1. Install CWM or TWRP recovery
2. Flash a rooted & deodexed 4.2.2 rom (this mod SHOULD work with any firmware)
3. Install BusyBox (needed for zip installation as well as mode switcher app)
4. Download an alternative launcher (i use apex personally)
5. Flash the V1 for your device (P51xx owners may experience force closes until step 6 is performed)
6. Click the xposed installer, press install/update then go to modules and place a check in "MW Apps Manager" and reboot (this allows u to add other apps to the multiwindow menu)
7. After reboot uncheck then re-check multiwindow in "settings-display" to activate flashbar (or hold the back button until it appears)
Known Issues
1. Huge icon when minimized
2. Email force close
3. For some reason (i have an educated guess) u MUST have xposed framework installed (already included in zip) or else freezing/force closing will occur
This mod will enable dual/split multiwindow mode by default...If u would like to switch to floating windows then use the app created by @xperiacle linked to below. For those who prefer permanent floating windows then simply delete the "com.sec.feature.multiwindow.phone.xml" located in "system-etc-permissions"...if u would rather have both split AND floating windows AT THE SAME TIME (this is the best of both worlds but requires specific dpi settings) then there should be a way to get this working as well but i would need a user who is willing to help me figure out the proper settings for your device (try 176 dpi which is what worked on my P6200). One more thing...when reporting problems please indicate which device u are using (7" or 10.1") and what variant (P3110, P5100 etc.)

i only mentioned that post for the free app...please follow the directions in the first post. Also note...any id number u see will be different for the Tab 2 since the instructions are for a different device so just look for the line "notification_panel_active_app_list" instead

I've tried it on MicroDelta. While the option is available in settings, selecting Multi Window causes the entire screen to become unresponsive. Restarting causes a boot loop.
Trying on Cyanogen 10.1. Cyanogen loaded fine, when I installed the Multi Window apk, boot loop.

do NOT flash this on cyanogen because it will NEVER work...please check on your device and see if the files were actually placed in the specified locations with proper permissions. i have been having a weird zip issue on my system so something may need to be copied manually...anyone else using microdelta please test & report asap

in microDELTA also and i got problem for getting to system UI,
I didin't find any error message however screen keep goes blank to system UI vise versa, and never get to full UI
will check if everything placed properly

replace the android.policy.jar with your original from the microdelta rom or restore your backup then remove then android.policy.jar from the zip and try to flash again...let me know the results. Also...be sure that u dont have xposed installed twice. If u already had it then it's located in "data-app" while this zip will also place a copy in "system-app"...if u were using xposed prior to flashing this mod then remove it from the zip as well

Replace android policy makes system ui work. :good:
Native multi window work great, but alternative (split mode, gives way too big apps)
I've changed through note8 switcher, you provide.
Btw change ui through this apps gives awkward ui

found the problem....just restore & redownload the zip then u should be good to go. Also...could u tell me the exact model number of the device that you're using? (i assume it's a P3100)

U didnt miss it..i just added the line AFTER u said something
replace your android.policy.jar with the one below...this should enable the pin function while in floating mode

It's a P3113, it still crashes in MicroDelta, and when I reboot I have no touchscreen function for about 15sec before it crashes again. It's a shame, because I REALLY want this lol

are u using 4.1.2 or 4.2.2? This does NOT work on 4.1.2...the android.policy.jar is not neccesary for this to work and actually thats how i just fixed the mod by removing it from the zip. Another user just reported this now working on the microdelta rom and the only clear difference i see is that he is using the 3g version while both of u guys have wifi only tabs...at this point i need u both to manually check that each file has been copied to the correct location with proper permissions added

I forgot to mention that MicroDelta is a 4.2.2 ROM.
I found out the crash and bootloop problem, I forgot to install the XPosed framework (and restart the tablet) BEFORE activating the multiwindow option in Settings->Display. I should have paid a little more attention to the steps.
Now it seems to work correctly. I did have to delete the "com.sec.feature.multiwindow.phone.xml" file and restart the tablet, before that the apps started full screen and there was no title bar (i thought that in split mode they get a title or something similar).
Thanx for your work and sorry for not paying more attention before.
P.S. i had a restart, but i don't know if it's related to MultiWindow or not, i'll make a clean install of the ROM and see if it reproduces or not.

interesting...i thought it was weird that xposed needed to be installed for the mod to work anyway but it didnt make sense at all that the P51xx required it but the P31xx didnt (guess i'll edit the instructions to make it neccesary for everyone to cut down on the confusion). Now i'm wondering if everybody who had success in the other thread already had it installed but anyway...just so u know while using the tab in dual mode(with phone.xml) the apps must be "dragged" out of the flashbar instead of "clicked" and they will open side side (i'm looking at a few photos of dual mode and some have title bars while others dont). Now i need a favor..can u please swap your android.policy.jar with the one in post #13? This should enable the pin function while in floating mode...thx

* Installs two plugins in system
* Install - go to flash player app check the preferences and launch browser website
* In browser settings check the box "Allow Plugins Always"
* Tested on desktop site of YouTube at full screen and plays clips fine all in sync with sound perfect crisp clear.

Check for app starting with F for FLASH PLAYER it will be there... I made the same mistake
Also, the flashplayer plugins are not made to install to the typical system lib as they have specific permissions as you may see in the script (another reason why so many people who have done as you have suggested and failed - hey I am not picking on you cause I have done that too haha)
What that means is that there is a reason for why they are installed under
/system/lib/plugins/com.adobe.flashplayer
permissions are specific for that folder ^^^
EDIT:EDIT....Im so stupid. I am making two zips at once...please disregard that comment. Files removed again LOL. Wifi...and flash sheeesh haha

Actually I have just adjusted the install just incase you don't have the module or the rild file....which I assumed was included in all ICS builds.
Try the installation again with the new zip package see if that works?
EDIT: Just checked against a stock OneCosmic build and the rild file is different size and date, so maybe the new one will work, if not I will upload mine. But I think all bases will be covered....your one should work if its there the module on the otherhand may not be there depending on your ROM?

strange...hmm it worked fine for me? I have had some build prop updates and that may have changed something allowing flash to work?
Either that or it too maybe TW framework determined? that sounds like a high possibility since all system files are signed against a framework. Let me make another adjustment and tell me if that works?

+1 on this. I'm on ICS Passion, and the only flash problems I'm having are higher bit-rate files, such as the ones on Amazon's library.
I thought it would be ROM related, as a 2.3.4 ROM I had played totally smoothly.
Please let me know if this would help!
OK, so official flash doesn't work properly in ICS with anything other than Google's browser.
Since I find the official browser sub-standard and lacking in key features (compared to Opera and Dolphin) I would like to have flash working on the aforementioned browsers as it used to do in Gingerbread/Froyo. Is *this* what this patch addresses or it merely fixes problems of flash in the official browser (which as I said don't even use, uninstalled even)...
If so I would have to give it a whirl, if not please tell me so that to avoid the unnecessarily flashing... Thanks.

When you say it didn't work...are you "looking for an app" or are you testing the flash capability in the browser set to request desktop and playing a youtube clip?
Can you try that before saying it didn't work please. I need proper feedback. Saying it didn't work doesn't help

Always do a backup before flashing any file, but give it a whirl and see how this go?
Do you have Rootbrowser? If so can you navigate to /system/lib and see if there is a plugins folder?

Understandable. I believe that the stock browser (if it has it and its not just hearsay) can play at normal mobile website flash clips, but struggles when you go to a desktop site or it falls over. You have the option to force or request desktop site in browser but no option for mobile for sites that are not mobile equiped? Which kinda sux and defeats the purpose and restricts you to like "youtube" only sites....hence why I did my test in on the desktop version of the site
Brings to my attention that I should actually test in other browsers. I was under the impression that flash doesn't work all together on ICS...and when seeing the builds and install and noting no plugins for flash support it didn't surprise me at all

i flashed it in cwm, rebooted(couldn't see flash player settings in app drawer), went to stock browser, tried to play a video but wasn't working...
no plugins, nothing...

Installed on passion v12 and nothing changed same sites that didnt work before stay the same ( not working) ..nothing got ruined by flashing this either as far as i can tell after hours of flashing it.

all i did was fix the updater script to work on DHD, and fix the tweaks scripts where necesary, because desire uses sd-ext for some system files
what is this
this is a fix for all of us still using sense 3.5 roms with RCTweaks, which makes pretty much all of the tweaks work again without using the offline server(fonts,bootanims,oc daemons...). this changes tweaks scripts to use files stored on sdcard(included in zip). everything should work, except settings/rctweaks/extras/recommended apps(avalible in play store) and updating of the rctweaks. if you find something else not working, please report and i will do my best to fix it.
how to
i would recommend to do a nand backup first, just in case
flash zip through recovery like any other flashable zip
do not delete /sdcard/.RCTeam folder, the files needed for the tweaks are in there!
do not click on update tweaks in settings/rctweaks/extras because it will delete tweaks apk and you will have to manually push it back
i found this fix a while back while trying to locate a flashable zip of virtuous oc via google. i had no idea where it came from or how it works. Thank you Prof Peach for providing a source for that zip, so i am able to give proper credits.

for now, only RCMix 4.0
i think it should work on any sense 3.5 rom which uses RCTweaks. so if anyone is willing to test on any other rom, please report so i can add to this post
my edited update script(originally made by Prof Peach) is very basic. it works for me in 4ext, i havent tested in cwm
and for the end, standard disclaimer: i am not responsible if anything goes wrong. i will try my best to help, but my knowledge is very limited. also, please dont bug people in credits for the mistakes i might have made

on patchas rom bootanimations didnt work and swype to clear was removed when switching black/white systemui in tweaks. fixed in new version of rom

it cant work, because this does not contain full rctweaks, neither does arhd. if you have rctweaks installed, status bar should come back after reboot.
if none of this is the case, extract /system/app/systemui.apk from original rom zip and push via adb, or copy to same folder on your device using root explorer or something similar .dont forget to set permissions rw-r-r

it should yes. im saying that generally the download does work. might be region/isp/mobile related. i can surely post some mirror, but other download sites have the annoying waiting that i really want to avoid.

huh, not really unfortunately. i havent tested this even in rcmix, because lyoptas camera i'm using has this option built in. check settings menu in camera app, with some luck the function will be there

well, i made a test on my rom, and the scripts themselves work, but in my case camera obviously uses built in sounds(in apk), which makes it not "see" the changes. i looked in patchas roms zip and sound files are in same place then rcmix. so i guess your case is the same as mine. check camera settings

Informations:
Here is a simple apk to odex automatically, easily and securely deodexed roms.
This apk has been coded by the famous Paul Obrien from Modaco Roms and Forums.
This guy is just a genious.
The original apk has been done for Galaxy S II but it works on P990 O2X (tested working). --> Original thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1215271
Odexing a deodexed rom is giving you a boost in smoothness (you can see it in the launcher or in scrolling through system apps), performance and battery.
It gives you the flexibility to have a custom rom with modified system, framework and design AND all the tweaks that come with a custom rom in addition to the performance of an odexed stock rom.
To use it:
1) Do a nandroid backup in cwm
2) Make sure you have a rooted rom, without root the app won't do much but install.
3) Allow "Unknown sources" by going into Settings > Security > and scroll down.
4) Download the .apk either down below, or from the link above.
5) Install as a normal app.
6) Open the app, make sure you give it root access, and it will run.
7) Let it run, it will reboot your phone, take around 5-10 minutes, and then reboot again. You will be greeted by "Android is upgrading" which means its rebuilding your dalvik cache.
8) Once its at the lock screen, done! You can make sure it did its job by using a file explorer with root access (I use ES File Explorer, if that helps) and go to the root of your phone's memory, go to system > app, and you should see a bunch of "appnamehere".odex files.
It will:
1) reboot your phone
2) odex all the system staying on a black screen or on the Google screen a bit longer than normally (but it's normal)
3) put a ".odex" file with each app in /system/app
4) reboot again
5) go back to home
--> You will then see your boost in smoothness!

obviously I could not decide to which category. I checked other "odex me" posts and I decided to open this topic here.
Is the nandroid backup necesary ? And is this thing really worth it ? Like is there any noticeable difference ?

Its not working for me , im gettin the "This application has encountered an error .." error right before rebooting or i think thats the error , since i cant read it fast enoguh before rebooting so ye..any idea whats happening ? The weird thing is that it does everything you say up there , even the "android is upgrading" thingy but it does it for like 36 application . not 126 or so *the actual number i have installed*
EDIT: I have reinstalled it and i didnt got that error anymore, but it still not working like it should had.
EDIT 2: The applications do seem to open faster ... meh idk , im waiting for your answer.

Sorry. Its just one way ticket. If you want to reverse deodexed version, you can use cwm restore.
If you flash new reodexed rom or upgrade your reodexed rom (like cm nightlies), you can repeat this operation.

I dont think so. This apk designed for sgs2 but working fine on my p990. You can try other rooted and busybox installed devices.

What is your custom rom? Is it rooted and deodexed? It seems odexed rom problem.

DM X 1.2.1 OC with KingOfBirds 0.3 kernel OC
Hi, this is another port of MaxxAudio from ColorOS which is ported to a CM12 ROM by a chinese developer, rom's link here
I pulled the files from the ROM and added some missing files which is required by the audio_effect.conf
I also pulled the OppoGesture from the ROM but I'm not able to integrate it into system so it's kind of useless
Before install this I recommend you to backup your system because I'm not going to make a revert zip.
**This zip is taken from the v4a for lollipop installer so it will delete your audiofx etc, I added a few lines to set permission but if it doesnt set successfully you have to set it urself (Sorry, didnt make installer zip for a long time already)
BUG: Custom setting doesnt stick after reboot, others seems worked fine, you can "logcat | grep wave" to see the status
Have to re-enable after each mode change
[EDIT][NEW UPLOAD] New zip uploaded as I forgot to put the maxxaudio apk file in the zip file, I won't mind if you call me retard, now after flash it should have the maxxaudio running as a visible service in your statusbar like my screenshot

Flashed it on CM12.1 didn't work. Also recovery warn me about the permissions error....what do I have to fix manually? If I look into system/app/com.maxx.... i find everything set.
You can just set everything to 777 manually, I never tried it on 12.1 tho
Guys I've managed to create a navbar mod for the oreo carbon rom developed by rcstar6696. As the oreo carbon rom aint complete with customisations at the present which we had at the time of nougat.
The mod is : changed navbar height from 48dp to 32dp
(there is no color, navbar button theme, etc changed)
Required:
1. TWRP recovery
2. Obviously the rom for which the mod is
Root is not required
Installation:
1. Reboot to TWRP recovery
2. Install the attached zip
3. reboot
Bugs:
No bugs at all
Based on the OMS overlay system of android
It can bootloop 1-2 times after applying new mod. Just be patient and let it boot.
Testers needed:
This mod may work on other phones or roms running android 8.0 as long as they have the same Ids in the android framework. Which is most likely.
So someone with other phones on android 8.0 or other roms on z2(8.0 only) too plz test this out and let me know.
I cant test because i dont have any other device.
Plz let me know if it works so i can create a universal mod too.
In case if it bootloops, revert back by-
1. Reboot to TWRP
2. Mount system
3. Delete file "android.navbar_mod.apk" in system/vendor/overlay
4. Reboot
Also ive tried creating a dynamic navbar mod but it bootloops. So anyone with some info can help

I can modify the framework for that but im not sure if the system will accept it. As 30dp results in bootloop if substratum theme is applied pre mod.
So for complete hiding i suggest u use the custom navbar app on the playstore...:good:
And if u wanna test the 0 dp navbar mod ill create it for u let me know.:angel:

2nd tip - uninstall all substratum overlays and try again.

It works with 8.1 but in 8.1 the navbar icons scale with the navbar height so the back and the recents button become tiny as a dot. Functionality is not impaired though. Its 8.1 feature i dont think i can fix it.
But u can apply it and navbar will become small and at the same time use the pixel navbar app from playstore (with animation turned off in app) or use the custom navigation bar pro theme for the navbar(only available in pro).
The above apps apply a navbar button overlay and so u can see the buttons again. I'm using it the same way.
